sidenote, what is your color grading setting? -
7800X3D/9800X3D vs. 14900k - any benchmarks?
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Winger's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I don´t know where you live, but apparently in my country, 7800x3d are hitting the 600€ mark, insane. -
yes, no tgp, and will switch to CBU-87. I think F-16C from that age only carried 1 maverick per pylon, and maybe ECM underside
-
Right now my cockpit is for F-16 flying, so I added one client slot with air spawn with Mk82 and CBU105. Once I reached the shoreline, the amount of defenses populate the HSD. Weather definitely plays a part. Oil rigs burning add a lot to the atmosphere. FPS were good, despite my modest PC. Once the traces began flying and RWR alive, fun and sweating increased Thanks a lot, definitely a candidate for a mission with my virtual sqn mates with small modifications.

Testing, thanks for sharing!

fixed Iraq map won't Launch on Steam
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Ramses823's topic in Bugs and Problems
I bought the map when price was ajusted on Steam, but apparently my installation is corrupted and can´t move forward. DCS is updated, but the map never shows as paid. Steam says DLC is within my library. Veryifyng local files provides a 221 files restored. But back again, a "corrupt update files" appear and back to square one. Besides uninstalling/installing the whole sim, what other options do I have? -
make sure to verify files, restart steam client and even reboot.

99% sure, something like TRAINING will be into the server names, in order to help people choosing and avoid misunderstandings I think for voicechat you need an input from your aircraft VHF and UHF radios at least. No idea if you could take a simpler way with just one "press to talk PTT" input. My virtual squadron is not into DCS voice chat. Still.
-
Maybe they spend all time on multiplayer, or join a squadron with baked training missions, or buy single player DLC campaigns, or they are happy with things like Inferno mission generators. The community is very broad
-
I don't think it's zero effort, believe it or not, many dcs players have no idea about editing a mission. So your proposal is having missions for every, again every, available module. For free, no recharge for customers. It's plainly inviable

F-16 Arctic Thunder - Read this before playing
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Reflected's topic in F-16C Arctic Thunder Campaign
Noted, much appreciated the input. -
there is no way any software developer is going to stop their job because of mods. It´s the other way around, mods shall adapt to the available base or core. And with the whole DCS World being a neverending "work in progress", it´s a bumpy road to keep updated.

It is part of DCS, its not another app like Discord or a 3rd party addon like SRS.
-
When you click on Multiplayer and the server list appears, there is a small icon on the left stating if the server uses DCS Voice chat or not.
-
I don´t think the new module will be a chopper, after Apache and Chinook. No idea. Only thing I ask for 2025 is having more time to spend with friends in DCS.

Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to markturner1960's topic in DCS: Iraq
If a player believes a map is too expensive, it would be great DCS could provide the option to fly on free maps, different areas of course, one lets say with high mountains, and the other mostly ocean with islands, even online, even with other players using different modules without having to buy everything. I guess that would be a popular option for online like you said. But one only can wish huh. -

Health first sir. I hope you are doing better. -
Imagine having the option for not paying upfront, if you as a customer, dislikes the uncertainty of early access.

yes they do, as stated on Steam forums. Yes Al Udeid will be included, check FAQ for further info https://forum.dcs.world/topic/365676-dcs-iraq-release-faq/#comment-5567401 -
Will try tomorrow over Cairo thanks for suggestion!

PG at night didn´t look like that, it was featured later. 2 years ago? 3? It´s the way of early access. I don´t remember Sinai or Syria, but I think PG is the best map all across DCS, night enviroment wise. Caucasus and NTTR are older than PG, but they don´t like that great at night. My point is map age is not a factor either.
