I am using the stable branch (2.5.6). The track I provided is in that release. 2.7 is not related to that specific issue at least. Anyone checked the track? I opened a bug but no feedback there.

Hi =Andre=, I would like to buy SoundModule from your site. It says that you are off until May 2nd, but your notice also says that I should still be able to buy software. But if I click on that link, it will send me back to your notice. Sent you an email about it. Briefly, just want to know if I can buy the payware version before may 2nd? Thanks Also ... That thread is HUGE. Any of you guys did custom sounds for the F-5, Huey and F-16 ...which are mostly the aircraft I use. Do you guys have some kinds of repository for custom aircraft sound package somewhere?

Anyone use mini joystick to scan targets in MFD?
Frag replied to Frag's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Wanted to buy it at some point but that thing was unavailable for so long that getting a date with Mila Kunis was simpler than buying one of these thing. Are they easier to get now? -

Anyone use mini joystick to scan targets in MFD?
Frag replied to Frag's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the detailed answer Headwarp! I am using the Warthog right now but for some reason I hate using the SLEW with it. I have a PS4 controller that I do not use around. I will see if I could use it and maybe even disassemble it and fix the mini joystick somewhere! Thanks for the input guys. -
DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
Frag replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Is there a way to have the paratroopers jumping from a script for the C130 Anubis controlled by the AI? -
I can reproduce this at will. Mostly when the spacing between the bombs is small. Reproducing: - Take a F16 with 12 MK-82 Snakeeyes (have the same issue with the F-5) - Set the RIPPLE to 12 (to release all the bombs) - Set spacing to 20 feet. - Fly level and drop the bomb at more than 400 knots. 90% of the time, you will go BOOM See the track attached. Clearly the bombs collide mid air, but I am convince that the US airforce would not let the aircraft configure the ordinance in a way that would kill the pilot as soon as he "pickle" the bomb. Deadly Snakeeyes.trk

Sure. In this clip I was at 580 knots at release. But I have commonly this at any speed over 400 knots. I guess the spacing is the problem as =52d=skip reported. But if is the case, this is clearly a bug. Here is the track attached... Deadly Snakeeyes.trk

Just a generic question ... I always been on the stable branch, and to be honest .... this is the first time that I REALLY want that beta version LOLL Just wondering since I never noticed, how long usually is the interval for the BETA branch to be pushed GA? Do not get me wrong, not complaining or pushing here, just wondering from the past stats ...

I will test this out. I am still on 2.6 (stable branch) This is exactly what I think is happening. This is the reason why I think that there is a bug. You could in theory drop all bomb at the same time, no reason for these to be triggered. If it would be like that in real life, they would never use such a dangerous weapon. No I am very careful with this. I fly level or in very gentle altitude increase. If you guys feel like bombing trucks, drop few ones in the mission editor and test it out. It is quite easy to reproduce. But again, seems like if I fly at less than 400 knots, I will not get the issue as much. But as you know, I would rather have a very fast pass over the target area.

Hi guys, I commonly blow myself out to bit with the Mk-82 Snakeeye. I was having the issue with the F-5, but now I still have the same issue with the F-16. Check this out. I carry 12 bombs (3 per stack on 4 hardpoints). I set: Ripple : 12 (to drop them all) Mode: Single Spacing 20 feet I set my speed to +-400 knots and my AGL is about 500-600 feet. I commonly blow on the spot, as soon as I release the bomb. So it is not the fragmentation from the bomb impact on the ground. I notice that the issue is not as common if I fly slower in the 300-350 knots range. Am I missing something. I am pretty sure it is a bug. No way the air force would let pilots use that armament if it would be that easy to trigger the bombs at the release time. Test it out and let me know your conclusion. It's early to say but I think that the speed at which your drop the bomb seems to be directly related to that thing.

Hi guys, I do play with the A10 / F16 a lot these days and one thing I hate is to uses keys on the hotas to move the camera in the MFD while scanning for target. I would like to use to kind of mini joystick to do so. I am fine from removing my hand from the throttle to do so. Any of you do it this way? And if yes, please share what you are using.

Hi guys, I am looking into something, but I think it cannot be done. i would like to know if someone found a way to do this. I would like to be able to send a script command to the currently running mission, but thru an external process. Example: I would like to have an external EXE file, that would send a command thru the currently running mission. In this example, I would like to send the message "Hello world" to all when I click on a button within the external application. In Moose, I could simply call this from the mission: MessageToAll("Hello world",10,"") ... but looking for a way to have that external application to send it to the currently running mission. Any path to do this? I know that the current community dynamic campaign are editing mission file prior to load the mission. But I am looking for a way to interact while the mission is running.

Wow you just made my day!

LOL yeah that is funny. I always been a bit reluctant to introduce my FS2020 friend to DCS since it was looking quite bad in comparison. But yes I agree with you ... I have to say that it looks as good now from high altitude. Who knows ... maybe 3.0 will bring us amazing graph on the ground as well

Didn't they say that the Vulcan project was now on ice ... a mile away down the project stack? I may be wrong, but remember seeing that somewhere.

Molevich’s Mi-24 Sim-pit on target for ready when the module drops!
Frag replied to molevitch's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Holy hell that is the best of both world! The thing with cockpit is that you cannot use VR ...but you may have found a solution to this! Would be nice to see that headset if you have a picture! Wow! The blade look as good as metal. Nice work man! -
I am on the stable branch (long story) and you guys are killing me with the 2.7 release. CANT WAIT to try it out. Also I recently build a new gaming rig with an 16 gig AMD 6900 XT, everything is just blasting fast now. These clouds will be awesome.

About the AI... just wish that the chopper AI will at least be able to navigate thru mountains without crashing to the mountains side. This is one of the main issue I have with the Huey. I love flying in formation, but the AI wingman tend to crash a lot... Beside, that interview was gold! Wonder how it did not pop up that much. A lot of information about other modules as well. Thanks for sharing!

I guess you know your stuff around enough in electronic not to send too much power to that fan. Would be bad to explain a doctor how you lost 3 fingers LOLL - "So yeah ... I was building that cockpit for a flight simulator and ..." -

CCRP: At which altitude do you consider yourself precise with dumb MK-84?
Frag replied to Frag's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yeah not much reply as well. CCRP is probably not really popular. -
Map objects as asset objects in mission editor
Frag replied to NakedSquirrel's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It is difficult to believe that existing objects can be difficult to be added to the mission editor to be used. It's probably nothing more than adding a config files that point to these. -
Hi guys, I was reading something about CCRP and MK84 in another thread and it brought a question to my mind. I use both the CCIP and CCRP mode, however I specialized myself with the CCIP ... so I do not know CCRP as much. CCIP requires a dive to be precise so it exposes you more to retaliation from an aggressive target. This being said, it is sometime safer to use CCRP from higher altitude on a flat trajectory when possible to avoid getting shot at. So let's say a truck size target ... from which altitude would you feel that you could destroy the target every time with a dumb MK-84 in CCRP mode? I know that you would usually use CCRP on bigger target like a bridge or a building with many bombs ... but let talk precision here: Single MK-84 and a small truck target.
