Hey Everybody, As per the title I am looking for find out how a 2080Ti fairs with DCS 2.8 and a Reverb G2 say @50% resolution in a complex mission with med to low settings.. I have a chance to get a good 2080Ti at a decent price and would like to know if the FPS would be there.. I am currently using a 1070GTX and yes I get the barre minimum in FPS like 30-45 most times.. so please enlightne me as I found no new FPS thread with this combo and 2,.8. I need to use 2.8 as the base as it is what I use and the old FPS I got where higher in 2.7 so those vids do me no good.. thank you

well if you have a laptop or a secondary PC you can set up a local Teamspeak3 server and client and use that. the only other way would be with a 2 way radio or CB.

Well not sure why you say they are overlypriced there is another called "Earthquake" which is equally as spendy. I have seen people take a big subwoofer driver and make a buttkicker of sorts with those parts.. Perhaps this would interest you it is called a B.O.S.S. and from what I read there it is very cool and works well. I have all the parts required besides the sheet of wood and was gonna build it a couple years ago but then Covid hit and I never got to build it. right now I am in the process of moving to a new house so maybe over there I will get to build it and see for myself.. but the reviews are very positive. https://www.avsforum.com/threads/the-hideaway-theater.2991522/ I would say that would be a thing to try with a Gaming rig.

well it is not needed but highly recommended, you can use the free version as there are 2 basically one was from F40 which is free and the other from Andre which is payware.. you do not need either but they add a bit more to the mix. Here is the free version of it for DCS: here is andres version it is a thread here on the forums as both are: The effects you get with no extra software are the low frequency's of the game5-100hz. the other software uses Telemetry from the game and adds a desired effect from the telemtry like when you lower gear, it uses the telemety from DCS and then makes a low frequency sound which is a bit stronger per say.. I think the software adds a bit more to the overall game with the Buttkicker, I especially like the sound in the Viggen engine and the Apache 64 rotor sounds..

Well they must have something wrong in their setup, as Buttkicker will work with most any game as long as it has a 5-80hz frequency in the chain. SimShaker adds effect from the telemtry from DCS so it is more accurate then just using low frequency signal ingame. but the Buttkicker will work with DCS without any special software but I would highly reccomend the payware software.. Buttkicker uses the low frequency signal to create its effect in games.. I also like the buttkicker effect when listening to mp3's on my pc..

I have used one for some years now and along with simshaker in DCS it is a really cool effect especially in a helicopter with the rotor blades. All I can say is I like it and works well for me. As to the guy whose Buttkicer is overheating you probally have the drive to high. But if you turn it down and you don't get the desired effect a fan will help. on myold setup I had two Buttkickers bolted to the seat with chicken fencing over with fans attatched incase it did get too hot worked like a charm. It was a USB Fan with 3 speeds.... the fan shroud was low tech but worked fine.. and with the low , med , high setting the buttkicker never got hot again even after a very lengthy session..

OK which is the setting as I have a similar issue in my G2 with this night sky??

well maybe the monitor is revelaing the crap grpahics in DCS and it is not the monitor itself.. I have noticed that gradient in the sky at this time of night in my VR Headset.. does any other game look as bad?? I dont think it is the monitor.

OK I did have OpenXR Toolkit instaalled so that might have been an issue. I just ended up Nwipe the drives and reinstalled Win10 and all is working know again.. thank you.. maybe it was just a corrupt win install..

well I did not see any red errors so I guess this is a bit more elusive.. any other suggestions? I am about to nuke the system from orbit and start over..
