Hello, Last year I edited a series of training missions set in Caucasus, for the FMA Pucara aircraft mod created by @pastranario3, as the Mod didn't had this type of mission. The Mod is still on its early stages of development and is still missing features, but it does have a lot already done, like Tacan and ILS equipment, only an UHF radio is missing. You can get more details about the Mod on this thread: With the release of Razbam's South Atlantic Map, my interest on this Mod renewed, and so I ported all my previous training missions to the new Map and released all 10 missions on this link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322944/ They are 10 missions in total, 5 for each Map: To use these missions, you need obviously the Pucara Mod, get it here: https://github.com/PucaraPastrana/PucaraDCS/releases This Mod also has a Discord channel, where you can get support: https://discord.gg/CFVSqkzY I'm also aware that there are DCS users that are put off by the synthetic audio on the voiceovers, but while I can read and write english fairly well, my spoken english is pretty awful .. you are much better off with the synthetic voiceovers, trust me Here is a series of video walkthroughs for each mission, that may help if you get stuck when flying one of them: If you find any bug while flying these missions, please report it on this thread and I will do my best to fix it. To go along with my missions, I also added an entry to the Encyclopedia, as the Pucara doesn't have one yet: Best regards, Eduardo

Hello, Back on April 2021 I edited a set of training missions for the A-29B aircraft Mod created by @Luiz Renault, three of which were included by Luiz as part of his Mod, then at version 0.1.8. However, over these two years Luis has kept updating and improving his Mod, to the point that these missions were no longer working correctly. So, I have spent the last month editing and updating these missions, to make them compatible with the latest version of Luiz's Mod, v0.5.2. On my YT channel I have a walktrough of each, so you can see how they are before deciding if you want to download them: M01 - Cold Start, Taxi & Take-Off This mission is set at Caucasus' Anapa airbase even tough the Marianas Map is more appropiate for a western aircraft like this, but back when I did the first version of this Mission, Marianas didn't yet exist, and changing the Map now would mean re-doing all the triggers, so I opted to keep the Map. M02 - Waypoint Navigation On this mission we learn the use of the INS navigation system of this aircraft, to navigate from Krasnodar to Anapa. All my training missions have background air traffic enabled, to aid immersion, and even if sometimes the AI have small accidents, I find them amusing M03 - VFR Landing & Shutdown On this mission we learn the VFR Landing in two variants: Straight Approach, and Circuit Landing. M05 - CCIP Bombing This mission teaches how to use iron bombs on CCIP releases, it provides two client slots, one lets the player start in the air, while the second has the player start at Anapa. This mission and the next two, require the use of a second User Mod: the well known 476th VFG Air Weapons Range Objects, which you can download here: https://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=287 In order to give the player feedback about his accuracy, the Mission makes use of @Ciribob Target Range Script, to provide reports like this: M06 - CCIP Rockets This is the same as the bombing missions, but using unguided rockets. It also provides accuracy report: M07 - Air/Ground gunnery This was a fun mission to edit, as I enjoy the aspects of markmanship that it has: That completes the set for now, tough I intend to add in the future one or two missions about the use of FLIR and Laser Guided Bombs. You can download the set here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329565/ If you find any bug with these missions, please report them on this thread and I will do my best to fix them. Best regards, Eduardo

Hello all, I am in the process of creating a mission where a bridge starts in a destroyed state and when friendly ground units arrive, the bridge will be restored/repaired after a short delay. Is there a trigger action that can restore map objects? For reference, this is on the Caucasus map using: Trigger: 4 MISSION START --> Action: SCENERY DESTRUCTION ZONE (*Bridge in question*, 100) To achieve the destroyed state at the start of the mission.

Some journalist research were posted about Russian Tu-22M3 Backfire's dislocation recently. https://www.radiosvoboda.org/a/news-skhemy-armiya-rf-aerodrom-mozdok/32471034.html While researching satellite photos I noticed some differences between planes parking places in DCS and IRL on Mozdok airbase. For example, some of Backfires were standing on aprons number 23, 24 and 25 (according to DCS numberation). Also, the very right spot, which is not marked as a parking place in DCS, is also used for Tu-22M3 parking. I made some graphics to comparise satellite photos to DCS screenshot. Also, I have some doubts about current status of parking spots with numbers from 32 to 39. According to Google Maps, it seems that taxiway, which connects them with main apron, is now cut off, and these parkings are currently used only for ground vehicles. Some parking spots, apron and control tower seems to be removed as well. Marked them with ? signs and arrows on picture n.2 If i didn't notice some more changes, feel free to correct me in this topic.

Hello drivers! Just want to announce that I have created an extended storyline of the original campaign Hornet 1989. I thought it was a great story when it was first released, however I believed there was more potential to it. So, I created five exciting new missions with the same ships, aircraft, and bases. I researched Soviet training doctrine and tactics to give CAPs in Soviet territory realistic response times and equipment used in the late 80s. Also there will be a tense mission to engage naval forces in ASW load out in Vikings and Hornets, as well as escorting CODs transporting the wounded from the previous campaign and this one to Tibilisi. However, to improve the realism in USN equipment, this will require the A-6E and Modern Military Aircraft mods. It will make sense once you start the campaign. Now the true issue I’m running into is copywrite. I do not want to commit intellectual theft for this campaign. I do not know who is the director of the original project, but if they can respond to this, I would like permission to use the title of Hornet 1989 and it’s contents before uploading it to the User Files page. Just something to contribute to the community, and honor the original work. I am happy to answer any questions you may have without spoiling the storyline. Much thanks to all! SGT Toffee
