there's also the ever present situation of people changing their mind after they've made their choice... don't think for a moment that won't happen. The cries then are, "I've changed my mind, you allowed it once what's wrong with allowing it again - or give me my money back - or I never buy again - or ~". Then non-backers will want to be able to change things... its a nightmare waiting to happen

Its the precedent set, by allowing "swaps" that creates a headache down the track... do it now and it will have to be allowed again later, and then again and again (from my own experiences and in speaking from that) Change things? That's what got the original KS into such a mess in the first place... changing things to try and keep everybody happy. (having everyone happy is a nigh on impossible task)

I thought it would be a z77 chipset... that chipset was an unstable release that Intel should never have proceeded with. That why your BIOS settings are changing (by what you seem to have said) by itself. (For instance, the last Intel BIOS upgrade was May 2013... to give you an idea) That chipset, you need to run in its factory default state. The memory setting are safe to modify, if using XMP. (setting the main four settings and correct voltage) If you're running Lucid Virtu - don't run it with DCS, they don't play nice together

what Op. Sys. and motherboard are you running? I had an H80i and the thing died on me, after many months of it running just fine... the pump just went and seized up one afternoon Set your Page File to System Managed and be done with it

How much RAM are you running? and is everything you're running, with regard to DCS, consistently As Administrator or not... did you install As Administrator?

Why?... most of us a just on a knife-edge waiting :P

How are you trying to bring up Task Manager? There were quite a few instances of "Bit Defender not playing nice with DCS" reports a while back... restart in Safe Mode and disable the Bit Defender, then restart normally and try updating again.

The device detection and assigning default is something which could definitely be sorted a bit better. As it is now, all joystick/ throttle/ rudder axis commands have to be deleted and redone on initial install to make sure they work properly. :joystick:

Thanks Wags/ ED for continuing on with the project... even though I didn't pledge, it always had (and will continue to have) my full support. With Luthier leaving the RRG team, I'm hoping it was in amicable circumstances (with everything remaining amicable moving on in to the future) and stemmed from a self made realisation that he just couldn't for emotional/ domestic legal reasons carry on leading the project. Wags, I have one question which I'm hoping could be answered... is Oleg still on the team?
