New Simpit Setup Suggestions
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to drz400dude's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Vr is very doable for cockpits. I'm fact having the devices in a fixed position helps building muscle memory. Check my signature, for devices and vr -

Looking for new VR PC Build ( Tips needed )

is it me or prices skyrocketed? last time I checked was first week of December -
Some kind of teflon tape? I have one around. Yes I greased the axis. By finicky I mean sometimes the throttle moves under its own weight. Like friction is way too low. Another great thing would be knowing how you set up the axis withing DCS. User curve?
-
Please check DCS - Settings - Audio, what do you have selected for "Main audio out" and "Headphones"
-
Please elaborate, I have a Cougar upgraded to USB as well. But despite having the friction knob all the way, I find it finicky.

Plenty of sheepskin at work from A32X and A330, but for the life of me, can´t find the ejection seats -
16 Nov Update - South Atlantic Mountains
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Captain Orso's topic in South Atlantic
Yeah many times, I just launch a small DCS mission to decompress from the day. Simple tasks, formation, refuelling, CCIP iron bombs, a couple of GBUs... Some times even just being in F-16 cockpit, canopy down, rainy weather, cold aircraft. It´s kind of therapeutic. -

Yeah you inspired me for a practice formation flight 2xF-16 over that Ushuaia area to Almirante Schroeders airbase -
Looking good!

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Tricky to say, because many variables involved. I have a Jetseat and 2 shakers by the rudder pedal plate. Anyway here you are, my config for those aircraft. Take it as a baseline. -

the options which demand a DCS restart are labeled ingame with a "*"
-
Please provide a zip code in order to calculate that

A lot, once you get used to that, there is no way you are flying if the device is off. You dont feel a regular roll, but will feel when pulling g loads, or when approaching stall. One fair example is I never broke the wings of the tomcat again after buying the device. My flying is more finesse and smooth. Using weapons, dropping flares, ground rolling, air brake out, landing gear operation... Like I told you for me it's mandatory to fly

Selling these after Winwing stuff have been placed under the xmas tree. I fly a tight budget VR so they are a nice compromise. Hornet UFC is done by Etsy user OnyourTwelve, selling from USA. Perfect working condition. Great oportunity to save shipping costs from the USA as well for you, European users. Price 60 € Viper ICP was bought from an Italian user from a Facebook DIY group. Price 30 € Both devices are plug and play, no need to program anything. Bind your controls directly from DCS settings - Controls. I will upload pics later today. Shipping from 28002 Spain, Europe. Buyer covers shipping. Have a great Xmas day everyone.
