  6. brilliant, inspiring ! come on wolf sort it out ! or ill be forced to sing your theme tune to you next time on ts.
  7. nice diveplane. bit colourfull on the bloom, using warm HDR colours or have you coloured the bloom up?
  8. i have tried to give a feel of just how dynamic this thing is in movement with the metal and light and reflection. its quite a spectacle !!!! but no pictures will ever do it justice. and yes its a bit wonky, sides not complete where the multi channels are concerned, and iam ageing at this level because it has to blend with the metal. but alot of what u see there is actually a reversed channel =wrong. but gota find out how these work somehow right. enjoy. the first image is my favourite so far to me thats how it should look. the plane is metal, the reflection naturally is blue. feedback please.
  9. very true. im already starting to learn alot of bad habits !
  10. my pleasure
  11. well really i have not done that much on this cockpit, full credit to the original artists for that. its part of the woodwork for me now, it may feel cluttered somewhat, but itll catch the light nice. some might say its a bit bright in comparison but i was thinking it didnt really matter and the shadows still work their effect.
  12. thought id just chuck this out there just now, ive flown with it and not encountered any probs as of yet. so head to http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1456024&postcount=1
  13. ive uploaded my old cockpit textures to the mod section for anyone interested in dirty old warbirds of the aircraft variety. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1456024&postcount=1
  14. An interpretation (fictional) of an old ageing cockpit for the P51D not much else to say. enjoy. http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/181207/
  15. woopee \o/ just must rejoice in my consumerism today. msi GTX670 on its way \o/ good time to endulge with the new architecture managed to avoid the last 2 generations.
  16. with flashing lights on top !
  17. haha ok fair nuff. but but but, i prefer the essence of precision speed controll under the influence of needing to go faster. btw how much will prop wash affect the racing situations. will we have a slipstream style effect eventually? im really into this racing, please make some scenery content for it.
  18. ive been testing this today however theres no way in a month of fridays i can actually fly that course. so i edited the tracks for something a bit more simple, like nascar. hope that is ok ? whilst i have only been in the server on my own doing it, all seems to be good ! when i cross finish it tells next guy i got x amount of penalties. does the system youve made require more than 1 to trigger the fireworks or end of race etc, how does that go exactly ? also i see previous guy states he gets message upon error, i only get it at the end, i realise my editing may have corrupted somthing as im not familiar with triggers and stuff, etc i did simply move the towers and corresponding trigger areas only. conceptually i think to view 1 set of inner pylons for a circular course would be better. and leave the pilots room for safetys consideration
  19. DCs world first, then p51. your next aircraft from dcs should only require the plane update ,but there will be many updates to the seperate DCS:World aspect which may involve full updates(many gigs)
  20. strangely enough this evenings flying involved me taking off and landing in the dark of night. Perfectly. it was uncanny. heres a screeny of dirty ole warbird interior in the dead of night with my only friend the cockpit light! it took me many seconds fumbling around to find it as the darkness loomed over my instrumentation.
  21. <- Fixed logo for VTA. previously i could not spell.
  22. ok. but lets not do things by halves. people who cant multi channel texture should stay away from these shaders untill they learn a bit about it. I cant actually comprehend how you could edit the textures that way anyway and i just wanted to illustrate that whats been stated here was incorrect...... anyway i really like your style in the vids and do think a multi channel tutorial would be just excellent for folks, please consider. i can offer all my help if necessary.
  23. This is not how to edit the specular shaders. you have your file flattened, you need to unflatten and edit by single channel. and this is not how to edit specular texture either ! (mind you it could work, thats how i used to deal with multi channel texture shaders before learning multi channel) ok so to proceed. next to layers in PS goto channels tab. and work on only 1 of the 4 channels available (not RGB) then it will reveal a greyscale image that you work on 1 seperate texture per channel. these green and pinks arrive due to the visual blend of viewing the RGB (all channels) only. each R, G, B channel is treated and is an individual and read individually by the game engine. hope that makes some sense and only via this method can you actually create what you see in post #3.
  24. 670 review not 680, sorry (please amend title) now were talkin. http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-670-review/
  25. what what what, a template. gona be busy today. \o/ for those intending skinning specular files- You will need to edit on an individual colour channel. R,G & B, not on RGB. and DXT1 for file without alpha, and DXT5 for file with alpha.
