  1. This unfortunately seems to be the physical travel is after you pitch up the throttle to get it back into cutoff and its hard to go to idle and not kill the engine. nullThis might help? When pulled back to the idle position you notice it still has throttle put in.
  2. Yup, just as instructed above as far as I can tell.
  3. I'm not sure why it is hard to understand, but I'll explain again maybe differently. The physical detent does not align with the in-plane throttle. While in idle, the engine is producing thrust, running up to about 75%. In SimAppPro while in idle there is a blue indication that the throttle is advanced a bit. I'm trying to get that to line up with the physical idle slot for the throttle. I have not seen anywhere to adjust that and physically adjusting it would require the part to move fore and aft and would then mess with the cut off and the AB detent.
  4. It's the 16 throttle. Yeah I do, But that sets the idle so low I have to pull the throttle back into the detent.
  5. How do I set it in DCS?
  6. Phantom, good instructions but it still isn't working quite right. Either idle is high or the afterburner detent kicks in out of whack. Dragon... I really don't see how to adjust it horizontally. Is it possible that one end of the rail needs to be higher than the other to adjust it? It does not look like it would adjust that much honestly but maybe...?
  7. Wow gotta look at these mounting options. As far as adjusting... I dont know how to adjust it forward and back for the idle, doesn't seem to move that way and if it does it will screw up the AB detent.
  8. Sorry, Orion with the F16 group.
  9. Whew... Where to start. I'm struggling a little bit as I use it on my desktop and while it's awesome I thought it would be heavier and so I have to find a way to hold it in place without permanently mounting it. Any great ideas would be welcome. Also I'm having trouble getting it to work with the shut off detent. How do I set that up? Thanks to the community, I know someone here has done it and can steer me. Appreciate it.
  10. I’m far from proficient, however is the unit set to late start in the ME?
  11. I had a great background to combine into one track and can’t not seem to find it. I found that easy to use, hard to find.
  12. Happy to help 9line, I’d be happy to share what I can anytime, I think as DCS improves it’s ground gMe it elevates the realism of the flight sim. Exciting to see things like this!
  13. 9 line, I was a tanker for two tours and this is one of my greater frustrations with the sim at the moment. Bear in mind once a crewman sees a target they often still have to get the TC to understand where it is, or the gunner before engaging. I’m certain situations obviously they would have to get clearance to fire. They may sneak in an ammo change even. (By the way that’s a huge issue with these missiles apparently all the AI battle carry - tube launched missiles need to be a rarity not what is being toted around at all times. They are pretty difficult to use and rarely even issued, cause bad barrel wear and bore sight issues and well you don’t want to battle carry it frequently because what if you encounter something at very short distance? Your gun tube is cluttered up with something that you gotta clear before throwing in a HEAT round or whatever. Anyway, THANK YOU. It’s good to know this is something being discussed.
  14. I used that static bunker that has the greenish top and an antennae coming off of it. On Syria on the airfield west side of the city Mezzah or something like that.
  15. Since updating codes for the Tin Shield, SA5 and SA2 all are showing U now when I input them. I'm using codes 129, 130 and 126. When I look at table 3 the code for the SA2 is showing U as well. Did something change and I need updated codes or something?
  16. I didn’t think all that was truly modeled in game. Outstanding. Thanks for the input!
  17. Question, has someone already done any tests on what weapons need to be used on certain targets? My experience has caused some issues for MP missions as I seem to have some issues of SP bunkers being destroyed by GBU12 in SP but in MP we can’t seem to destroy them sometimes. I’m wondering if there is a list of items and a suggested weapon anyone has that they would share.
  18. Just curious if anyone knew of any way to spawn decoys in the air. I'm thinking of Poomba's Party in 91 and how to do that without putting F-14s with TALDs up and having them cluttering the area. Has anyone done this?
  19. YeH I’m running skynet and A2A dispatcher now and they are great but in some missions I want red to have GCI and not airborne support. I even considered a awacs on the runway but that doesn’t work.
  20. Are there any decent scripts out there that simulate a GCI instead of a AWACs? Wanting it to use EWR radars and push out info but have the ground level issues of ground based radars.
  21. I disagree and stand by my comments. Stealth has been hugely impactful on the timeframe of these jets. It should be embraced and not avoided. I’m looking forward to the better ecm and I assume radar work that’s being currently done. I don’t need the 17 when I’m still waiting on other robust iads and such is all I mean. Opinions are like … well you know. But mine is I want stuff that it makes sense to fly together. I find it disagreeable to have things such as APKWS but we won’t put them on other airframes because they are from a previous date. Well I get that if it requires changes to the bird but if it can be hung and fired without that, I’d like the option. More options are better and very controllable by mission editors with the awesome restriction capability in the ME now.
  22. Cool. But this missile entered service and is another high end SAM site from late end of DCS - 2007 is when wiki says it entered service (sorry I don't have my spyglass in front of me for a better date). When are we going to have stealth represented? The more modern threats we get the more we almost have to have it - these weapons were designed with it in mind. The F-117 was in service from 1983 - 2008 and might be flying now even according to some reports. The F-22 entered service in 2005. It is problematic to continue moving the timeline forward when we have a major issue to address on the battlefield. We have heard ECM is going to start being a thing, GREAT! That also is a HUGE part of this type of warfare. But again we are getting assets that the Supercarrier assets can be used in the same mission as and yet we don't have the Superhornet variants that would make up carrier groups in the time frame as. Maybe better timeline additions would focus on the many systems prior to. Just my thoughts.
  23. That’s sweet, mind if I use it in public missions? also have you done one for anything else? I’d like something similar for planes but I suck with adobe.
  24. Isn’t it because your plane doesn’t loose thrust the way those munitions do when their rocket burns out and they immediately start slowing? The Mav is horribly slow to begin with so it only runs off for awhile.
