most commonly DDS file is used. i use photoshop so i use some of nvidia`s texture tools, DDS tools. some are using a program called DXTBmp, this will convert bmp to DDS and vice versa, it should also alow you to access an alpha channel. the alpha channel will only be used to knock out everything but that pilot patch , ie everything around it. -------- after that you will need to edit the decription.txt file to point to your newely created patch specifically

yeah i seen them, i loaded my plane up. wasnt going to hit anyone. i was just testing functionality as i had not flown for a number of months and first time in huey cockpit. (yes i should have done it in single player) i use my trigger for guns, and for radio trigger functionality with an extra key to define the 3 options. i was testing that id set it up right which fired me guns. TBH its not a problem. its just theres no public servers now for me to have some fun on. And well.... there aint no point in hanging around somewhere iam not wanted, The others in server doing the same im sure didnt get banned. good choice, you cant go wrong with it. I recently started flying again. p51 was smooth after 8 months away, i cant forget how to fly that. not possible lol. Got the Huey too and thats brilliant sadly within my first hour on the Virtual Aerobatics server on my first time in the huey i tested my radios functionality and fired the guns which they seemed fit to permanently ban me instantly for. nasty gits. so if your about flying dont make that mistake. (you know checking your joystick functions that you`ve just tried to setup).

The only thing that will dissapoint is the lack of game content and the fact the content will be loosly based upon their real world counterparts. Arma players never had it so good. irregardless of technology. Your 680 will serve you very well. and your peripherals will server you well. its not a flight sim though!. An ever broadening infantry simulator is what it is. mind you its soon to be implelented flight model is not so bad. The modding scene is supremely incredible. ok so would you like a free code to simply try it ? i can gift you on steam Arma3 Lite. a promotional version with same alpha content uttilising singleplayer only.

you have a confusing question that doesnt make sense. to add custom payload, add your choice via the mission editor. to add un common weapons/pods to the payload you edit the planes lua, example "A10.lua" the pylons will not need feed anything into a jet nozzle.

not really trying to make it metallic. it doesnt have powered reflection, and well its pretty overdone, no artwork just trying a powerfull spec on it. with some artwork it could look ok i reckon.

The day we get an apache in sim will signify a full circle for me, i only ever originally got into PC gaming 16 years ago to fly an apache in some sim game. seriously though. i would not need any other helicopter to satisfy any helicopter need i may have if and when we get an Apache64D. the holy grail it is for me.

well if you want the power cash has to be spent. the 6 series should come down in price if it has not already. try for a 670 if your wallet permits, and if not save up a bit more untill the wallet permits. that way you will get what you actually want. without compromise. (cash has to be the compromise here i am afraid- no other option). this sim deserves it, and demands it. when you simply expereince the sim as intended you`ll be a very happy simmer. ive done the reading at Tom`s hardware and you can expect twice the power if you upgrade to 670 from 470.

that is the best we will get i think. atleast its smoke functionality of some sort, for that im greatfull they allowed that.

Mustang does your sky and terrain mod include smaller sun mod ? Edit, i see its part of 1.2.3. by default now. thought i had kept re installing it. im going to try to build a mega mod with everything in it to see how far it can whilst being viable. if at all.

i think all these addons could have their sugar free variation. sold seperatly at reduced cost.(even supporting development of the full sugar version. even as part of the popular beta program around here). 2 for 1, birds stoned that is. as the sugar free versions come thick and fast, they could be sold via a bundle approach. at an after initial release situation that might be preferable for some. so you would get 1. lite version. 2 dcs version, 3 lite version as part of a bundle pack, ala flaming cliffs, (a bundle pack of SFM aircraft). which is adding a further sale point to the product. at the end of the day the work pilled into a full dcs title means to me there is no reason for a lesser version to be be ommited in reality. through this the scene could finnaly get away from the ubisoft tie and flaming cliffs. Edit: 2 or maybe 3 selling stages for 1 product. this is ultimatly important. And this intrnsicly has a great quality assurance program built in over the evolved product development stages. we get content faster, devs get payed quicker and financial support of the development, and well this place would be buzzin, what a scene that would be.

:thumbup: well thats funny you should say that, its the first time ive ever heard the fan on this thing(670). and i certainly heard it "farting" so to speak when the drivers were giving trouble.

past 2 days ive had, full system freezes, and what appeared to be graphics card overheating together with crash, non stop stutters and 10 second freezes with DCS. reverted back to 314 and just had a great nights flying. using a 670. for me there be somat up with them latest drivers ! :)
