  1. producers of movies seen at the cinema or online do not film the movie all at once. they are separated into short scenes and then compiled into one movie. in DCS case, you must create short tracks, film the bits, and compile into the movie. there is not special code, smoke or mirrors. it is patience and perseverance.
  2. also see what happens when you open windows explorer and type %userprofile% in the URL box null
  3. lol. “A pessimist is a man who thinks everybody is as nasty as himself, and hates them for it.” ― George Bernard Shaw
  4. thanks. this was it. the map default max zoom does not show england.
  5. i am currently running an "all checkbox repair". i will let y'all know. thanks
  6. thanks for reply. latest standalone OB 2.8.4.39259 just got today.
  7. i have normandy 1 and channel. purchased the normandy 2. it shows installed in module manager. but when i try to create a mission for me to sightsee, only the 1944 map loads. am i missing something dumb? thanks.
  8. weird. i tried that yesterday and got nothing. lol. sorry. i do have mirror checked though i notice no stutters unless very few.
  9. the DCS.log you provided has today's date so it is likely correct. but it just ends prematurely. you may try to make your pagefile a bit larger. maybe a memory issue though i do not see anything in the log. also you mention campaigns. does the error occur when playing instant action missions?
  10. hello. you can download nvidia inspector. this may help with your quest. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/nvidia-inspector-download.html
  11. hello. can you be more specific what you see as changed?
  12. hello FXAA is a driver side setting. mine is set to off in global settings and DCS program settings. i do use MSAA 2x in DCS. SSAA and SSAO off, and SSLR on. i am quoting a post about this from another forum. not DCS specific. https://www.overclock.net/threads/is-it-me-or-does-the-fxaa-in-nvidia-control-panel-not-do-anything.1282766/ with this said, i take screen shots with GeForce Experience. normal windows print screen does not screen capture the FXAA.
  13. post the most recent DCS.LOG. maybe something in there will let on what the problem is. the logbook.lua file gets appended each time you play the game. i believe since it is plain text file, you can make a backup and then edit afterwards.
  14. can you replicate the issue and then save a track?
  15. @Temetre i agree with NineLine. i seriously doubt anyone intentionally broke the game. that would be dumb and the devs are definitely not dumb. it was most likely a mistake and they are trying to fix it.
  16. have you renamed the DCS folder in saved games? rename it to .BAK to save. then run dcs to recreate the folder. then move over your controls.
  17. also have a look at this doc i did for new computer. https://pcwiseman.com/downloads_files/DCS_New_Computer.pdf
  18. the log indicates a shader mod. you should disable mods and run a repair. i do not think the A-4 is causing the issues. perhaps though.
  19. i would like to propose a different angle to this conversation. i believe somewhere along the development phase of DCS, quite likely in the beginning, someone made a decision with little forethought to make these settings part of the missions and not overridable. i agree that making these settings on the user end should be allowed regardless of what the mission creator wants. labels for example. what if a user has some sort of vision disability wants labels so the various objects can be seen? but in DCS case, the missions can be locked so not able to be edited. the creator makes it no labels. thus no labels. think of it if windows did not allow options like, desktop background, icon sizing, themes, etc.
