  1. Probably like riding a bike for them. I remember when Heatblur released that video. They mentioned watching that guy nail the recovery again and again. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. It's not that the F-14 is more agile, it would be better to say that the F-14 isn't incapable. Hold it in it's optimum speed and AOA envelope, and the Tomcat will do everything you want it to do. That includes out turning people.
  3. The Truth Is Out There.
  4. "F-14B with Sparrowhawk and PTID is unlikely. We'd rather spend that time on building an F-14D." https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=205983&page=8

    Mirrors

You would be blown to scrap long before an enemy would show up in your mirrors.
  6. This is very impressive. I'll probably buy one if he ever gets an online store off the ground. In the meantime, I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread.
  7. True, but aside from the video mentioned by Strikeeagle345, we never got to see any of it. :)
  8. Dear Heatblur, We've heard all about the help you received from F-14 pilots and RIOs, and I was wondering... Would it be plausible, if they're willing of course, to drop a real flight crew in the Tomcat? As excited as I am to finally get my hands on it (and I am), I would also very much like to see footage of how the pros do it. Just a thought.
  9. "One word. All caps. Don't ask." :) Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Depends on what, exactly, you're looking for. I use these: http://www.saitek.com/uk/blog/index.php/pro-flight-com They're heavy, but have held up very well after years of use. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. You always have something interesting and full of information to say. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. Speaking of "facts", you're going to have to actually provide some if you intend to be taken for anything other than just another troll. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=140030&page=10 OT, but this one has already been settled.
  14. I honestly don't care if it isn't perfect. This is far and away the most thorough F-14 mimicry that anyone has ever done....ever. If it LOOKS like a Tomcat, SOUNDS like a Tomcat, and most importantly, HANDLES like a Tomcat, then it's good enough for me and probably the bulk of this community. All you need to do is get it as close as you can get it. I don't think anyone can reasonably expect more than that.
  15. Indeed. I can't wait to screw it up.
  16. I was in utero, now I'll be 39 tomorrow. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. Way ahead of you! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. If there's one thing I've learned about people during my time here on planet Earth, it's that there will always be someone who will complain about anything whether it's rational or not. If it isn't this, it will be something else. I agree with Shadow on this one. If JESTER is meant to mimic a real F-14 backseater, then he should perform as close to an actual RIO as Heatblur can program him.
  19. Will you still be able to clean them off once they're empty? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. I figured that it was something along those lines. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. Wishing everyone clear skies and tail winds this holiday season. The Tomcat is coming
  22. The AIM-54 wasn't a wing tank, and it wasn't the finger of God. It's like just about everything else Use it correctly, and you should enjoy at least a moderate amount of success. Dismiss it, or overestimate it's potential, and you have a rude surprise coming. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. True, people tend to believe that it's either the zenith of missile technology...or that it's useless against anything that isn't a Tu-95. Also, if you're going to wait and shoot a Phoenix inside of 10 miles then you wasted not only your time but all the extra gas to lug it there when you should have just been slinging Sparrows all along. As I said, I can hardly wait for the insane rants of "Tomcat and Phoenix are OP" for the people that made the error of underestimating it as well as "Heatblur raped my childhood" for the people that can't understand why they aren't steamrolling everything out to 100 miles off their nose. 24. I can hardly wait. The hair-pulling and screaming this is going to generate will be indescribable. Large and heavy doesn't necessarily equal useless.
