I did not edit my Track-IR file. Sorry I didn’t make myself clear. I actually assigned the zoom function via the DCS axis assignments menu in Settings. On top of having my normal Track-IR functions to look around I also now have a zoom function assigned to it when I move a bit forward. It is all very natural and I was surprised how it actually makes things much easier. Hope this can help you guys too.

Hi guys, i have been folowing this thread and i have the same issues as you guys. I found a fix that makes it all good again. (for me). I actually realized that the default view is too far aft from the ICP or consoles. And even when you move forward physically you don't really get any closer with the track-ir. I did assign the zoom function to my Track-IR axis so that when i look at my MFD's, if i move my head slightly foward i actually zoom in a bit on the MFD's,as if i was getting my face closer to the MFd's. I can read the MFd's much better and to zoom out or get back to a normal view i just get back to my natural seating position and it makes the trick for me. I hope this can help and maybe in the future, ED could change the default view to be a bit closer to the consoles that it actually is. It only takes a few inches of head forward movement to actually have a confortable readability of the MFD's. I also think that the MFd symbols could be a tiny bit larger. Maybe a change of fonts/police size.

About those lights, when going into Covert mode, I should be able to see them with the NVG’s only right ? So far when going Covert the lights indeed go infrared but I can’t see them with NVG’s. Or how is it supposed to be seen ?

[LATER IN EARLY ACCESS]Data link should be a priority for next patch

How about we get lights first ? -
Is it safe ? I am not tying to be a smart ass, but is it safe to edit files like that ? Is it going to impact frame rates etc ?
-
Where did you get that technique from ? This is a potentially very dangerous situation.

Especially with the viper you really need to land on speed and maintain 13 degrees of pitch to effectively aerobrake the plane. Once the nosewheel gets down, full stick aft and speedbrake override and hit the brakes. The brakes could be a little bit stronger but all in all they aren't that bad.

That for sure rules out the rudder being the issue. Let's see and wait in the upcomming updates.
-
I can't test it now, but could someone please try the following ? Disconnect your rudder pedals and use the keyboard for ruder. And see if there is still a left deflection during takeoff roll. The results will maybe helpmtonarrow downnthe issue.

I did mention that, and someone from ED team classified it as not being a bug. Someone else roadsted me for reporting it and told me this is early access and it how the sim works for now. You will also notice that when you have the tgp on the horizon, and if you décide to move the tgp with the cursors, then the waypoint you current have active will move phyisically.
-
Glad to see I am not the only one with that issue. I also tried with a dead zone of 5 and a curve of 30. When I apply power I starts to roll out straight and then it starts to veer to the left. I have to apply constant rudder to keep.it know the centerline.

This is the case too many times in the simulation community. Aviation is something that is far more flexible than what the written rules want to make it look line. What Wags said is not wrong or inaccurate. It is something for you to start off with. Pilots usually know where the limits are and depending on them, there is a maneuvering area where you pick tour numbers/ options. Adaptation to the situation.

YOu don't touch the rudders until touchdown in the viper .... you do no decrab.

Hello Comunity, I first of all would like to thank ED team for releasing the F-16 Module. The F-16 is the plane i was really looking forward too. As you guessed it, it is my favourite Airplane. Yesterday after coming back from work i had the pleasure to try the F-16. I own a Hotas Cougar with a force sensing mod. The setting up was easy and all axis got recognized. It is an EA, but what i really enjoyed is the feeling i go when hopping in the cockpit. Startup procedure was nice, and for an very early access module i am satisfied. Flying the Viper in DCS, i did not have the feeling that the fuel flow or acceleration are off, it is actually what i expected. I own the Nevada DCs Map, and flying the Viper in that area is simply iconic. I enjoy it very much, just one thing i wished for in an Early access, are the lights. ED please keep up the good work.

No F-16 in the module manager as well ...
-
You press, and you hold it pressed in order for the laser to be fired continiously
-
We should also expect auto-lase function that can be set up through the dedicated DED page. But is early access, but I am very impressed with how many features this early access module comes with. Impressive !!
-
I feel like a little girl .... overly excited!
-
Sounds promising if one of the modules has it already implemented.

Being in CAT III configuration does not stop you from over stressing the stores. And something i really don't understand on this forum is how vindictive some of you get. I know it is an early access and my post was not a critic. This is a forum about the F-16 and i am asking a question. If you don't have something nice to say then just don't write it down. Ignore me if i am a bugger. Those forum nazis are really tiring.

True but that switch is not there to protect the store limitations.
