  1. If you delete this one, another will just appear. You cannot kill that which has no life!
  2. That's classified
  3. There are plenty of F-14As without the PTID, not sure how you can be bamboozled regarding a feature we never promised to be included? This is similar to the guy who tried to tell us that we're not delivering a legitimate A model without glove vanes (another feature which we never promised). All I can say is that we currently don't plan to include anything like the PTID into the base F-14 package.
  4. This is super unlikely to ever happen for the reasons stated above. There's not enough info out there to make it, we're delivering what we said we would deliver, we can't just keep continuously adding additional features that were never planned just because "it would be cool". Even if enough info did exist, you have to understand that HB is a business and not a bottomless extra features money-pit, we planned the deliverable feature set you're getting (and have already paid for) for a reason and we're sticking to it.
  5. There may also be bugs at play here, but currently other things are higher priority.
  6. It's on the list.
  7. It seems we share this opinion! As does @Cobra847 :pilotfly:
  8. The hotfix today was just some stuff ED wanted to push. As far as I know, the next F-14 patch will come next week. We were ready and hoping for a Wednesday patch this week but doesn't look like it's going to happen.
  9. It was? NEW Afterburner Gate option + keybind.
  10. On the option itself. You'll notice that each option has a description to let you know what it does before you select it. Neat, huh?
  11. Did you try maybe...reading the description next to the option? In case you didn't, it installs mini gremlins inside your throttle that push back against you as you try to push the throttle into afterburner. When you press the gate key they let go. It was tricky to get them to behave correctly, believe me. :)
  12. I'll take a look, but probably won't get to it before the cutoff for the next patch.
  13. Your system is significantly better than mine and I don't think I have performance issues like that. 99% of my DCS time is SP flight testing on the Caucasus map though, so I'm not running any complicated missions.
  14. What's your computer hardware? CPU/GPU/RAM?
  15. I'm not on the art side so I can't speak to the AoA indexer, but I mostly look at the AOA indicator (should be at 15 units) when landing and have no issues.
  16. @Kula66 The flap jamming model is designed to reflect the reality of the flap actuating mechanism's "shortcomings", if you need to think about it like that. It's just how it was. Please just read this post if you haven't yet. At least we don't allow flap jamming at all with just man flaps deployed (from Victory's story above), in that sense we're being lenient on everyone.
  17. Very unlikely that it's purely the F-14A causing this, what are you system specs and settings? Are you flying in VR?
  18. The slat deploy schedule is primarily a function of AOA, so this is assuming that you're above the AOA threshold throughout the entire maneuver?
  19. We haven't forgotten about this, it's on the list.
  20. This issue is known and is being fixed in the next patch.
  21. Just be aware that if these even get added cosmetically, it will be extremely low priority and will not be considered a blocker to leaving early access status.
  22. It should be somewhat random for each individual zone light, if it's always consistent it could be a bug or your throttle may be out of alignment?
  23. Look up mach lever shift in the NATOPS for more info.
  24. It's part of the mach lever functionality.
  25. Only thing we can say about this (for the millionth time) is that it won't happen unless more documents that we need are made available (legally! and if they even still exist). None of us are interested in going to jail over a video game and unless some major geopolitical changes occur in the world it's just a fantasy. We won't "guess" to fill in knowledge gaps. And reading the 20th F-14D wish thread on here isn't going to make us suddenly say "Oh yeah, let's make an F-14D, why didn't we think of this earlier?" I think everyone can agree that an F-14D would be awesome, but for now consider it effectively impossible. You're welcome to discuss it, but these threads are not going to change the situation so discussions about it are somewhat pointless unless you hear directly from us that something has changed. To add to that, even a B(U) version or other things like DFCS are either not planned or we don't have documentation for. Currently, the F-14 is the only module in DCS that has the variants to represent the entire service lifetime of the aircraft. We are delivering what we said we would deliver and have to stop at some point. We don't have plans to make these upgrade packages either so wishlist threads for these upgrades have as much use as this thread. Again, if anything changes we will let everyone know. Until then, don't expect that threads likes this to suddenly change our minds. Sorry to disappoint you, @HairyPOOnuggets :D. Quite a username, btw
