  1. unfortunately, what you're complaining about shouldn't be happening is what happens in real life
  2. did you try the other settings as well? ... it does make a difference; considering the condition presented Autothreading Optimisation should not be set to ON... the sim is not multicore aware in the sense the setting requires I'm not playin' ya for a mug, mate
  3. and for the ever popular question... could you please post up your system specs, graphic card and ingame settings please - it does help us to help you :)
  4. i7-5930K @ 3.50GHz, 6 Core (HT enabled) EVGA x99 FTW mobo EVGA GTX980Ti 6GB vga driver version 361.43 Corsair Vengeance ram 16GB, 2666Hz Creative Recon3D sound card Samsung Syncmaster PX2370 monitor Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and no modified ingame files/ 3rd party addons or tools - all as original/ except for Controls (A10-C), a virgin install same for my years old X58FTW/ GTX580, and Z77 (with its unstable chipset)/ GTX680 before upgrading to current So what exactly is the problem with user who say; "Yeah, all fine" one minute, then complain/whinge about things the next? yet... others with similar systems indicate no problem/ need to whinge whatsoever? (I'm sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful - I just don't understand the philosophy)
  5. @ msalama... that's why turn it to OFF for DX, so nothing is trying to be "forced" by the VGA... me personally, I don't use any 3rd party "tool" - I've found them to cause grief in one way or another in the past @ Kuky... Gamma Correction is a huge frame rate killer, moreso than setting a High Quality Level... v v
  6. bit of a watch, but it covers a lot...
  7. @ juetat2... Turn Gamma Correction to OFF Antialiasing - Transparency to 4x (maximum) Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance Threaded Optimization to OFF Vertical Sync to Application Controlled and turn to ON ingame You could look at your computer's Power Settings and check for your system throttling down/ Core Parking, etc
  8. These settings, for me, give the best result... i7-5930K @ 3.50GHz, 6 Core (HT enabled) EVGA x99 FTW mobo EVGA GTX980Ti 6GB vga Corsair Vengeance ram 16GB, 2666Hz Creative Recon 3D sound card Samsung Syncmaster PX2370 monitor Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and no modified ingame files - all as original/ except for Controls (A10-C), a virgin install
  9. At least some of the MS $ seems to be being well spent... https://www.warhistoryonline.com/war-articles/paul-allen-airplane-collection.html?src=fba&type=int&page=who
  10. "regular updates/ announcements" were abused, which is why "when it is ready to be announced, it will be" came from; so read from that what one would
  11. just a helper alonger... https://www.warhistoryonline.com/military-vehicle-news/horten-229-v3-flying-wing-48-images-have-you-seen-all-of-these-before.html?src=fba&type=wca&page=who
  12. all good here, so far (even in the SU25T)... no Mirage installed
  13. cheers... could be a thought to consider reverting some of your programs listed to Manual, instead of Automatic (services.msc) ... Abobe/ Dropbox/ etc. This will free up more RAM for your system and DCS, considering being 8 Gb minus a bit. for example (give me a moment) see below - different MB, 16Gb RAM and items not necessary to run at Startup but can be called on when needed (still got to figure out Office 365, but it pretty much sux) Generally, what I'm offering, is to considering dropping in more RAM and to switching to manual what isn't necessary to have run "Automatically" at System Startup
  14. Could the mods please look at these threads for what they are? ... it just ends up being same old rehashed hash, and only end up "heated and going 'round in circles There is a "solution" administered and only a few (however "vocal" they be) stlll don't like it - set the thing for the middle and be done with it
  15. ^^^ unfair approach, sorry to say If ya really want great big in ya face first person shooter thingies - then by all means set up your own MP. Now, I'm not being unrealistic here, if you want something you think is right, then by all means set it up ya can't be expected to have everyone kowtow to your particular wants though - some like "this"/ some like "that". If you set up your own, and no-one or only a few come in - that's something for you to look at. Mission designers, design their way... don't like, don't join (it was the same on The Zone, as it was on Hyperlobby) - its all free choice
  16. Sadly another... RIP Lemmy ol' mate, who passed away today
  17. RIP Stevie - who sadly, passed away yesterday
  18. Thanks for taking the time :) was hoping it would have been just from an idle desktop, no DCS running, just what the system itself is using as this gives a better insight into just how much RAM is available... but glad you're up and running
  19. C000005 errors do indicate RAM issues could you post up the screenie asked for?
  20. Does Windows 10 have the Resource Monitor as Windows 7 does? If so, please open it and post up a screen shot of the Memory tab
  21. rinse and repeat - an age old age old... @ gavagai... you ( collectively ) were given an original and elegant solution (you were also given the reasons why) and server setting was an ineveitable inclusion to keep MP fair, it wasn't a "misstep" it was a necessity. Have you thought that if you want to play a certain way, perhaps get together and set up your own MP? - just a thought
  22. How far away from your monitor do you sit, DragOnWIng? Misophonia is another to consider... the pilot breathing sound
