Big Rey, I’m wondering how the two will interact with dcs and each other. I’m having a hard time understanding how two mods can be active at the same time or are you either flying the hornet or a part of the carrier crew? Can someone explain how the super carrier and hornet will work together. With the carriers we have now you spawn on the deck and taxi to the launch position then you get blasted off the carrier if you’re lucky and landing is perty much like landing on a runway with vast but a navy version how will the new systems work?

Wags will the carrier be a module like a plane or more like a terrain? How will the two interact carrier and f-18. I’m guessing more like the gps mod.

Ditto,just need to install and setup oculus and configure my hotas once the f-18 grip arrives and install the beta version before my procedure Wednesday and hope I can hit the cockpit Friday for fam and practice

Remove the baseplate and mont the wh base directly to your existing setup without the baseplate that is how Mose setups for the center work.

I ordered an f-18 grip today since I joined a group putting on a f-18 workshop for beginners to dcs and or the f-18. Today was the first class and they briefed us on the requirements and expectations. Today they mainly assisted with setting up srs and your hotas. So afterwards I decided to buy the f-18 grip being caught up in the mood. Afterwards I started thinking my warthog base is setup with two extensions and when I ordered it I was thinking of putting it on the cougar base after updating the potentiometers to magnetic sensor by Rel4y. But will the pcb in the cougar base support the f-18 grip? That’s my question will the f-18 grip work on the cougar base?

No setup for most as I recall just mount them where you can find them under the hood.

I have 2 long extensions from Sahaj he sells them through a link in the for sale forum. I’m hoping he can build me a single curved on that will replace the 2 extensions I have . The 2 extensions allows me to Velcro the large base plate yo the carpeted floor of my pit.and the grip is the correct height

Do you really need a baseplate or can you remove the large base plate and mount directly to the base as designed

I would like for the headset to only carry radio sounds, I’d like something for in cockpit sounds and something for out of cockpit sounds I have a jet seat for vibration. How would you do this multiple sound cards or can it be done with one system and would you 7.1 or 5.1. P,us would having a Sony sound bar do any good.

If you can find one mod it with Rel4y’s magnetic sensors and usb pcb then yes I have both setups modded the wh throttle with alphadeltalima1’s slew control,moddin the axises on the cougar hotas with Rel4y’s sensors and usb pcb if the rest work as designed I’ll be golden. Whstick in center cougar stick off to the right like rl viper. In my pit I have a collective right next to the seat, just left of that is the wh throttle which looks to be inboard on the lt panel setup on the v Pier it looks to be outboard so I mount the cougar throttle just left of the warthog one.

From my understanding it does more but I could be wrong but asked the guy updating it would be my best advice. I have a central folder on my Dropbox folder with my mods I use ovgme to simulate placing the active ones for the profile for lack of a better term it use both the dcs directory and the saved games folder at run time so dcs doesn’t mess with I;t during updates, cleaning, repairing etc Let me know if it helps or not.

I have the puma and planning on it to fill the travel need for helicopter controls by travel I’m moving it to my Motorhome for use on trips ranging from 3 months or longer once my medical stuff ic complied with. For the. Main I hope to use a Maxflight collective with a modified head for the huey I the future and probably rewiredthe axis to a Leo bednor pcb instead of the default Maxflight pcb. If the Kiowa stick and collective come out for sale I might give $500-750 each if it has all the buttons,switched and rotarys that are on the actual head also better quality switches buttons and encoders plus Hal or magnet sensors for the axises

More info needed. Is it a warthog or cougar or a cheaper one or is it a modifier board? If it’s the original cougar board that gas the d9 plug I may have one real soon I’m modding my cougar throttle with magnetic sensors instead of the original potentiometer and swapping out the pcb so it plug directly into the usb plug no more going through the stick which is also getting the potentiometers replaced with magnetic sensors.

What is it? How can it be better

Look in to ovgme you can physically place your folder anywhere out of dcs range then use ovgme to tell the main root stuff what it needs to know when you run dcs. It does the same for the info that goes in the saved game path . Now the directory structure need to match as if it is being physically place there because that’s what happing when you run but it is troves afterwards

Iirc you will need a verbal command with the key ring the macro above without the Viacom prefix crap. And if all you want is to add that macro to a button on the hotas then you would need to use the macro and or a special modifier action just yet it I’m not that up on Viacom but I know there’s away to setup command that run macros or composit keys. That’s if you want it to work when you sa the command use Viacom otherwise go the dcs control option way if that fails use target or foxy for thrustmaster hotas.

Juice I like the couple of video you have done I left a comment on your viper form Flt/aar . I lkike how hard it would Fe to refuel the viper with the refueling port aft of the cockpit and its impossible to see you thought me about using the lights. Another part you spoke like you were going to assist your wingman off camera and help him configure his hotas using the curves and deadzones. . I would like for you to do sa general videos of setting up your hotas axises and puttins especially the important buttons and how to use most features so most things none from taxiing to shutdown are mapped please on the aces cover the curve and why you use them and how much of a curve to use and the disadvantage of> use I git in the end do a pro con of the advantage vs disadvantage you do this setup video I will do two or more things first I will link to the video when I do my setup article and if I agree use your settings. Second so reviews of your videos once a month matrices until I’m caught up and post it on my blog . Link in my signature iirc. Third might end up with articalsrelated to your videos. Are the open slots released on Saturday or Sunday? I’ve been by on both and haven’t seen any openings posted in the past is it possible to provide names ahead of time and you fill the slots available when those names and just announce who was selected and a new list starts after that announcement?
