  7. thanks. impressed myself tonight with that effort. can i replicate it now i wonder. i think so and thats been my goal with such invisible effects in the design process, seeing it come together makes my jaw drop and i made it. just superb potential in this sim. now wheres that b17 that needs a metallic job ?

  12. dodgy polys indeed. ive been working on a new panels system graphically one that can aged & weathered dynamicly at various stages, sadly ive found even more little issues. doh! what i must say is im looking for better consistancy over the 4 templates that conclude the final effect where fine details are concerned. pixel perfect transitions please, more accuracy when splitting the initial uvw to the 4 texture plates.
  13. thanks for your input. i wonder who didnt like me suggesting that opinion fo general gaming was lies. i just wont accept any of it. voting with my wallet is all i have been left with as a customer of 1C. i was deliberatly manipulated into that nonsense that just happened. and why ? because i have a nack of hitting the nail on the head over there about the reality. i never complained about the bugs really, just the deep associations with why things were so inexplicably "Awry". with conclusion of my own, that i guess could only eat away at the very idea of there decisions being the worst ever they could have made comparitivly speaking alongside their intentions. ithe only thing i have insulted over there was the very fundamental principles at hand in multiple areas. its dirty and low and in exscusable now. that admin nearmiss tellling me to go kick my dog rather than post there is inexplicable in terms of betrayal of the very infraction laws he is obliged to moderate and uphold. granted i did retort with equal measures of offensive material via PM. good luck to him, he wont want to cross my path for he will recieve a true proverbial glasgow kiss of appreciation for sealing my fate there. lol anyway that really is the end of that. may their lack of my money seal their fates. that is what its all about at the end of the day. well for a company as such under a publisher as such. I started out with good intentions i really did. i did loads of modding work, i tried to be a positive part of it. and well ive never been banned from anything at all before. just disgusted. back to the sky blue forum where the air is fresh and breathable and a world of opporutnity awaits. yes thats my home for flightsimming banter.

  16. far be it for me to really know. but that request seems like... impossible. i just read this from a discussion on modding an old janes based sim. which seems quite a realistic scenario and adaptation thereafter seems plausible via using what we have got & "modern contemporary estimations". i know its old and not entirely related. but i dont think the actual information is really out there in any definitive form. or is it ? let me be corrected. the question is quite an old one. and the best answer some have come up with for the solution is to use what information we have about the mustang. note the german and british information is even harder to find. i know this isnt a help but i honestly believe contemporary estimations might be a better route. as there is without any doubt alot of guess work surely.
  17. understand your thoughts. a-10 systems implementation was worth those funds. actually very cheap i believe. but there is a joy in the analogous nature of the p51, the legend. the cadillac of the sky. whilst we have all payed for the lovely content that it is. its the FM, its the window into feeling just what it is in what is turning out to be a superbly competant sim in most areas that i believe i payed for. P51 is a sort of product test. for the dcs modules ethos. and also a chapter in the evolution of DCS alongside the modern day jet chapter and the crazy helicopter chapter. a proving ground if you will. and finnaly proven it is. well there a whole lot more chapters, but i see these as the fundamental ones. not proven yet i believe the A10 proves the avionics questions regards insim abbility. just need to take that further into the realms of true blind naviagtion with necessary systems. and im very sure that from your dream your having you will wake up relativly sooner than later. metaphorically speaking on day 1 of FSX one may have cried for an addon suitable. on day 100 we were laughing our heads of with glee at all the goodness available. the movement by microsoft to flight, and knocking out the succesful 3rd party system has left a huge gap, an enormous window, a great chasm of amateur & professional potential ! one that will slowly be filled in our choice of simulator. this is why DCS has changed. what perfect timing too. btw the addons you seek are for combined ops module addon for DCS imo. DCS:CO is not released yet. its right around the corner, youll see how worth it all this. but an expense it will be. in all realms of gaming, its this realm that should be well worth the expense it will be. bucks per hour is my background thought and in DCS theres no problems lol.
  18. hi pixel, i believe that single player tracks have to be manually saved, but those that are server derived, be it client of server are stored in your peronal files dcs folder.
  19. love your vids mac, had no idea one could push the bird that far.(and expect a positive reaction) im flabergasted at the reality of it to be honest. usually these things fall apart in sim world. so how good is it? does this go to show that some real modern aerobatic based planes could have a place in DCS with a very decent FM ? somebody, for the love of flightsims, wheres my pitts ?
  20. its just a grey scale heightmap passed through the dds normal map filter and converted to bmp. it needs bmp as dds isnt to sharp at these levels and artifacts etc. but i wont do that to fudge a fix.

  22. this was the last display of that new nmp file. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1488790&postcount=5556 yes thats an idea ive missed, whilst using completely blank textures for testing, i may find the issue via a completely blank nmp file. good thinking man ! sorry bout what i was saying earlier, but yeh were at such precise levels of discussing this bug as they are practically invisible to most. we get our wires crossed a bit, no harm intended. btw have you joined the front template to the back template ? i believe this is how this bird had its uv layout done, and naturally the templace creation. and due to that could be some errors via splicing it into 2 seperate templates !!! edit : problems still there with zero detail textures and nmp files.
