Just to add, the gooseneck extension is the Virpil 200mm

Hello, Years ago I bought a second hand base MT-50 Mongoose. This summer I bought a "gooseneck" extension and now I find the stick too easy to move because of the bigger lever. Found the springs the former owner provided. It´s black and the other pair metal/gold. Therefore, what springs are currently installed? Manuals and stuff seem to be difficult to find. Lot of CM2 and CM3 bases material around the Internet, but not for this one.

ButtKicker or Haptic seat pad?
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to AlpineGTA's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I would say adjust engine effect first. It tends to dilute anything else if the setting is too high. Check also the option to reduce engine effect once airborne, it´s on"special settings" tab from SSA. Secondly, things like F-16 flaps or F-14 wing sweep, tend to work A LOT inflight. Make sure they are low settings. Export your setting to save them, the app will create a file for the config of all your modules, in case you have to reinstall or update. And lastly, $133 absolute bargain, you are very lucky! -
was comfort the trigger to refund? hot from rage or due to the shakers getting overheated? because the software allows for controlling intensity, both general and particular for each effect. Engine effects tends to dilute things, so it´s usually very low on my settings, because it´s of course working all the time once startup is done. Besides, SSA got a tick for having full engine effects on ground, but reduced airborne.

ButtKicker or Haptic seat pad?
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to AlpineGTA's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I would say, if you fly a lot of fs2020 or xplane, normal aircraft, a buttkicker is great, because you don´t have many "stereo" effects with that kind of flying, mostly no stores to drop lol. But cars and military aircraft, if I had to choose one, it would be a seat pad. I would buy a HF8 from amazon, sit for 30 mins, check you ass return or join the ass shaker club. Take full advantage of Amazon return policy. Andre JetSeat is a great product, but these days it´s more expensive than HF8, and delivery and payment could be messy (things of Russia and real life geopolitical conflicts...) Can´t really compare with Amazon. Other users report the HF8 thickness being a issue so they have to modify their pits to keep ergonomy. CPU usage is negligible. No delay either. Time ago people visited my house to test VR and my pit with a seat pad. It was funny they began flying, with everything turned on. Then, after 4-5 mins, I quietly turned the seat pad OFF, well, you couldn´t believe their reactions, even after such short time, flying with the seat pad off was a massive turndown and the sim felt empty and numb for them. I don´t know what else to say -
ButtKicker or Haptic seat pad?
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to AlpineGTA's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
both are great and a massive improvement. the seat pad with individual shakers, even though they are less powerful, is better suited for effects with left/right feeling, for instance dropping ordnance from left or right wing. You can tell, with your eyes closed, from what wing the bomb fell off. Ground rolling is also noticeable, feeling the bump first atht the knee area shakers, then your ass area. Landing gear doors, main and nose, also feel different than a single "chunk". Starting left and right engine, it´s noticeable. The main rotor of helicopters, very noticeable. For these effects, the buttkicker response is more limited. However, it´s better suited for certain effects like touchdown, dropping countermeasures, damage received... is budget a thing? if not, combine both and you will get the best of both worlds do you play civilian aircraft or simracing? they both work great there. if budget is a thing, you could get a HF8 seat pad for like $220. Plug and play, software is free. Regarding comfort, yeah, it´s worse than no pad and your experience may vary. Maybe long sessions are not your thing. Buy a pad now for black friday, and buttkicker for xmas lol -

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
When using the A-10CII module, I noticed the gear doors effect got a bigger "clonk", somehow unexpected. Did the files change? is it an error? Speedbrakes effect also feels different to months ago. Very noticeable even at low SSA values (20 or less). -
a cheap motorbike steeing damper is enough, it´s even adjsutable on the fly with a rotary knob

Long stick - floor based joystick - options?
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Ski01's topic in Input Devices
I am so sorry it took me so long to answer. That´s the one I bought, XL version https://zalem.es/inicio/622-9769-soporte-xl-de-mesa-hotas-con-mip-fa-18-hornet-edition.html#/234-color-gris/373-soporte_mfd_displays_laterales-no_incluir There is also available one which is shorter, missing the lower part where the pedestal rests at floor level. Slighty cheaper too. Zalem business is from my own country, Spain, so very convenient for low shipping fares. Customer support is quite good too. Easy to add 3 MFD supports, and the Winwing Hornet UFC and Viper ICP modules. I also attached a USB hub, and bass shaker. Very happy with the investment. Once I am done flying, I just loose the bracket, and place the pedestal by the right side of my table, to use my computer for regular desktop usage. -
I don´t own Kola, couldn´t compare with them. I fly both jets and helis, so Thanks for the info

What are the maps with that technology? South Atlantic and Afganistan?

Computer spec recommendation please.
Ala12Rv-Tundra replied to Lee1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
5800x3d it 5700x3d are still decent options, with am4 system(motherboard + ddr4 ram) being cheaper than 78003xd system -
But again, we could agree upgrading a texture sounds easier than upgrading map technology, right?
-
Maybe "feature" complete is a matter of wording. For example, no cities or airports are missing. Re-working a texture, on the other hand, doesn´t sound like a feature to me, more like something able to be improved on further iterations. Let´s see.

What part? if you overfly Kabul is quite different than doing it over Kandahar

I don´t think campaigns break anything, more like DCS core evolves and campaigns(which are payware, remember) must work perfectly.
