Well Since I got the 1070 some months ago I had tweaked DCS and SteamVR to the absolute absolute. I am now trying OpenXR and it seems I can get a higher Overall Rez setting with OpenXR. I just thought the Cockpit display actually made the MPD/MFD's clearer when I do believe like another pointed out it controls the mirrors.. I am right now sitting on 30% seems the best balance, I did get as high as 50% but that was mostly single player missions with the FPS down to about 30-35FPS. With 40% I gained a bit but in Multiplayer missions it was still a bit off. I set it at 30% and been testing a bunch of missions it seems to be holding @45FPS Steady. Now @30% the MPD looks a little better but not near as good as 50% but I can just use the old trick of Zoom in on the MPD and just be happy I can even fly in VR.. Maybe one day I can look into getting a new GPU.. I am even able to get MSAAx2 in on the deal plus 30% Open XR has been a God send.. thank you to all who made it possible and us Guinea pigs who continue with it..

Yes, I am using that and is the reason I was able to run 50% rez. I guess what ignition22 said they are the resolution of the mirrors, I did hear about that long time ago but maybe that is why I don't see any difference.. I will just hope I can get a better card sometime down the road.. I had a 1080GTX but it died and I could only afford this 1070GTX.. I am not complaining just been a crazy 2 years for the GPU Market.. I don't see prices ever coming down either.

yes tell me something I do not know. but mushing onwards, I increased the rez of the g2 too 50% which helped but I still see no difference between 256 and 1024?? is the rez of the cockpit display working or not??

Hey Guys, I have a reverb G2 and a 1070GTX now my problem is and always has been reading the MFD's/MPD's in the different cockpits. now I adjusted the Resolution of Cockpit Displays to 1024 and it does not seem any different then the 256, now either it is bevcause it does not do anythnig really noticable or my OverAll G2 Resolution is just too low.. I had used the other F16 MFD Mod and tried to do something similar with the Apache but came up with nothing.. Now I was wondering is there any way to make the MFD's /MPD's more readable then they currently are or am I just SOL!!! Thank you for any feedback..

Well in DCS I managed in Single Player mode to get the Rez in OpenXR to 40% with low settings and MSAAx2 and roughly 45fps.. I can get Multiplayer to probally 30% with MSAAx2 as well getting 40FPS at the base and 45FPS further out.. I really like what OpenXR has done here with this fix, I just would like to get a better video card like a 2080Ti but those things are at the level price wise of insanity. I keep hearing how the Prices are gonna go down but in reality they never will.. maybe used cards will at some point but after what happened the new cards will never see low pricing like before.. Just glad OpenXR Gave me some new life in VR with my 1070GTX. Now we can only hope Vulkan brings more performance for aging gear.

I just seen the new for you in the WMR Launcher bar to the left.. so it is WMR Related but if you look in the taskmanager it show a leaf and it is supposedly not using any resources to run??

Hi Gruman, I do not have a warranty on this headset and to make it worse the seller put on a void if removed warranty sticker over the serial number I tried removing it but it left a void sticker in it's place and I can not make out the serial number.. When they come back in stock I will probally just buy a new cable but the main problem is with the Asmedia Chipsets and these PCIe cards.. It works for now so it is no big deal but I just thought I would try and get a PCIe Card with a USB-C Port as it is faster.. Not sure if it is any better using the USB-C Port vs the USB-A 3.0 port?? anyhow I found out that the Asmedia Driver does not work.

wellmaybe you are setting your resolution and settings to high for DCS. I have a 10700K @ 4.8ghz with a 1070GTX and running 30% Res with moslty low settings but msaa x2 and can get 38-46fps in caucusus.. you can not run this sim with max resolution. What resolution do you run in OpenXR Tool?

no it runs in win 10 as well. but I just loaded up VR and did not see those two listed like I di the other day??

Well the 360 degree videos is just that and it probally opens in Cliffhouse new for you could be new things for you reccomendations in cliffhouse.. I am unsure how to stop those from running but you can kill them in task manager.. I will see if there is a more permanent way to kill it..

well I see your system specs may need an upgrade.. if that is your current rig forget it.. Pixel Density went up some since you last looked I am sure it is better then your 1024 x 768 monitor..

Hey guys, I purchased a Startech PCIe USB Card model #PEXUSB311A1C I plugged it in and get a 7-14 error, I tried plugging it into the USB A and C Slot neither work.. I was wondering why this USB Card is not working at all. It did pass the test saying I had compatible ports but when I got too start WMRP I get the 7-14 error why? I am using the v1 cable with a G2 and a 1070GTX. I am currently using a different Startech USB-A PCIe card with the USB 3.0 adapter for the G2 and it is working fine.. What is causing the USB - C to not work in either the Card or my motherboard USB-C slot.. I am unable to get a warranty on this G2 so that is not an option unless I can buy it somewhere and not at twice the price.. Is there anything I can try as I don't understand why the C Plug on the card I bought is not working is it the v1 cable just that bad? any help with this would be great but I am suspecting I need to get the v2 of the cable for the USB-C plug to work in a PCIe Card.. EDIT: I installed the drivers for it and I had my N64 gamepad plugged into it and after the drivers installed the USB-A port seems to work as it recognised that but the USB-C Port does not recognise the G2 and I get a 7-14 error.. I know I should have bought a new cable but that is notgonna happen soon and the Card Thud Reccomeneded for this headset is 72bucks.. maybe after all I should have just gotten the 72dollar PCIe Card maybe it does have different drivers other then the Asmedia because I think they are incompatible with the G2 for some reason, I did thinkI reead that some where..

Does anybody else have the Sound of the WMR go real loud when it starts the 2nd time.. I tried mutting it in the Sound mixer but it keeps enabling itself to back on and is super loud in the G2 headset.. IS there a way to forever turn off the sound when WMR Opens and closes?? When it opens I get the blue pyramids all over the screen then it thunks back to desktop and the 2nd time it loads the sound is macced volume very wierd.. Also MR does not seem to be working I am on the latest version of this fix and use the tools program.

do the cold start training mission if it does not work there then what you are doing now is the issue..

umm not to knit pick but why are you using SteamVR?? I wanted to say that when I start OpenXR and launch DCS it starts in the headset and then goes to desktop twice but the thing is the 2nd time it relaunches the OpenXR triangles appearing and dissappearing the sound gets set REAL loud and I try turning it down but every time I launch DCS it resets the sound to loud, I had to mute that in the mixer it is really bad.. But other then that I am so happy this worked for me, I think others need to read the Entire OP again as I think most miss the important info..like stated in the OP..

Hello all, I installed Simshaker for Aviators v 2.3.10 beta and I get an error about the jetseat. I do not have the jetseat and I will try and copy the error message next time I see it but is there a way to get rid of the error message about the jetseat?

Hey Guys, I found out about this mod this afternoon and gave it a shot. I first did a deep clean like reccomended in Step one. I Downloaded the files I needed then installed them to the Bin Folder. Now at first It looked awesome but was getting about 28fps. I then was reading more and noticed I have to adjust the Resolution in Open XR and I had it at 100% which for my GPU is a no go.. EDIT: Well I had reran the game and was getting 55fps, so I then added some resolution in OpenXR to 30% and raised up the graphics setting a bit and now get a steady 45-50fps in Open XR and never looked better.. Thank you to all who made Open XR Happen.. I am using a lowly 1070GTX and 30% rez with mostly low settings.. It really worked out for me..

Well I have a USB-C Port that I will try using and see what happens.. I did have a rosewill USB-C PCIe card but that did not seem to work? I will look at it later right now I have it plugged into the motherboard usb-c port to test it out as you are right the usb-c is a bit faster.. I thought the USB 3.0 was as fast guess I was wrong.. Thnx for the heads up..
