Not being an expert by any means, I have an i7700k and a 2080ti with a HP Reverb and although I used to often see an unadulterated 90Hz from time to time I’ve left WMR Reprojection on since I’ve had the Reverb. Having it off was simply not an option. It’s been discussed in plenty of other places but if you insist upon having reprojection switched off then I would suggest at this stage of VR development, VR may not be the best way for you to go. I’ve long since stopped giving it any thought, I fly with the Reverb whenever I can and have a ball.

I’ve learnt to live with the ghosting with my Reverb, there is so many other things to concentrate on with DCS, there’s too much fun to be had elsewhere. Maybe one day everything will be perfected but it seems unlikely.

I literally just wiped the terminals and screwed it back together. I know we’re not the only ones who had problems with these, but that worked for me. Of course you could sort it on warranty, But for me thankfully it was a quick fix.

I had a problem with the left speaker, I unscrewed it (similar to the Rift) then wiped the terminals and screwed it back on, problem solved. I haven't experienced the second problem, sorry.

I know this question was a while ago but I’m also getting to grips with Laser guided bombs now, when I’m not using the litening pod, how do I know that the bomb can see the laser?

Yep, set at 90, doesn’t fix it though. Again, not a showstopper for now just less pretty while loading. It’s a great guide though isn’t it (VR4DCS.com)

I started getting that strobe flickering on load screens only as of a few weeks ago also. It’s irritating and would be great to get rid of. Having said that it’s never lasted once it’s loaded up. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

I’ll have another look through the background processes to see thanks. I’ll also check the SteamVR Log too, I’m guessing I could put it up on a steam forum and somebody might be able to interpret where the gremlin may be hiding. As far as OC goes I simply use the Z270 OC Genie switch in the BIOS I’m too stupid to go and do a full kosher overclock. It has been good enough for me but up till now although it has only been about two months since I switched it on. Incidentally, I don’t know whether there is any benefit to also switching on the XMP at the same time? (as OC Genie)? When I benchmarked the difference it was not measured but perhaps I’m missing something? In the meantime I’ll go back to default and see whether it persists. General crash advice please: I have started getting a few blue screen crashes (HMD only) a few seconds after tracking goes awry and following the blue screen I can still see DCS on the desktop screen with a note about SteamVR crashing. It seems to occur maybe after 30 minutes of play or longer. Obviously, I've updated all drivers but could someone provide some general advice on which crash log to look at (e.g. Windows, WMR, Steam/SteamVR) I know I'll have to get dirty here myself but somewhere to start would be helpful, cheers.

Thanks for that, I’ve looked into the FXO and metashaders2 files now and it looks like it would indeed be some low hanging fruit for ED to assist in performance improvement. I’ll have to give it a go when I get home. Thanks again for your help. It’s amazing how many things can be done to make small incremental improvements to VR performance. At the same time it’s a bit frustrating. I can see why a lot of people would just consider it all too hard. I’m certainly looking forward to native support for my Reverb. Thanks again.

This is new to me too, I’d like clarification about the process and if possible it would of course great if ED could in fact make this process redundant through an upgrade.

I think we’re on the cusp of a big migration to VR now, with big incremental improvements in technology, I can only hope we’ll be seeing lots of supporting gear to back it up.

Yep, I guess you're right. I am going to have to assume that the sales reps are guilding the Lilly about the inter-operability of the glove. I'm in Australia so I can't be bothered with shipping costs being covered by me for a US purchase in the highly likely event that it's a white elephant. Looking forward to something along these lines being available at some point in the future, not quite sold on the finger pointers yet. Thanks.

Can anyone provide some confirmation on this, I am emailing them and they’re saying that it’s working on all aircraft except FC3 aircraft. It’s an awful lot of money but I’m keen if somebody can confirm it works.
