  1. Do we know what weapon systems & their quantities will be available on which pylons? Thanks
  2. Anything "Tomcat" would be nice but we got the Viggen this week. Fingers crossed there's a juicy feature-full list here next week!
  3. Are you still active? I PM'ed @zionid about a week ago. Thx
  4. Please, elaborate..
  5. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the F-14 or DCS in general but the last couple of days I've been flying I noticed a sort of a "view deformation" in the middle of the glass cockpit, just above the Tomcat's metal cockpit frame. It runs along above the pilot's head, nearly all the way to the metal strip connected to the frame support in between the pilot and RIO seats. Its not an object (artifact) but rather an image distortion, like a light refraction. Its only visible for a few seconds and usually when flying towards the ground. Pitching up into the sky makes it disappear.. I know it sounds like trolling but its not - I'll try to grab a screenshot tonight.
  6. I turn with my torso when looking behind. I suggest re-watching Top Gun ;P
  7. This is equally interesting as it is concerning.. Any chance for an official statement from HB?
  8. I wonder if the "A" will actually be more agile in capable hands from the "B". AFAIK, it will have a higher max speed, correct?
  9. She's not "shaking"! She's talking to you! You need to learn how to listen! She will allow you for a lot! A lot more than other ones out there but you need to know how to please her.. Otherwise your relationship is going down... :megalol:
  10. I would say T.16000 is more than enough as your entry level joystick. Su-25T is a great plane but IMHO its better to admire the beauty/complexity of DCS World from the Hornet's cockpit. Its easier to handle, it has better visibility and is a more modern design. Since you are new you need to learn the basics to a degree that flight itself won't be taking up most of your concentration and you can focus on the other activities. In my opinion F/A-18C is a perfect platform for that, being both new pilot friendly and very capable in the long run: easy to learn, hard(er) to master.
  11. Do the belly pylons weigh anything at the moment? Last time I checked there was no difference in total weight with or without them attached. Will they "receive" weight in the future?
  12. All the above plus vertical stab animations fixed, wheel differential animations and tire morphing.. :P
  13. Got it to work as intended! :) Here is what I did: In VPC Configuration Tool I selected "Axis" on the left and then "Calibrate Axis". Then I double clicked on the axis from the list I had problems with - in my case this was "Slider". In the portion of the screen called "Calibration" I noticed Min and Max values. Not sure if they were automatically determined or they were actually the minimum and maximum values I managed to achieve by moving the controller earlier. Either way, in the "Axis source" part of that page I noticed an entry called "Sensor Raw Value". This was the input value of the sensor at that moment. Since my controls were centred this was the sweet spot I was after. All I needed to do was change the "Center" value from "Calibration" to the one from "Axis source". Last thing was calibrating the whole stick and all it's axis in Windows. After that was done the centre of the Slider axis on the VFX was where I wanted it to be in the first place. Hope my findings help you :)
  14. Does anyone know how Virpil Calibration works inside their software? I'm using the F-14 Stick and have mapped the DLC to the slider on the grip as axis. Unfortunately, the physical centre is not where the digital one is, as seen in the attached screenshot. For the manoeuvre flaps not to deploy or DLC not to act I had to create a 15% deadzone.. I'd like to have a 3% deadzone instead :) Please assist. Thanks
  15. Merry Christmas to the whole DCS World crew: Devs, their Families and You, my fellow pilots!
  16. Merry Christmas Heatblur! All the best to you and your Families. I hope you have great holidays that you will spend with your loved ones. Charge up your batteries for 2020! ;) Happy feasting!
  17. Silly question but have you updated to the latest version? This issue has been addressed and afaik fixed in one of the last patches..
  18. I could be wrong but you may be watching Jabber's older videos with the "double D" AIM-9 seeker running around the HUD. This was incorrect and different from the real thing so it got removed. The seeker is still performing the search but its no longer visible on the HUD. IMHO, the only way to know if you are in BORESIGHT or NORM is by looking at the button on the ACM panel. Also, check this topic: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=257947
  19. Thanks for the explanation. So, the elevators are down when plane is cold only because the pilot pushed the stick forward to get out? Wouldn't the weight of the elevators and the fact that their axles are further to the front from their center of mass make them fall down anyway?
  20. +1
  21. I'm with you! Full of hope of receiving "something" for the Turkey this year. Initially, HB stated they will try to update the F-14 roughly every to weeks. Problem is, their 2 weeks not always correlate with the ED's open beta patches and so the whole Tomcat Updating went out of sync. No idea if anything from the "Road Map" is planned for release in the upcoming 18/12 (20/12) patch.. :/

    Theo"D"ore ;)

CVN-71 is one of the 3 carriers in the pack?! F-14D confirmed!!! :megalol:
  23. That did the trick - thank you! :)
  24. OK, I'll try to express my concern as simply as I can: HB Tomcat during the in-game cat launches requires no elevator movement to achieve the same pitch at rotation as the real-life F-14 with elevators fully up - why?
