Hey guys, I read and reread the instructions and followed them to a T as best as I could and I still get the following error upon launching the game: I am using a 1070GTX and a Reverb G2, I have never had an issue like this since I used this mod. new install of windows and updated windows as can be at this point in time.. It works fine when running SteamVR? I have no issues with any VR game I own and the headset is working fine. not sure what else to add as I have read and reread the instructions and did a clean install twice and removed the shaders folders.. not sure what else to try. I have went back and redownloaded the opencomposite.exe and ran it I saw it DL the Dll's like it is supposed to and I have made DCS to run in OpenComposite like the directions said too.

get this one jayztwocents talks about seems like a killer setup if you really want a laptop..

IDK maybe he is full of it or maybe you need to check some Vsync or autoexec file for the FPS line.. you could have a frame limiter.. But too be honest I tried DCS with a 1070K and the built in Intel iGPU and did not far as well either.. so maybe the vid is just a load a BS and 15 is as best as you can get..

well if you played WT you have some basic flight ability now just learn the weapons systems of desired plane.. Try the A10C training missions

maybe try uninstalling the wmr program. then when you go to install it get the updated mixed reality portal program to install the headset. or you could try a PCIe usb adapter not a hub.

well I run setting similar but visible range to low and I have a 1070GTX and get in a very busy 4YA Online server with 24people in it like 37-43fps with Open XR.. I have the resolution pretty low but I have only a 1070 I would imagine with a 3080rtx would fair a bit better.. But it is a YMMV Kind of thing some people can stand lower FPS while some need them to be high it is all relative I guess. but If I had a 3080RTX I would imaginge I could pull at those settings at least 60-70% on the rez.. Currently I run 30% on the rez..

Hmmm looks like you need an new PSU with the proper plugs.. EDIT: I did a google search or two some guy with a 7 year old PSU was able to get the correct cables but they where mainly saying it depends on the PSU but in this case I think you are SOL and need to get a new PSU.. I am not sure what else you could try perhaps someone lese knows something other then what I found out..

Can you post some PC Specs also are you using any mods in DCS? Also would OpenXR be an option for your headset??

well what are your specs vs the reccomended server specs? but from what I gather if you have alot of memory 64gb or more on the PC you are hosting the dedicated server and playing DCS on you should be fine especially if you have multiple cores.. I would imaging tho if you had a dedicated computer for the dedicated server that had the reccomended specs that would be the optimal solution. as long as your current PC has 64gb or more ram and 6 or more cores you should also do well..

Hey Guys, I just noticed something here. it seems some of the sounds are not working in the Apache? For instance when I do a cold start and fire up the APU I get nothing in the buttkicker, but in the test screen of SimShaker there is definetely a sound associated with the APU. So How can I tell if SimShaker is properly working in the Apache as I have no APU, Buttkicker sound when only the APU is on in a cold start.?

well not sure what I changed but I launched the dedicated server tonight and it only showed up once in the MP list?? wierd..

@KevyKevTPA well that is fine when nothing is around but once you get into multiplayer and a full map things will get bogged down.. you might want to try getting dialed in with a more active mission and fly where there is action..

Well I guess the more memory one has and cores would balance this out.. I am going to try it when I host next weeks flight night and see how it goes.. I am guessing this still works in MP as I am going to be host with the dedicated server then join by LAN and have others connect through internet, this will work good?

It has been a while since I used nVidia Surround but maybe it was you can right click the taskbar for options of what to do with it.. there are options such as you can make it 1 taskbar instead of individual one and such but I really can not recall how to access them..

Well I am not sure what is going on for you but I do not have to go through any of that to join a new channel or whatnot.. Somethig wierd going on there for sure..

OK I just wanted to make sure I was not running the server twice. EDIT: I looked and one is the 127.0.0.1 IP and the other is my my 192.168.x.x?? Is this server running twice as neither seems to be an internet side? I will try the dedicated server thing in tonights multiplayer match.

Hey All, I am trying the trick with a dedicated server but when I go into the Server list to join I see 2 of my servers listed but I only have 1 running? I am trying to figure out if this is normal or do I have 2 servers running somehow? and if I have 2 servers running I only want 1 to run as it is confusing seeing 2 servers.. I also would like to know If I am going to host a server in Multiplay could I use this trick to run the dedicated server and join the game on the same PC or do I need to have a seperate PC to run the server on? here are a couple of screenshots: dcs.log dcs.log

OK I had reinstalled windows and now when I run my procedure I had laid out in the last install it will not run the buttkicker. I get an error sound card in use or something.. What is the order I need to startup the Simshaker with Voicemeeter, mixed reality.. I had an order from before but when I do it know I ge4t that error and no sound in the test.. EDIT: This order seems to work now, I am still not sure why the order changes when I redo Windows? \\\\\Start these programs for DCS and VR in this order.. 1. Start Mixed Reality Portal 2. Check sound shortcut for proper speaker settings. 3. Start SimShaker then test sound in test.. 4. Turn on Voicemeeter.. 5. Run DCS ..
