  1. Just joking man, relax.
  2. Works perfectly fine for me in both the A and B. Just tested.
  3. I totally disagree with the no curves mafia. It's just simple logic. Adding curves dedicates a larger portion of the total resolution of each axis to near the center where you need to make precise movements. You don't need the same precision on the extremes of the axes. If zero curves was beneficial to AAR or flying tight formation than negative curves would be even more so, which is obviously not true. Don't listen to others. Everyone's stick and body combination is different. You have to experiment and find your own curves that work best for you.
  4. It's been present for me since that big April 14th patch where they updated the base game's materials and ambient lighting stuff, but it only happens to me in very specific lighting conditions. I didn't realize it was connected to the mirrors, nice find.
  5. I focus on it like a laser when I AAR in the Cat, and it works out fine for me. I only transition to focusing on the tanker after I have it plugged. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1240541499
  6. Just lean right and look at the basket out the side window right of the jail bars. You kind of have to look at the basket when connecting to the S-3 anyway, the rest of it is hidden behind the canopy bow. Contrary to popular opinion it is possible to look at the basket without getting into PIO.
  7. 100-deg off bore capability should've been a no brainer from the earliest days of the look down PD radar era. Not sure how or why 60-70 deg was considered good enough for decades.
  8. Could you elaborate on these two? Was fuel flow increased or decreased in mid power settings? And how was ground effect adjusted?
  9. Sounds like the December update will be Viggen focused. I'm not getting my hopes up for much until Jan.
  10. That's correct. My understanding is the radar in the AIM-54 is a PD radar, so if it's pitbulled on a target chaff should be no factor. We know the notch of the AWG-9 is +/- 133 kts of GS, I don't know how big the notch is for the AIM-54's radar, but the only way chaff would decoy it is if the wind was strong enough to blow the chaff out of the notch. I assume it would probably take some very strong wind to do that, and it would have to not be perpendicular in any way to the approaching missile. Chaff should only be a factor to the AWG-9 if the MLC is set to out, or if using pulse search, and chaff would have to decoy the AWG before the missile pitbulls, (or impacts in the case of a PDSTT shot). Edit/add: AIM-120s should all be immune to chaff of course, too.
  11. Never!
  12. ED are you listening??
  13. The real question is, if they're all PD radars why would any of them be decoyed by chaff at all?
  14. I disagree. The most common mistake I see from friends is they are too close when calling ready pre contact. You can actually be much farther away than you think.
  15. I was not aware. How have I never noticed that?
  16. New recruitment video: Updated website: https://51stvirtualfighterwing.net/
  17. Is there supposed to be symbology? It's just a glider. What would a CCIP line do for you?
  18. Went back and gave the episode another listen, and have to make a slight correction. Sounds like the marking laser was not a function of the LANTIRN, but was instead a hand-held IZLAD that the RIO would actually shine through the canopy down at targets to be seen through NVGs. Any chance of getting a laser like that implemented?...maybe through the mouse cursor like we do with the flashlight?
  19. Is the switches slider under audio options supposed to adjust the volume of the F-14 switches? It doesn't seem to have any effect on my switches volume at all, whether at 0%, 300%, or anywhere in between.
  20. Finally got around to listening to the FAC-A episode. I didn't know about the rocket pods (Willie Petes) and HERO restriction thing on the deck of the ship, or that they used 500 lbers for visual cues instead of WPs during talk ons. Are we getting illumination flares and a marking laser eventually? Or does our laser already mark under NVGs? I'm not sure I've tested it, but I thought we only had a targeting laser in DCS currently. We love to do CAS/FAC in our virtual wing, especially at night, so some more tools would be very welcome.
  21. You didn't test enough. He technically can fly level, I suppose, but it's not easy for him and he sometimes gets into extreme phugoid. (Never seen him roll over and crash though.) Also, ever since the "update" that gave him the ability to go to waypoints and orbit he can no longer do more than one thing at a time. If you command him to go West, climb to angels 20, and accelerate 100 kts, he will stop the turn to the west when asked to climb, and then stop the climb when asked to accelerate. He was rock solid before the improvements and could perform multiple commands at the same time. I hope HB fixes him along with the AP overhaul.
  22. Screw VAICOM, learn both seats and find yourself some human beings to fly with. Nothing is better than a section flight with all four seats occupied.
  23. Maybe, but SRS is pre-configured for the HB Tomcat. You just set the SRS only bindings in the adjust controls menu, and it's set. So it can't be an improper configuration of SRS on the user side. Also, as I mentioned in the original message, it seems to be affecting in game comms menus too, so I think there is a deeper bug at play.
  24. Yes, our drivers know how to use their HOTAS and verified their keybinds.
