Using the cannon with the central external fuel tank?
AeriaGloria replied to lj0076's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Then it’s probably unfinished. But eventually you won’t be able to use gun with the tank -

Radar losing lock way too easy in all modes.
AeriaGloria replied to LaCiKa's topic in Bugs and Problems
Were you at low altitude? MPRF suffers below 3k meters In addition coop is perfect for MPRF because IRST will likely have lock when it drops. Probably why when fully implemented coop mode will lock radar to MPRF -
-45 degrees and +70. There are some sources saying -37 and +56, but I believe this is only for search mode I appreciate you giving a track! 1. What do you mean HUDs work differently? 2. Because it’s incorrect and unfinished Nineline, Gman has given a track. References are combat employment manual which explains the degree size of the HUD scale and purpose of the rhombus/diamond, and this other 9.12/9.13 manual that explains the rhombus/diamond must be kept inside the square of the HUD to maintain lock, something it cannot do right now After launching a missile with a radar homing head to provide illumination of the target, do not allow the “diamond” (“dot”) to go beyond the conditions of the deviation limit of the “diamond” (“dot”) of the HUD screen until the target is hit or issued "Lapel" commands. When maneuvering a target (determined by the behavior of the target’s velocity vector on the HUD screen. It is not sufficient for this as is. Also as mentioned, combat employment manual specifies that when at top or bottom of HUD screen the radar diamond is showing +/-45 degrees angle to the target. It does not do this currently
 -
So when you lock there is diamond showing deflection of radar antenna, the HUD scale for this element is +/-70 degrees horizontal tally and +/-45 degrees vertically. It works great horizontally, but vertically only reacts to the angle between your plane and the target in vertical space (not actual gimbal limit, your own nose angle has no effect). I am sure ED is aware of this?
 -
No, just better regain lock before missile passes the target! The N-019 will only illuminate for the missile 60 seconds anyways
 -
Tonight’s testing revealed a few things the radar diamond doesn’t not work for vertical gimbal limit AND We can break lock mid R-27R/ER flight then regain it!!!!!

I will countdown the days until western RWR is overhauled and AIM-7 to same standard
 -
Just remember that only works in CCIP when pipper is moving up the HUD

Yes, it’s in the manual by ED. You can try it yourself -

Idk where you saw that. You don’t need to touch anything APU related on startup becuase the APU starts automatically and you have enough battery. -

No LA, Rmax, Rmin or R no escape in STT
AeriaGloria replied to IxIFelIxI's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well it looks like you get launch zones just fine with radar. If you flipped coop switch forward the IRST will pick up a lost radar pocket if it can. Laser has short 3-6.5 km range in IRST mode. After 8 seconds you should get radar ranging but not sure that’s implemented yet. With IRST lock you can always go to coop mode ( coop switch forward and radar to DUMMY) then you will get instant radar ranging and launch zones to launch R-27R/ER when you want Radar can also switch to IRST if you select IRST mode with Radar lock when IRST is in range and coop moved forward -
Okay one last question about SPO other then if 16-30 kHz MPRF really can’t he blanked The Su-27SK manual says with radar on you get front hemisphere warning and X category with strength of 5-8 signal strength. The one MiG-29 manual mentioning radar interfering SPO says it causes “chaotic” readings. Why is ours shut off then? I would think with 5-8 signal strength of X category, there is still possibility that a higher strength radar could become priority.

Sorry but your AP switch was in AP right? -
The 90 degree light is NOT a bug! I attached a picture of SPO-15 antenna reception pattern here. Notice there is no single 90 degree antenna, but only one from 50-95 degrees and a small overlap with rear hemisphere antenna. So SPO-15 can only tell if someone is at 90 degrees if there is enough signal strength to both set off the 50-95 degree antenna and the rear antenna (which is not only weaker then the front antennas, but when hitting the antenna at its side is even weaker). So the result is, the 90 degree light will ONLY show up at very close range. And it will turn on together with the 50 light. Try your test again at increasingly shorter range, you’ll find the 90 degree light turning on at some point along with 50 degree light. F-16 also only has a medium power MPRF mode, airplanes with HPRF will be able to set off this 90 light at longer ranges. Let me know if you redo test, I am very interested to see at what range the 90 degree light turns on There is a light on the warning light panel to tell you if radar is transmitting also

	MPRF is only 16-30 kHz!
 -
Haha yeah I’m sure. Can’t wait for coop to be fully implemented!

I can see reason to turn it on. What if testing? What if you need a power source while you wait? -

There are other manuals including practical aerodynamics that say “from 18 to 24 degrees AOA the aileron deflection is steadily decreased to +/-5 degrees.” You can see it in DCS also It makes me think rudder is mixed with lateral stick from 0-8 degrees from 18-24 degrees AOA

I loved it but SPO not working with radar really dampened my enthusiasm. I want to enjoy the great SPO-15 they made. Coop mode has brought some of my enthusiasm back.

Where? I see two engine relight switches and an emergency APU off switch
