    Ok I’m working on setting up my vr sim pit. I want to make sure I set it right. And don’t forget anything. I’m building a top notch cpu and GPU. I got the new rift s. My pit starts with a Speedmaster Flight seat and tubular frame with a 32’ curved monitor mounted to it. I have the gametrix vibrations seat pad. Voice attack which I’m working on. A nice headphone with mic setup. Hotas depends on the airframe for helicopters currently it’s the puma from pro Flight trainers. For A-10c and other duel engine fixed wings it’s the tm warthog throttle and stick both have mods. The throttle has just another slew upgrade and the stick uses 2 6” extensions so I can mount it to the base of the pit. For single engine airframes I sub in the tm cougar throttle with two mods the first is I swapped out the interface pcb with a usb one so it would connect directly to the pc. And second I swapped out the old potentiometers for Rel4y’s magnetic sensors. Did the same with the stick which is mounted on the right side of seat. For pedals I use the tm tpr pedals. I have a couple of things I’m not mentioning until tested. What else would you have in your vr pit how would you set it up?

    I found the usb pcb the micro USB port was hidden by the wrapping. But I only got two sensors I should have enough for both the throttle and stick or are more coming

    What’s the best price plus shipping to us in usd’s? Also is there a start trigger under the head like the huey?

    I received the kits today, there were only two sensors and something else if it was the usb conversion how does it work as I don’t see the place to plug a usb cable in plus no sensor for the throttle. Is the throttle parts shipped separately or are those the throttle and the stick coming separate?

    Use a trackball instead of mouse that way you only need a searing footprint instead of the mousepad footprint get one with mouse wheel option

    No helicopters are the opposite of fixed wing seats so iirc the rt seat is the pic.

    Back in July 96 I got to ride on a h-60 from holloman afb Nm to sd and back the next day. On the trip up we stopped for fuel at great falls iirc then by my Rushmore at sunset the the af base there then next morning out by my Rushmore and crazy horse monument then to the usaf academy for a display before heading home to nm.

    Probably by watching what the ac is doing. When I was a msf instructor that’s how we could tell if the rider was braking or acceleratorating

    I have a point ctrl but I’m in the process of redoing things from redoing my pit to replacing the drives in my laptop to having a new pc built. I bought the new rift s but I haven’t set it up yet because of everything. Yes please post detailed pics of everything. I have two mods and thinking of grabbing this buddy fox. I haven’t setup the point ctrl yet since the rift s isn’t setup. I need to get busy.

    Non o not to pick on you but it isn’t complete we haven’t received multicrew yet iirc it’s the only two pilot aircraft that doesn’t have it. I’m sure if we look at the list of features released when it was we will find other features lacking. Why am I so ardently opposedto a new pay version because imo I haven’t received what I paid for the first time. A different model huey especially a modern one would be nice but I’d prefer the original huey complete before a second one is released for more money and I’m not sure if I would go the early release route again on the huey so it would have to be complete before I would think about it. Also I’d prefer a h-60 over a second huey.

    I have a question for the most squadrons. First I’ve seen some squadrons require engine startup clearance from ground where others don’t or is that common for dcs squadrons? Second you do require clearance before taxi correct? I know in the civilian world at controlled airfields clearance for both is required from my research. I also believe that the usaf requires clearance for both also but have no hard proof.
