  1. Its a bilungual cockpit. In Brighton Beach, Brooklyn NYC, where there is a large Russian and former USSR population, that random combination of RUssian and English is called Junglish. With a "J".
  2. I am investigating. THere are new options in SPecial that I have not seen before. Perhaps the cutoff detente option , set at 15%, is a contributing factor. But right now. To cold start. I have to hold down start while advancing throttle. If I do not hold down STARTwhile advancing to IDLE, the cockpit throttle does not advance. What is Elastic Limit Axis Position? Elastic Limit Bind?
  3. My binds have not changed. But behavior of Mirage module has. So far only in cold sart respect.
  4. OK. Something has changed, and I beleive that the procedure has changed. Before : Hold down start for 4 seconds or until power is at 11%. Release start and advance throttle to IDLE. NOW: Continue holding down the start , after power reaches 11%, and advance throttle to idle , while holding down start. With X56 this requires some finger gymnastics.
  5. Advancing throttle to IDLE, does not move the cockpit throttle to idle position. I have checked that my thrust is mapped to axis. Works fine when starting mission in air. But in cold start scenario, advancing the X56 throttle up to bring up Mirage throttle to IDLE no longer works. THe thottle that is in cockpit remains locked in OFF position. So something in start sequence has changed. I am gonna try a few things, and if I can't get to work, then post. But in previous attempts , in any module, when I posted a track, it proved useless. Becouse track had different playback for different people. I have latest beta. Others may or may not, which makes track posting a near useless task. Blame on that one on developers. Just not sure which developers. I have had Mirage for two 1/2 years, and use it often. Cold Start always worked. Now something has changed.
  6. With external power ON. Turn fuel pumps ON. Press and hold start . Watch until power is at 11%. Advance throttle to IDLE. Watch until power settles on 49-54%. This is broken now. Advance to throttle DOES NOT advance to idle!

  9. Once 2.8 ships, the whole performance testing begins all over again. As all these cool 2.8 stuff, dynamic weather, rolling clouds, will suckup CPU+memory and GPU power I suppouse. I havent seen it, there are some early insider build posts on YT So I have no idea how much more horsepower 2.8 will need over 2.7 to maintain desired FPS. My requirement is 144+ on panels, and at least 180FPS with VR set, not using any anti-aliasing at 2560X1440. Now my current rig still delivers above 120 most of the time, but its struggling, with F-16 and AH-64D performing poorly, and bogs down in combat when I strike convoys. F/A-18C siting cold on supercarrier at 1440P no anti-aliasing, is 70-90 FPS. Far too low for me. FPS increases after T/O and altitude gain. I loose on average 15-20 FPS if I turn on mirrors in cockpit view. Thats on current 2.7. I am going to loose FPS with 2.8 so it may time to budget a new system. Current one will not benefit from higher GPU, and I doubt that my PS can handle more then it has to right now. I replaced RTX 2060Super with RTX 3060Ti, and saw little if any FPS gain. I am really disappointed with that letdown. My rig: XEON E5-1630v4 3.7-4.0(turbo), 64gb ECC 2666, HP Turbodrive NvMe, RTX 3060Ti. DCS is 1 screen 2560X1440.
  10. MS Flight Simulator module loader. A shell AI that loads MSFS type modules, and converts into AI only, with simplest flight model. Just to create ambient air traffic of commercial ATS and private general aviation. Seaplanes and amphibians. BE-12, BE-200, Japanese ShinMayva, general aviation float equipped aircraft.
  11. Direct CW02 George to switch TADS from nite IR to day or vice versa. A minor wish is for pilot to have final say in weapons safe/arm. Right now CW02 George arms weapons regardless of pilot station safe/arm. THough I was Field Artillery and not Aviation branch, US Army prefers for vehicle , or aircraft, commader to have safe/arm final responcibility.
  12. Dust filter and particle separator in Apache powerplant. As there is no startup check item or pilot control, that I am aware off, for engine FOD protection, it has to be an automatic item. Is that the case in DCS: AH-64D? KA-50, MI-24, Gazzele, there are power ON/OFF or operate switchology.

  14. Great! Is there a DCS mod for our M2KC? I am not expecting magic upgrade to DCS: M2K-5. JUst more stores variety for M2KC. I see we got iron bombs fresh off Mirage F1CE module. I have also been delivering balute and snakeyes with IAS of 450 to 500 knots, and results are similar to 425 IAS limit in older M2KC manual. Perhaps we will be fortunate if RAZBAM makes Durandals available to M2KC.
  15. Dear G*D! I have completely let my ACM/BFM skills atrophy, in favor of AG. As I tend to be mission oriented, vs AA kill score. If mission is to place bombs on target, I am the AG element. Letting AI escort me. To me strike is the core mission, and everything else is the suppourt element. Strike/CAS element- AG munition haulers. Core mission. Escort element DCA: suppourt mission. In-Flight : suppourt SEAD: Suppourt Fighter sweep OCA: suppourt CAP/Intercept DCA: suppourt AWACS: Suppourt and C&C. That said. I find it pleasantly surprising that M2KC in Air-air with F-16 can hold its own or even win, depending on pilot skill. I figure that deltas are not a sustained rate of turn in a circle fight , strong. Fighters with LEXR have slower energy bleed, and have higher nose authority at lower speeds then delta winged fighters. Deltas should shed energy faster then F-16/18/Mig29/SU-27 in a sustained turned. Thus slowing down faster, and low energy delta wing aircraft is at energy disadvantage. Perhaps this is not so, at least in DCS. To me DCS: MK2C is an energy fighter with corner velocity of 420-450 IAS, and should avoid sustained turn fights. Mirage2K vs F-16 is a real world thing and has happened in a hostile situations. Greek Mirage2K fought TUrkish F-16 over Aegean. India has Mirage2K, Pakistan has F-16.
  16. Any plausibly realistic weapons mods for out M2KC? Something more modern then 530D. LIke IRIS-T, AIM-9X,Python 4/5, Darter, AIM-120C, AIM-132. Or weapon station mod that allows radar guided AA weapons on wingroot stations.
  17. I have the same dilemma. So I went to unbiased objective source. YouTube! With same memory at 3600, same GPU RTX 3080, same NvME+SATA3 SSD, same settings (non DCS) in MS2022, and a bunch 1st/3rd person shooters. FPS were nearly the same. Some games higher, some lower, and Blender Cycles+Vray close enough that both are statistically nearly same. I'd say what you got , 5900X, is excellent. IMHO, you may not see significant increase or degradation in FPS with R7 5800X3D. However mileage may vary. If your budget allows, upgrade GPU. But what you have now is already fantastic. As appalling as it may be, R9 7900X with OC DDR5 6000 ram, PCI Gen4 NvMe, & 4090. Is maybe 15% higher then 5900X with 3600 DDR4. Either its the code efficiency, or Nvidia drivers, or whatever else, there is little to none justification to jump to AM5 DDR5 RTX40XX platform. Given the expense. But my opinion is derived from YT posted duels. I downselected only 2560X1440 duels. At 3840X2160 is where AM5 and 4090 pulls ahead.
  18. Historical potential targets for BE Lightning in DCS. Redside TU-16 (sub with H-6), TU-95 family, SU-17/22, Mig-25, Mig-23, Mig-27, Mig-19, Mig-21, MI-24, MI-8, Soviet era transports. Blue side plausible targets depending on scenario. F-14A, F-4E, A-4E, C-130, C-2, F-86, KC-135.
  19. Yes. But it depends on map features. However what really would be useful would be a map builder. Placeable roads, urban blocks, custom airfields.
  20. Tried it again. Same results. Center mounted ZUNI does not fire. I don't know if this is a bug, a limitation, or my RTFM, as I am clueless as to what to do. I accidentally overwrote yesterday's trk, with new one. New one is attached. But it looks like TRK is useless for troubleshooting. As it does not load correctly for others. So I am gonna treat it like a restriction. No ZUNI on centerline station. A_4EC_center_zuni_wont_fire.trk
  21. This module would be so much more fun in DCS in if A-4E was reved up to LM A-4AR Fighting Hawk of today's Argentine Air Force and Navy.
  22. I tried all that. Does not work. Outer pylons OFF, center pylon ON. Wing pylons and center pylon ON. All sorts of ripple fire and single combos. Reset Master Arm OFF/ON. Reset gun arm ON then OFF. Cycle dials on weps control station. Nada, nothing , never works. Does not work with Zuni on center station. Maybe its a bug, maybe its a limitation of module. RW A-4E certainly fired Zunis from center pylon. Plenty of YT videos on that. Works with Mk5 2.75 rockets. Center pylon HIPEG pod works fine. But center mounted Zuni, no good. Sucks as Zuni is such an effective weapon, and center pylon can mount 3 pack Zuni launcher.
  23. Differential braking. Thats what it has. You need rudder pedals with toe brakes. Same as Mig-21Bis.
  24. If anyone is willing. Please take a look at attached track. My center station mounted ZUNI will not fire. EVER! Just does not do it. Outer wing station station ZUNI fires fine. Belly station. No bueno! Station is ON, Master Arm ON, guns arm OFF. Depr sight -12 for guns and rockets. Weapons mode is ROCKETS. Its confusing and frustrating, and there is no apparent answer.   25. For those interested I recommend a techno-thriller novel "Choosers Of The Slain" by William Cobb. Describes a conflict described above in Drake Passage and around Tierra-Del-Fuego Patagonia, and Antarctica. The protagonists are US Navy Independence class LCS , modified with many weapons not present in real world Indy LCS, including a pair of navalized Commanche helicopters instead of real world HH-60 Seahawks. The opponents are modernized Argentine military including 2nd hand Tornadoes, and AIP SSKs.
