  3. i heard that some pilots during wartime would grey out the rear roundels. in order to not provide the enemy a means of estimating distance by taking measurement from it. 1. is that true ? 2. what did it look like?, as id like to recreate it.
  4. i would like to add transparency to a simple fence model i have made. any clues ? the internal structure shows as black where it should be transparent. i have windsock model with some animation in 3d max. how to apply that to the simple model ? any hints or tips would be very welcome.
  5. get a dark room environment with no heat sources or light sources. any moving sunlight is bad ! when i use my clip and it is upside down it does what you are experiencing. Are you sure it is the correct way up ? small of the 2 sides from the centre is on the top side. the long part at the bottom. on the track clip pro, which i presume you have. also make sure in the programming it is set to correct track clip. pro or not pro etc.

  10. so yesterday i moved the sound slider bars, and suffer from sound cutting out upon activation of the cockpit moving sound. what i think ive found out is that if the cockpit slider bar is higher than the world bar then this bug occurs. i think. seems that whatever slider bar affects the cockpit moving sound is causing the issue imo.
  11. question, internal pilot textures, do they work for you guys ? the textures changed in last patch, iam an orange man now in the cockpit

  13. ok ok, i wasnt aware there would be financial loss. if breaking even i would argue. and i`d pay for Ed to break even +5 quid. its just such a nice addition to the sim itself.
  14. i was led to believe there was only 1 option last i discussed it. Print your own. very disapointed with Ed on this.
  15. i never got to flightsimming by starting with the most hardcore of flightsims. my interest compelled me to look for more and get to such levels. the less access to flightsimming in any form is not really a good thing at the end of the day beyond opinions.
  16. .constant changes in manifold rock refers to. not RPM and not both together.!. and a window of operation for the manifold. RPM is generally set and not changed at the same frequencies as the manifold. if there is a change in RPM it comes at a point where the routine changes. but for general formation RPM is set. , lets say wolf is in lead and is set at 40 on the manifold. to fly formation near him constant adjustment is required, so we may set a window of 35-45 where we use the manifold. in that window so to speak. and pumping the throttle back and forth to keep formation. this window will start large as you get used to it and get smaller when you get close and comfortable in formation.
  17. latest add on module for DCs world, in basic terms, you can control various ground vehicles and command the battlefield through a simple User interface. boom boom. check the dedicated forum area.
  18. there is mouse view. L-ALT+ C. or hats on your joystick. through lua file editing you can change the speed things move at. there are snap vue functions as well. so you are well catered for without head tracking.
  19. yep, welcome here , its not all about vintage here although for some it is now it seems. the a-10 will show spectacular marvels in just how deep its digital systems are implemented. and ka50 will give you a shock course in how different russians percieve avionics and the rest... and simply deploying weapons all on all formats is just superb and in depth. The virtual tuskegee Airmen have a server predominatly dedicated to flying the p51. so pop along, and teamspeak too. and hope the copy protections woes get cleared, its worth it round here. ohh and not to forget to mention whats shaping up to be a fantastic 3rd party development "arena". microsoft maybe canning there staff, but here flightsimming is more alive and contextually correct and hopefully ED can take that mantle that once was in many areas.
  20. communicationss menu under p51D-Real. COMM Push to talk key, AND ! my alt \ although set, never worked. untill i remapped it and now its called OEM 12 key lol...... (Razer Blackwidow ultimate keyboard) for my warthog hotas throttle and stick, there is no option to assign the function as a hotas input :( that means the little box for entering it into is not available.

  25. i dont believe anyone deliberatly designs a hard to make ethos without a reason. simply put there is somthing that cant be done unless it by ED. given there ownership. lets look at nevada. and reasons for why why why... it can be interesting. but leads me to suggest that the system was never designed to have strictly 3rd party additions. on the contrary in fact. possibly. just my opinion. and another is that various aspects of all this 3rd party malarky are going to bite us in the ass regards general expectations at varying 3rd party levels. i cant see this wonderfull new scenery engine being used by lets say "me". it will be be saved for those worthy of whatever is deemed worthy.(BTW iam worthy :)) just like SFM and AFM. with all this chatter here and there ,its not going to be a rosey as we want it to be or are expecting it to be. so i expect many restriction regards 3rd party sceneries just as we will see with SFM /AFM.
