yep, that does not work to me, at least the exported model is always backface-culled
please try it to me: make a plane by 2 tris, add a texture and export
(if it 2 sided then the plane will be exported as 4 tris)
i saw/read that earlier. that's mainly about viewing in max but unfortunately the outcome/export is always a backface-culled object
and double-sided object is not the same. that double tris numbers too and i dont want it
do you know guys how can i turn off the back-face-culling in max ? in object properties / general / and user definied text does not work to me ---> exported edm model always back-face-culled :( )
(i know the current 1.5/2.0 dcsw does not handle the ▲BFC but earlier 1.2.16 does)

few suggestion: you should use/define the a50-oblomok.edm for the crashed-model - at least for the first lod model - in the a-50-oblomok.lods
and maybe you should rename all the a50 files to kj2000 - just for preventing future interfusion and ravel :smilewink:

that's a suitable solution but in this case you need to add a new ai aircraft (KJ-2000) into the sim (beside the A-50) which will use your modified edm model, otherwise if you use the same modified model for the A-50 too then the rotodome wont rotate - except if you define a new arg playing lua script for the new rotodome arg anim-rotation ;)
here are some chaff clouds guys (do not confuse with the flare trails)
the BEST visible chaffs are on the MH60071 pic and on the longbow-apache pic (flares @ left and right but in the middle, below the chopper those are all chaff clouds)
as i see the problem is the flare only lit the aircraft and the ground only when the altitude is close to sea level
structures/buildings/trees also not lighted by flare if those are on hillside or on mountains
flare light should work/lit as chute-flare of illumination bombs/rockets
this is the same on the NTTR map: there are only one lowland: the Death Valley
there are visible flare lights on the ground but not visible on any other highlands
moreover Ka-50 stuck in the air when fly lower than -15 meters in Death Valley (where the ground level is -80 meters)
other issue of lights: there are no position lights on the ground (red/green spots) but the aircraft wingtips/tailtips are illuminated
just saying torpedos and submarines are available and work been a while (worked in the past using some tricks as well)
and
a there are lot more "easter eggs" in the hat but unfortunately the rabbit does not want to jump out yet with those (see my sigpic) :P

yep, eliptical wings gave better turn rate
but clipped wings gave better roll rate (catching up roll rate of focke-wulf)
i would like to see spits with both wing shapes :thumbsup:
okay, but ifaik they always release more bugfixes than what they show in the (pre)change log
- and that log/list usually increases, so maybe there will be more (not mentioned yet) fixes in the patch
