  1. did you not read mine?
  2. downside, for one, would be lack of (no incentive to produce) appropriate training mission. two, client side cheat factor three, how realistic is it having a green rectangle projected out in front?
  3. be a bit tedious with the title and logos on the screen all time, wouldn't it? :pilotfly:
  4. I don't think they do "follow the bouncing ball" in real life, do they? nah, I'm prit-ty sure they don't... oh, hang on a mo' there's a thought from a previous poster - a start up checklists... what an excellent idea

  7. I'll take the opportunity to explain my comment a bit clearer... as a "training tool", it could have merit. - but (as others pointed out "arcade/ game mode) to have such to make things easier and used as such, without any thoughts of "training" or "learning"... might as well just reduce it to a true arcade version and place in the appropriate media. is the stem of the comment. (if its been asked for before and rejected, there is probably a reason why perhaps) cheers
  8. That would have been me... I was thirsty, saw water in a glass :music_whistling: here's a 1/32 soon to be from Tamiya...
  9. why not just dumb the sim down completely and put in on facebook then?
  10. seems to be it could be associated with the DEP... Are you running the DCS and the other bits and pieces regarding DCS in Administrator mode? What are your full system specs?
  11. Oldie but goodie: A 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class. She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb... It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders.. Their insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are 6-year-old first-graders, because the last one is a classic! 1. Don't change horses until they stop running. 2. Strike while the bug is close. 3. 12. no, not necessarily Similar happens in real life Sure there could be a bit of tweaking, that and less altering of FoV on players' part... but aircraft can be lost in an instant, if looked away from in real life, as much as aircraft can be difficult to spot in real life (yes, even big white commercial aircraft), even if the looker knows where to look let's get a bit more accurate in the "can't spot the dot" cries of the protagonists I'm all for "realism" too, but not at the expense of realism... current technology precludes "realism" on a grand scale
  13. Try turning Auto Threading to Off in the NV control panel
  14. no its not... quite often, in winter times, condensation trails can be seen from commercial airliners, but the actual plane isn't visible

  18. Best thing to do, is to leave the Page File at its default setting... tick the box "Automatically manage paging file system for all drives" in the Performance Options tab (resetting it worked with systems up to XP and early Vista) and make sure you have enough physical RAM onboard instead What you could look at, which does help; is disabling Core Parking
  19. perhaps, the new fields on the new coming maps? :music_whistling:
  20. After reading through some of the threads, it struck me as an excellent proposal... that of an Airfield Emergency Arresting system, you know - the trap cable laid across an airstrip, with the appropriate equipment on either side, in case of an aircraft coming in to land with no brakes, damaged gear, etc. A cable system , and or a net system... how about it?
  21. and this...
  22. silly question... if you upgraded your mobo/ cpu, did you run a fresh install of your Op Sys and then everything else? time sync Windows will, through that also set the mobo date/ time correctly
