Latest windows 10 update and DCS performance Hello community, I installed the latest Windows 10 update today, it was a big one I guess since it made restart my computer several times. Following that my DCS world experience has encountered some major performance issues. The loading time has significantly increased and I encounter a noticeable FPS loss. Do you guys have a solution or is it a temporary issue with every Windows 10 major update ? I was so happy with the latest update of DCS world, a lot of background work has been done and performance wise you can feel it .... now I feel that windows 10 just made everything hard to enjoy.

I am actually very happy with the latest update. Nothing much concerning the F-16, but performance wise DCS has become more stable, which when we are going to get Mavericks and more TGP and radar features will be critical.

Put it in AREA mode.

Be patient, it is WIP.

Buy a finished module and wait for the F-16 module to be finished. A-10C is good fun.

That last patch really did more harm to the viper than any SAM could.

same issue still. In A-G mode when you have the TGP loaded on your plane, when you change waypoints your steerpoints do disapear.

Other issue i have is that whn i have the TGP in SOI, and i change waypoints the waypoints erase themselves and disappear from my HSD.

About that laser that you have to fire manually, there is also an auto made function where you enter the time before impact when the laser has to fire on it’s own. It that DED page is not completed yet, it is the DED laser page.

If I did understand you correctly, I need to offset from target once the bomb has left my wing right ? The pod being on the right cheek, a left turn makes sense right ? Now, when dropping from 20K, 15 to 20 potatoes count down is right ? Since we have early version of LGB with Bang bang guidance principle. Also with Bang Bang guidance I think it would make sense to pick up speed to give my bomb more kinetik energy ? Favoring a dive delivery instead of a level delivery especially with the GBU-10 ? With a moving target, if I understand correctly everything you and feeder have written it would make sens to drop LGB on a moving car while facing the car instead of chasing it ? Thanks again for the inputs, would be cool to have a tutorial on how to drop and LGB, not really about how to configure but more about techniques and limitations of the GBU-10/12 and especially about speeds and altitudes.

Okay, noted down your remarks. My target is a command post, which is really not that high a live the ground and therefore there is no podium effect. But I tried with your comments and it still doesn’t hit the targets on the Persian gulf map. I don’t have any issues with Nevada or Caucasus map. Only in Persian gulf map. I hank you for the inputs.

Running into similar issues with LGB on the Persian Gulf map only. I wait 8 to 10 seconds before lasing and the bomb falls short or long from the target. Booted up the training mission on the Nevada map for LGB, and i did hit the target everytime. I fly to the target with the target steering line centerd, pickle, wait 8 to 10 seconds before lasing, once overhead the target i make a left turn and continue lasing. No interruption in the lasing and the bomb fall off target everytime. This is only happening since the latest update to the F-16 module. In the Nevada map it works like a charm.

I haven’t read the 12 pages. But you are surely right. There is definitely a problem with the readability of the MFD’s , contrast is not good, size of the symbols neither and many more things. I just try in the meantime to tweak things so that it is bearable. I am not in denial about the issue, just trying to work with it.

What is your gamma setting ? Have you tried to play with your screen settings ? Just a guess.

You know that with the latest update you can go into the control page of your HSD and actually remove the cyan rings ? You can edit what shows up on your HSD page. I think it is unfair to call it a showstopper, annoying at most but definitively not stopping someone from using the F-16. But that is just me.

Bad SA is not a valid argument to state that without DL the F-16 is at a disadvantage. You have an RWR and you also have radio comms. You have a radar.
