  1. Confirmed. Even when DL is lost due to azimuth, the missile still reacts to WP changes in flight.
  2. Is J-11 too much? H-6 could be interesting, too (we currently don't have any heavy bombers).
  3. Your thread title should read: "AIM-54 has same range as SD-10". You posted in the wrong forum. * SMH * AIM-120C is nearly there from videos I've seen. Looking good. As already stated, AIM-54 has a major glitch at pitbull, which has existed pretty much since release. SD-10 would even do that in some situations. Nice graph! Looks like the SD-10 has about nailed it.
  4. Jeff has low max positive g limit at 700 kts which doesn't help. Idle, pull the brakes, and pull for everything she's got.
  5. You're right. Edited. I saw a video the other day of an AIM-120C launch in DCS, fired at 60 NM from high altitude. It hit the other (non-maneuvering) aircraft 60 NM later at Mach 3.0. They said it was "cool". Imagine if that had been the SD-10 on release day...
  6. Never noticed. Can the launch RADAR see through hills?
  7. Bug. Shouldn't happen. Missile is programmed at launch and flies autonomously. There is no data link for route guidance. I think I don't see this because I either fire one at a time, or two at the same target area. I'll try this later!
  8. I like it! Makes imminent doom seem less threatening.
  9. Day 1 of learning AAR...
  10. When are we likely to see the next patch? Waiting for WMD7 video update.
  11. * Checks notes * You either need to update WP30 with new coordinates prior to firing the second missile, or use DIR mode. If you want both missiles to fly different pre-planned routes, you must re-program the coordinates between firing missiles, so have your coordinates ready.
  12. SEAD? Depends what the air threat is, too, and how far I need to go, but a couple of options: * 2x PL-5EII * 2x SD-10 * 2x LD-10 * 2x wing tanks * 1x SPJ If air threats are not great: * 2x PL-5EII * 2x LD-10 or 4x LD-10 (being mindful the dual-pylons hit aircraft performance quite hard/increase fuel burn). * 2x wing tanks * 1x SPJ If I'm out to really cause trouble: * 2x PL-5EII * 2x LD-10 * 1x WMD7 on outer pylon * 2x BRM * 1x center-line fuel If I'm hitting EWR then I'll bring along MITM AKG's.
  13. I knew I saw that somewhere!!! My girlfriend had to search it for me (she speaks Mandarin) and I'm unable to search it again. It was possible to carry 4xBRM in DCS, but they removed it. I don't know why.
  14. Buy it! Best module out there! Not only is it the best DCS module, it is also one of the most versatile aircraft that we'll see for a while.
  15. Yes. Why not? All you've done is convince me they did a great job with the engine. RD-93 is not an RD-33, and they made great improvements. Fuel efficiency was one of the aims of the improvements as increased fuel efficiency = more thrust (and this is what they achieved). Don't forget also that the RD-93 has different design stators which I think are controllable in the -93 and fixed in the -33. This alone makes a huge difference.
  16. I haven't heard it, either.
  17. This is DCS - blow up everything! I often shoot up my own base, then land and re-arm. Saves the transit time to a target. :megalol: Would be good to have some practice smoke bombs though. I don't think there are any munitions like that for the JF-17.
  18. JF-17 can piggy-back on the back of E-3A or A-50 if they're in the mission for DL, but they can't share directly with the other non-JF-17 aircraft without.
  19. Eurofighter is largely a project about keeping the European aerospace industry in business. The different Tranches are a joke - to "upgrade" they must scrap the airframes and buy new ones as the upgraded/new avionics do not fit the old models. This is why Tranche 1 is AA only, with basic AG capability. Tranche 2 added ability to carry a TGP and for it to lase its own targets. Tranche 3 adds AESA RADAR, and the stuff it should have had as Tranche 1. From first operational flight to when it becomes as capable as Tornado/Harrier it will be nearly 30 years old. It's a joke.
  20. In what sense? Are you maintaining RADAR lock?
  21. * Makes chicken noises on Guard * I switch off DL if I need the second radio. It's an easy change on the UFCP.
  22. That's not just me then! :D Even the way she says "Danger! Danger!" is not conducive to pulling the handle.
  23. I had better luck coming in at a steep angle. The missiles seem not to be flying fast enough, which is why they seem to be struggling. Anyone checked the speed in F6?
