Got it to a shade past 1.7 at 36,000 with an A/A payload. 4 x AIM-7s 2 x AIM-9s Obviously it could have done a lot more, but a glance at my remaining fuel told me it was time to go home. Those F110s are thirsty!

This. They don't call them "study sims" for nothing. I've had it since Wednesday, and I'm only now remembering how to do a cold start. Don't rush it. It will come.

It's not nearly as difficult as I thought it was going to be. I got used to balancing the stick and rudder through turns fairly easily. The only problem I'm having is wrestling with the throttle. The engines are so powerful that I find myself accelerating without meaning to.

It's the first day. Give them a chance to identify and work out all of the kinks before complaining that it's unplayable.

Check the latest Fighter Pilot Podcast ( ) I think they said that "max conserve" was something like 220 knots with the flaps down. EDIT: It's at the 13:30 mark.

My first carrier "landing" was into the wake behind the ship.

Having an absolute blast with it so far. Out of curiosity, I decided to depart the airplane (by doing exactly what Victory205 told us NOT to do... :D). After the spin had developed and I realized I couldn't save it, I ejected...only to watch the plane go through about 3 more revolutions and then right itself. It flew on for maybe another minute before the trim got the better of it and it hit a mountainside. Actually laughed out loud when I saw it.

This thing is fast. Really fast.

It's the present I've waited 26 years to open.

I'm sure I'll be referencing both quite a bit.
