  1. Haven't seen that movie but I saw several X52 Pro in the movie Pandorum (2009)
  2. I produced a very proficient Logitech Extreme 3D Pro profile almost a year ago. Regardless of what everyone else here thinks I prefer mapping all buttons in Logitech Game Profiler or whatever it's called. I'll see if I can find my old post through a search of the forum, maybe it can give you some hints. But remember ALL axes were mapped in game using DCS' own axis-mapping. (works best this way imo). edit: I found a thread where I linked to my old post with the profile. The main reason I prefer using the profiling software is that I can make use of shift-buttons. This is especially useful for a joystick like the Extreme 3D Pro where the number of buttons isn't all that great. If you want, please have a look at my profile for inspiration rather than the hope of using it instantly - I would instead recommend you to create your own profile because using some one else's is just really hard and annoying for the most part. The last thread this discussion came up: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=43795 The thread where I posted my profiel: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36902 edit again: err.. I just noticed that, in fact, this profile was actually created in-game without the use of the profiling software... Forgetful me.
  3. I have a very (read: VERY) busy schedule and can seldom get more than 1.5h free for one evening, even on a not so busy week. If this wouldn't pose an insurmountable problem for me to be in a scandinavian squad I'm all in! =D I think the main reason I fly so little is because I have no one to fly with, even "boring" training flights would be golden for me. As for the name I couldn't care less really. I'll just call you my sim-friends anyway =p
  4. Aren't Valkyries all women? Nothing wrong with that though... Think of it as nordic amazon babes (not from another dimension) ;) You're right EtherealN, english is the way to go. Are we using english as our official squad language as well?
  7. I'm not sure I would agree with you on that Crunch. With the tools often talked about the community should be able to construct fully 3D clickable cockpits for the aircraft in FC2.0, sure there isn't going to be any ED effort to this (would be waste of resources imo) but it should still be possible. What I mean is that the potential is indeed there...
  8. That sucks. I have the same audio circuit on my motherboard and it works perfectly just like it should. I've got stereo speakers connected in the back (green one), headphones + mic connected in the back (black and pink) and home theater connected to optical out. I just click on the connector in the software (just like in the picture above) and select what output I want. Tried looking for drivers from your motherboard manufacturer?
  9. The viking were the pioneers of rock, they were ugly and mean and out of control....
  10. .. på att skjuta stillastående mål på maxräckvidd från hover i solsken? ;)
  11. It sure does! Either buy a TrackIR new, used or go for one of the cheaper (but not as good) options like FreeTrack, Cachya or something like that. If you're talking about Black Shark then you know you can use the mouse for looking around right? It works very well imo
  12. I did it by assigning (in SST) the different POV-direction as the button press for panning. For example: 4-way POV: POV up := [button for panning up] (press and release within 0.125s) POV down := [button for panning down] (press and release within 0.125s) POV right := [button for panning right] (press and release within 0.125s) POV left := [button for panning left] (press and release within 0.125s) Playing around with this timer will increase or decrease your panning speed.
  13. That thing to the left of the HUD isn't blacked out on this one?
  14. Lots of action! Nice composition
  15. A-MAZING. Truly! You did a wonderful job! With me being totally lost in cyrillic I never notice when something is strange text-wise anyway ;) It feels like sitting in a new version of this great sim. Truly amazing. My ol' favourite looks like brand new =D  I especially like the small hints and copyright notices (e.g. "Ricardo" in the border of a gauge and "Ricardo Cockpits" on a small plaque).. =)
  16. I think that both of the campaigns were GREAT! I couldn't vote for one or the other but I'm sorry to say that Georgian Havoc is easier to come around to playing because of being single player. The concept of a multiplayer campaign is wonderful and I totally love it, but never ever find the time to play with friends unfortunately.. =( I'd like for both to be the best of each category.
  17. You could always hold Num0+Num2, it zooms to a snapview that shows you Shkval and ABRIS. Very handy imo. Num0+NumX is a couple of different snap views. But I think the only real useful ones are Num0+Num1, Num0+Num2, Num0+Num3. They where real useful before I made my FreeTrack-rig but I really don't find a use for it nowadays with head tracking and all...
  18. Really nice vid! Enjoyed it. =)
  19. I'd say just map the axes to your X52 Pro ingame and start playing. After a while you'll notice what commands you use often. This combined with the information from the Flight Manual about the real-life cyclic and collective you can create your own profile. I'm sure that if everyone posted and tried each other's profile we'd all be pretty confused and complain about some (if not all) settings. I configured my X52 Pro as such: Axis settings were done in Black Shark. ALL buttons were assigned in my SST profile as the key strokes that perform each function. I really think that ED is a wonderful developer here in that they have given every single in-game function a key bind. This makes for very easy profiling - unlike for example IL-2 where almost no function is bound to any key by default, making profile creation for a game like that almost impossible with out a lot of alt-tabbing and messing around with new binds etc...
  20. Never mind all that talk. You've made a thread about something that there was already a thread about that everyone forgot. No big deal - you've at least brought to my attention that this thing has been released (which is good imo ;)) Now tell me, has anyone bought it and when does the reviews start pouring in?
  21. I want to be more of #3 and #4 but real life keeps getting in my way with the result of me spending 15-45min in #1 and #2 instead...
  22. It's great to see this wonderful mod finally released! =D Thank you a lot Just wish the server on which it is hosted would be a bit faster - download with almost pre-millennium telephone modem speeds here=(
  23. Enough with the winking ;)
  24. Isn't it already? Try switching between the different view modes (Left Alt + C) and scrolling. I use mouse scrolling bound to my slider on X52 Pro to zoom just this way. I have a button for switching between modes (LAlt+C) and then scroll using my slider - very convienient and precise. ;)
