  5. Sound in the Ka 50 is now awesome, hope the other Helos will sound as impressive as the Shark does now. Looking at you Mi 8 and Mi 24.
  6. A real helicopter pilot who is flying DCS once told me that most crashes in DCS helicopter are a result of accelerated mass combined with not enough stopping / engine power. VRS in his eyes is just a thing under very defined circumstances. So yeah Fragbum, you might be right about that.
  7. Think the VRS "problems" with the MI 8 do heavily depend on our sim hardware. A collective / throttle with finer (longer) range will simply give you better control over decending. This combined with some kind of buttkicker should give us every feedback we need. I have a very good Virpil throttle but still I'd like to have more range / throw. Especially in the Huey I find collective adjustments a real pita. IRL the collective has way more range, it is pretty heavy and thus gives the pilot perfect control. We are mostly working in tiny increments which is why it feels twitchy to us ...

  12. Acording to a real Viggen pilot the AP disconnect on the stick works as a step back command. For example if one has all three AP on a click goes back to ATT, next click would be SPAK.
  13. Thats a lot of bugs ! Flying the Viggen since two weeks ... Pretty disapointed actually, bugs, texture errors, broken systems, etc. No working position and landing lights Can stick my head through canopy glass with TrackIR No audible master select switching when bound to a Hotas No radar elevation axis, many control bindings missing ! No Maverick contrast and brightness dials visual in cockpit, Maverick brightness binding wrong, decrease is increase and the other way arround Sound loop in cockpit, clickable / foldable mirrors Etc, etc ... Still stunned by the detail of the F 14, the 37 lacks a lot of love ATM.
  14. Agree, no working position lights for example. ATM I am starting to hate the F 14, great module but it seems it conflicts heavily with the Viggen maintenance.

  16. Did Heatblur allow those unrealistic weapon loadout mix already or had this idea been dropped ? For me it is an absolute Nogo to implement weapon loadouts that never happend IRL because of technical limitations. It is a simulation and the realistic drawbacks are part of the fun and experience. Especially in the Viggen ...
  17. High end rig here, returned my HP Reverb. It is cool and the imersion is awesome, the rest is crap. Bad performance, landscape a muddy mess, terrain stutter, you name it. I am happy to wait a few more years ... My 2 cents

  21. The manual clearly says that both radar elevation and gain are dials with a center detent. I got two of those dials on my throttle, middle detent included. Why can't we have axis mappings for radar elevation too HB?

  24. The IR missile fast select button is located on the throttle, a shared button with Autothrottle (AFK) disengage.
  25. This is from another Viggen forum: The button on the Styrspak that is AP Disconnect. Is that ATT or HÖJD off but SPAK still on? Or SPAK off? Answer: It’s called ”SNURK” which is short for Snabburkopplingsknapp (snabb=fast, urkoppling=disconnect, knapp=button). It cancels all the SA06 modes (SPAK, ATT and HÖJD). SA06 is the Styrautomat 06 or Autopilot
