  1. there is a bug that is fixed internally , hopefully, it will be in tomorrows patch
  2. Hey @Flappie any response from @gyrovague?
  3. @BIGNEWY & @Flappie is there enough info here for a bug to be raised ? The behaviour of the phoenix has definitely changed recently thanks in advance
  4. I have been seeing some very odd things with the Phoenix , and agree the phoenix A does not seem to be guided out of an STT lock and or goes dumb very quickly
  5. I have seen lighting and fanconttrol software do it.. .basically anything running in the background... depending on how your BIOS is set, yes it could be that too, Disabbling hyper threading was true with 9th gen and earlier ... i f you have a 12700k and are not over clocking it you have left money on the table
  6. My only other thought, is you gave a problem in your pc's environment, new software or updates outside of dcs, or cpu overheating or similar? And if you have any mods, remove them.
  7. I just see my fps not yours I don't disable 0-7 I just make sure dcs doesn't use them, windows processes tend to default to 0-1 for example, and other processes can the use 2-6 I don't see an perf gains beyond allowing dcs to have access to 4 cores for rendering and twon(the e cores) for io
  8. I use a 12700kf. and a 4090 when you see stuttering its likely to be a CPU problem... CPU Bound and Red is bad, CPU Bound and Yellow is "default", lowest FPS I got was 30 on the low pass.... it never dropped to 1-2fps (but 30 was pretty unusually low ) I allow DCS to use cores 8-17 which gives it two Efficiency cores try putting shadows to flat and turning off mirrors.
  9. I couldn't repo your problem per-say ( i could see it a couple of times when you switched to external views)... maybe try disabling TAcview, also the Phantom is pretty new... so it might be more to do with that, a lot of people have said the radar is a hog for CPU ... I also allow DCS to use 2 efficiency cores
  10. Windows 7(?j and beyond supports 128 buttons...(+ 4 4 way pov hats?) and 8 axis, so yes. Some old games don't support more than 32 buttons but dcs n7s not one of them
  11. typically dcs.log file and a track file from the mission... which can be found in your saved games directory <your username>\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks and same Path for Logs QQ do you have a pagefile set.. i know it seems daft with 64GB of RAM but i found some aircraft still require it ... i have a 64GB page file set even though i have 64GB of ram
  12. why just save the track at the end of the mission ?
  13. is there a switch to disable the browser ? Special Options - Heatblur F-4E Phantom II NVM found it
  14. about a 10% perf lift broadly ...
  15. I assume that it will be, as it is a feature.
  16. We don't know. However, we do know that after the Hawk by VEAO, that there were changes made to the contract to "mitigate" a developer leaving ... speculation of controls includes putting the "code" (which in other contracts i have seen also includes documentation and source etc... ) into escrow, so that in theory ED could pick up the development, in the event that a developer "leaves" someone else could pick up the code... That requires a big lift to pick up something that complex, and is likely to be resource heavy to get up to speed, etc... so it's not like putting a lego block onto a pile ...
  17. try reinstalling tacview it was working today i'm on the latest version of TV and DCS
  18. @Flappie, thanks m8, anything else you need?
  19. @Flappie Ok I give you three log files: 1) in 2D 2) in VR and not working 3) in VR and working with a reload (Shift R) i get the same MFD1,2,3 message both VR scenarios, though it is absent in the 2D scenario TCS working in 2D.log TCS not working in VR.log TCS not working and then working with mission reload in VR.log let me know if you need anything else
  20. they really are terribly useful for all modules
