No, in combat zero jokes and maximum concentration also few emotions until something goes really bad, and with this the training reduce it to minimum. This means, not to tremble like a chicken when something happens, use brevities on combat and don't be a stupid before take fuel on AAR. Any other moment, ok, pass me the cheetos bag while we talk about latest sport results.

Yes, but this is a bug introduced on DCS 2.x when they added the new lighting; if you dislike it open a bug report to ED, but it's irrealistic to think that a dirty workarround (gamma below 2.2) must to be followed by users and developers. P.S. I understand you, I opened a bug report about that some years ago, but sadly zero response.
-
The industry standard calibrated gamma is 2.2, to calibrate the screen you can use reference images and tables, like: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/ P.S. Anyway DCS uses hollywood nights and have a gamma value mess for different rendered layers; DCS needs a good director of photography

As far I know the EM uses the same for all R.530s (R.530K, R.530F, etc. but not Super 530F) using EMD radars (like Cyrano IV) the AD.26 sensor by SAT. For the IR version it uses the all-aspect AD.3501. Anyway the sensor is modular and squadron interchangeable, maybe local companies with SAT help did upgrades but I don't know about it. P.S. The Super 530F used the Super AD.26 EM sensor, an improved version.

No, dV is due a lack of delta symbol in my keyboard (and laziness to cut&paste it) and yes, this data is for vacuum; anyway those type of propellant usually don't have a dramatic loss on atmospheric. About the nozzle out velocity curve (in A-A missiles isn't constant), in this case it's almost the same, and this was the really hard part, due to do that is necessary to make a really hard research on the solid fuel cake and core shape, additives, nozzle shape, etc.
-
The main difference is the ISp. - Plastargol + Al additive: ISp(vac) ~205s - Isolane + Al additive: ISp(vac) ~259s As fast and dirty thumb rule this can mean a +26.3% dV(vac) increment. If you want to know more details, this was a direct implementation from the Diamant launchers R&D

No, ok I wil try on simple English: - R.530K: Only used Plastargol (SNPE Antoinette) - R.530F: Used old engines at first and later used Isolane (SNPE Madeleine) - Super 530F: Only used Butalane CTPB composite (SNPE Angèle) This thread is becoming a bit rude and seems that there are an "official line" to follow about this regardless of others say or simply logic. Ok, I will take your word and there is no point to continue. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Yep, the missile is a modular 2 stage, one for acceleration and other to sustain the speed.
-
No, the exportation 530K don't use Plastargol as fuel (newers use Isolane), the 530F do uses it and it's a lot more powerful. About the missile, you can see the spanish 530 FE, IR and EM, and the South African 530 FZ. And yes, those exists and are not the same than the Super 530F.
-
This manual talks about R.530K missile and F1CE had the R.530F those are different missiles, about the F you can have public but official info in ODIN: https://odin.tradoc.army.mil/mediawiki/index.php/Matra_R.530_French_Short-Range_Air-to-Air_Missile About the current R.530F implementation is clearly wrong, launched at M1.08 @8000ft only can get M1.50 (I almost was able to overtake it once jettison tanks )

The current tint is pretty accurate, the real one is almost transparent.

As you can see in this image the Mirage F1CR (118-NT) can use a double rack loading GBU-12 but in DCS we can't load it. Also I assume that load-out is usable on other F1 due that the wiring is almost the same.
-
+1 The F/A-18 have it implemented, but only when you lock it (also TWS) It will great to have it also for visual without lock.
-
You know that the new guidance system is a lot better, smart and use less energy on unnecessary turns, at now the 530D over-maneuver a lot losing energy and taking more time to get the contact. As this missile have a very low battery life this is a noticeable problem when using it. P.S. I don't have data about this missile battery life, for this I suppose that the current 45s time limit is correct.
-
The current Super 530D seeker is a bit off, I suppose that this is because it is using the old missile API. There is any plan to upgrade it to use the new missile API?

Did you self hosted the server? I only replicated it as client on a external dedicated server (not self hosted)
-
The same happens me only if land (and rearm) with HARM in "on" due that in MP once rearmed it stills in on state but internally seems off (in single player or self hosted MP it sets off correctly)
-
Ok, seems to be a MP (as client) only bug, I tried to replicate it in SP but when I rearmed HARMs, it appeared in off state (and works well) but if you do the same in MP it appears "on" and you can't fire it. P.S. If you hosts the server it works like SP, you must to be a external client.
-
This happened me yesterday on MP, I waited to rearming complete, but I didn't turn off harm once all was fired, later once rearmed all HARMs was already on due that, but seems that internally it was off. Cycle on/off didn't fix the issue, only selecting other slot fix the issue.

C'mon, as snoopy said it needs a lot more work and on three months and half none of hundreds ED employees had time to work on one of missing features?

[RESOLVED] AIM-54 inconsistency with CFD whitepaper
riojax replied to dundun92's topic in Bugs and Problems
Seems data noise, I was seeing it on DCS using F6 and it was fine and straight. Tacview sent on PM. Thank you for your time and work! -
[RESOLVED] AIM-54 inconsistency with CFD whitepaper
riojax replied to dundun92's topic in Bugs and Problems
@IronMike@JNelson@Cobra847 To replicate it: AIM-54A Mk60, 15ºC 720mmHg (ISA), starting at exactly M1.1 on active pause to avoid other launch speed (you can see it on the on rail speed) and straight shoot on maddog (without loft) 12000m 6000m 500m P.S. Ask for tacview files if you want it.
