  1. When I was binding certain switches to functions in DCS, after clicking on the box I wanted to assign. When I pressed the switch to assign it, sometimes a modifier would pop in all by itself. This was namely LCtrl. So for example, when I tried to set the TMW Pinkie switch, instead of it just coming up with BTN17, it would say it was bound to LCtrl+BTN17. I hadn't pressed LCtrl at all. It was only doing it with 3 "Buttons", the ones that were BTN16, BTN17, and BTN18. So I tried the latest version of your .tmc, and it was still doing it. But BTN16/17/18 were on different switches!! So I used the latest Target GUI and configured all the switches myself, AND DCS WAS STILL ADDING LCtrl to buttons 16/17/18 even though again, I had assigned those numbers to completely different switch presses. So I used your files, altered the mapping file so it didn't have BTN16/17/18 in it and problem solved. I don't know what was going on with those numbers????
  2. I've actually just had another play with the scripting, it is only when buttons 16,17,18 are pressed that the modifier is added. I changed it so the same switches pressed 51,52,53, and no modifier added. But I will look into what you mentioned also. Thanks
  3. How many buttons does DCS recognise on a single device? I'm having some issues. I have a TM Warthog throttle, and I'm using the DX128 script that turns the switches from on-off to on-on. This was to avoid having to make bindings that were toggle switches, so to avoid having to actuate a switch twice to turn something on, and then off again. So it now has more than 32 buttons which is what you see in windows usb game controller properties. When I try to assign some keybinds, a modifier is automatically selected (LCtrl), and this has me confused. The keybinds that this gets added for then are troublesome. The AH-64D FCR Continuous and Single scan being one of the culprits. I can move the switch and nothing happens, but in my device viewer the switches are working flawlessly. Any ideas anyone?
  4. Again, thanks for your work with this. I was having a problem with DCS with a couple of switches, it seems to add LCtrl as a modifier for some of the switches and this is where it goes wrong. It seems DCS doesn't always "press" LCtrl when the switch is actioned, so the input doesn't go through. Looking in the event viewer, all the switches seem to work instantaneously, so I don't think it is Target or your script. Any ideas please? Edit: Well this is weird, thought I would do some testing and I found out that only buttons 16. 17. and 18 get the modifier added. If I remap those switches to some other number, no modifier is added. WTF
  5. Yes, that was @Hayds_93 doing, very clever. Some limitations, the CH-47 only accepts 10 characters for the ACP ident with the / being one of them. You can type more than 9 characters into TheWay, but only the first 9 will be transferred into the aircraft. When adding TheWay waypoints to a current flight plan, I set it up so the down arrow is pressed 30 times, I thought that would be enough to get to the end of most if not all flight plans in the system already. If you create a new flight plan, the first TheWay waypoint is entered into the Direct-to field (LSK L1), any further TheWay waypoints are added to the flight plan as normal.
  6. Just commenting to remind me to try this, thanks
  7. So myself and another contributor, @Hayds_93 managed to get the CH-47F implemented. It's pretty cool if I do say so myself While we're waiting for it to be accepted into the github repo, if you'd like to try it out you can get it here https://github.com/jonsky752/DCSTheWay
  8. It should be ok with IC as it's not part of the cockpit scripts. If you don't use a mod manager like OvGME, you can just extract the files manually Extact and dump the mods folder into your DCS main directory, Files will go their respective folders: dcs World/Mods/aircraft/CH-47F/Input/CH-47F Joystick and keyboard folders each get there respective default.lua file
  9. In the TrackIR software under "HotKeys", use the drop down menu to select "pause", and assign a key. Personally I use Scroll Lock, never seems to be bound by DCS by default
  10. Oh my, that is beautiful !
  11. Hi I've made the keybinds for the Chinook CDU and MFD, please feel free to add them to the project. I still don't know how to work github
  12. @Munkwolf I've never really figured out how to do anything with github other than downloading the releases, the terminology baffles me completely. Feel free to share though.
  13. To speed it up a bit, once you turned the engines off, start feeding in collective. The drag will significantly reduce rotor speed, not very realistic though.
  14. Damn, I've missed the MFD brightness controls, back in a jiffy
  15. May I point you in the direction of cheers

  16. Sorry about the title, just blowing my own trumpet Soooo, I've only gone and made all the keybinds for the two CDU's and ALL five MFD's...... enjoy For Joystick and keyboard. 375 Lines of code For those using Quaggles Input Injector Mod InputCommands.zip CH-47F Quaggles.zip DCS 2.9.10.3948 (04-DEC-24) up to 2.9.18.12722 (23-Jul-25) For those that just want to add them to the core game (OvGME Ready) CH-47F Keybinds V3.zip CH-47F Keybinds V4.zip DCS 2.9.9.2474 CH-47F Keybinds V4.1.zip DCS 2.9.10.3948 <<< APOLOGIES - DO NOT USE Ch47F Keybinds v4.2.zip DCS 2.9.10.3948 (04-DEC-24) CH-47F Keybinds v4.3.zip DCS 2.9.17.11733 (19-JUN-25) Cheers Jon (edit: updated for MFD brightness controls)
  17. Well this is a huge topic really. Resolution, the higher the better, if you're using a 1080p monitor, you are going to struggle to keep up with the cinematic pro's. Framerate, the higher the better. A trick is to fly what you want to film in lower quality settings. Then to do the actual recording, bump up the settings and slow the time down in game (LCTRL+Z), the problem is getting the camera movement speed right while recording in reduced speed, but you can certainly max out the quality settings this way. Depth of field can make a scene look good, that's where the main object is in focus and everything else is slightly blurred. As with real life photography/cinematography, film in the "Golden Hour" by changing the time in game. A head-tracker, the only way I know of to get smooth camera movements, everything with the mouse is jerky. Realise that all of the best DCS videos have a tremendous amount of post production in a pro level video editor, including colour correction and special effects, blurring, masking, transitions. It's a lot of work to get close to the best, nevermind matching them. The also have modified files to allow greater freedom of camera movement. Realise that some of ED's videos may not be filmed in game, but maybe "Blender" or similar (I say this because some of them just look so much better, parts of the Mosquito video for example, the spinner on the prop is perfect, but in game there is a texture join) That's my 2 cents anyway. Good luck. I've dabbled, I can tell you it is a monumental pain the ass to get the shots you want And about 3/4 of the time making these was wasted on things that didn't work out. These two are mine: Nowhere near the greats though, but I think there's a reason Adrian/Reise puts out like one video a year! I have no idea how he manages to get some of these shots. Must of took hours upon hours. My favourites from Adrian/Reise Match it with the right music and title and you could be onto a viral video with 4 million views like Krauadri did here While it's a great video, I don't think it was nearly as much work as Reise's above.
  18. I'm not much of a CTLD guru but the CH-47F's unit name is actually CH-47FBL1 or CH-47bl1 that might work
  19. If it's a single player mission, you can adjust the rope length in the mission editor in the "PAYLOAD" screen. Alternatively, here is a sound mod that changes the voice of the load master to a American accent, it's a modified version of a mod available in the user files. It goes in the save games/DCS directory. Sounds.zip
