  1. Found my answers - thank you
  2. See? This is the thread where we could read from HB today that "yeah, a thing or two are coming in the patch this week" :P
  3. And yet, we are getting all those glorious videos produced.. No idea how those guy are recording the footage...
  4. I see what you did there :megalol:
  5. No matter how many times I will see similar threads I will always +1! :)
  6. Hi, I'm sure that I'm not alone eagerly anticipating the DCS World Patch Notes every Wednesday and/or Friday. As you know, we are usually notified if a general update is planned at least a few hours before it lands in a dedicated sticky thread on the forums. I was wondering if it was possible to have a similar thread on any updates planned to release for the DCS: Tomcat on a weekly basis. Nothing major - a simple, non-binding "An update is planned" or "No update this week" would do! There have been quite few DCS World Open Beta patches lately (pretty much one every week) but they not always contained updates to the F-14B (and its fine - no pressure Heatblur!). I respect your work greatly and would never want you to rush but unfortunately I pretty much live from Wednesday to Wednesday and would appreciate knowing if anything Tomcat-related was headed my way that particular week... or not. The awesome Tomcat road map presented to us a few weeks ago has teased me so much that I started thinking that perhaps "soon" no longer meant "two weeks" ;) Knowing that we will find "F-14B by Heatblur" in bold in the DCS Patch Notes this and any other future Wednesday would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. I have ordered mine along with the curved 20cm extension and the t50 base. Should be with me by Christmas... PS. With T50 base one can use the newly released TM Hornet stick as well as the original TM Warthog which is identical to the one in the Falcon! You get a great quality 4-aircraft-capable base in one!
  8. I don't know if I was dreaming that but I could swear I read somewhere here that the "T" lead cue on the HUD was being worked on.. I can't find that post though..
  9. Very informative! Thank you
  10. Hi, I was testing AIM-7M's after the patch and noticed the following happen: 1. Acquired SST lock. 2. Launched the missile. 3. RIO reported loosing lock 4. Diamond dosappeared but the target was still being marked by a cross with a dot. 5. Missile hit. Why did the missile destroy its target? I thought Fox 1 missiles required constant lock until impact. I understand the lock was lost but the radar kept "seeing" the target in some sort of TWS? How come this was enough to guide the missile? Didn't that Sparrow behave like an AMRAAM? Thanks!
  11. So does "Updated to latest AIM-7M" in today's patch notes mean HB AIM-7 is now identical to ED AIM-7s?
  12. Its worth much more than it costs! BUY IT NOW! XD
  13. Oh, you teased so much but not given us anything this week    For some reason I hoped for a few lines in the change log today... :music_whistling:
  14. Thanks! BTW, where are you getting this info from? For me, every Wednesday means stressful searching through "Official Updates" forum section and social media... :/
  15. OB Update 9/10? Are we expecting an open beta patch today?
  16. Hi, I'm torn between Virpil and VKB. Both companies make amazing gear and both are as expensive as they are hard to get.. I mainly fly the Tomcat and again - both manufacturers plan on releasing F-14 grips... Initially Virpil was in the lead due to compatibility with HOTAS Warthog grip (A-10 & now the F-16) but lately I heard some very positive opinions on the VKB and lost all my confidence! The plan was to get a Virpil VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base, VPC Flightstick Extension - 200mm and VPC V.F.X Grip (F-14). Later, I was planning to buy the new Thrustmaster F/A-18 grip and own dedicated sticks for all modern aircraft that I fly. Then I read about VKB actually working together with Heatblur to produce their own Tomcat grip. Others also mentioned dry clutches in the VKB base but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to do any research on their pros and/or cons. Negatives were: inability to use the Warthog stick and the fact that as far as I know VKB don't sell their bases on their own. And so I was back to square one. Virpil or VKB... Could you please comment on this and help me make my mind up? Thanks
  17. Awesome plan! Can't wait! I know the below are low priority but are we close to getting: - tire morphing - differential wheel spinning - rudder misalignment fix - missing ALQ-126 Mid- & High-Band Antennas (wing-glove) - LAU-7 vs LAU-138 pylons I also couldn't find any info on Pilot-to-RIO commands on prioritising TWS attack order sequence, e.g. skip closest enemy and launch on the furthest contact first. Thank you for all your hard work and constant support!
  18. Same here.. I made sure NO joystick, throttle or rudder controls were affecting this CTD but even being on the ground, adding power with "Num +" and enabling Auto Throttle with "Left CTRL + T" crashes the sim...
  19. Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading my tools a little bit :P I would like to change my TMWH stick base to Virpil VPC MongoosT-50CM2. I'm currently using Obutto R3volution pit with the TMWH base holder but since the Virpil one is rectangular vs round on the Thrustmaster I will most likely need to mod it. If this wasn't enough, I'd also like to get the stick extension :P so the whole metal holder would have to be lowered. Has anyone here gone through a similar rebuild or has any tips on how to tackle this? Thanks!
  20. +1 but isn't this operated by the ground crew?
  21. Is it possible to set the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle designator to work in Jester menu?
  22. How do I make Jester cycle the TWS targets so that I attack the one I want?
  23. Awesome! Greatly appreciated. Fair approach!
  24. Thank you for your comment. It means a lot.
  25. Yes, unification is fundamental and all missiles of the same type should have the same potential on all aircraft. Letting the main developer to control that is good. I just hope that all changes are done with mutual respect and understanding.
