  1. It's really disappointing to see whats happened with the Viper and consequently the Hornet. I can't say that I've lost faith in ED, business is business, teams and priorities shift from project to project. I get that. You can clearly see how much the development of Hornet systems has slowed down looking at the Mini Updates. I miss those, maybe the soothing voice of Matt Wagner would calm us all down. I feel like ED was in an absolute panic as they came upon the release of the Viper based on how incomplete it is - and still is - resulting in their decision to shift developers. I will commend ED here in how vocal they have been with us, it takes guts to make these announcements and keep us as updated as they do, whether that's something positive such as an upcoming "Aft Pod Antenna Option" (cool) or news that they know will cause a fuss. I'll continue to support Eagle Dynamics and purchase modules that I am interested in such as Super Carrier and any new maps, but I think that we in the Hornet community could really use a gesture of good faith from the devs and something to get excited about.
  2. You wont see the Litening Pod on the check station, that'll be the ATFLIR when we get it.
  3. With the most recent sale concluded, I would guess that we will see this prior to the end of the month! Pure tinfoil hat speculation mind you. But the module has been in QA review for a number of weeks now, giving Deka time to iron out any major issues prior to release.
  4. Fun idea, but unfortunately with how basic the infantry units work in DCS, you can't really execute this to the desired extent... One day maybe...
  5. I don't know how the system would really work if this wasn't available
  6. I really need to climb back into the Viggen!
  7. Just added it to the waypoint with advanced triggers similar to the follow command. The aircraft is returning to overfly the waypoint which the follow command is present. Does that make sense?
  8. I put a skip waypoint command after the follow command. Could do it as a triggered action
  9. I sure hope that's the case!! I would be a happy guy if we got this before the end of the year! Not holding my breath on that at all, but dang dude it'd be an exciting year for DCS if that happened.
  10. Thanks for all your hard work, looks awesome!
  11. Someones just being a negative nancy
  12. I think he means the reins, you know the thing that makes the horse pull the wagon
  13. Yes a few emergencies will result in a HALF Flaps landing being the best option such as a LEF failure. The Hornet has excellent slow-speed maneuverability, whether that's in a BFM environment, or around the boat in for landing. Leaving the flaps in the half setting probably would be the reason you're "so close" to stalling...
  14. Despite your decades of FSX flying, this is incorrect. According to the NATOPS the F-A-18C is to be landed with full flaps. Every time. You also don't fly a landing with V-speeds like you do in civil aviation, you land with specific AOA on the jet: 6.9 to 8.1 degrees on a glideslope on 3.5 degrees
  15. It seems to be a lot worse than it was previously I've noticed...
  16. When the Tomcat starts to buck you're reaching her limits. Treat her well, and with a cool hand, and you'll see how rewarding properly flying this jet truly is.
  17. Have you tried from an airborne start? I've heard grumblings the Walleye only works in air start...
