  1. So, no official info from ED regarding that issue and Wags promise that it will be fixed for release?
  2. Yes, thats all cheating for me and thats why all those things are (as possible) turned off on our servers. We wanna fly a simulation, not a bit more accurate Ace Combat. But I never said that noboby is allowed to use it, just make the option to disable it serverside and everyone is happy, I have no problem with anyone who wanna use it in SP or on their server.
  3. It is a cheat, because the visibility of the ball depends of the weather and how good you are aligned. Once again, I have not the smallest problem to fly the ball in VR and also had never had it useing TrackIR. You can't compare two different things. Useing that IFLOS overlay is simple cheating because it makes something better visible. Its the same like overlay to see other planes. Which is also turned off in mp servers. Compareing that with pushing a button to salute doesn't help anyone. But simple solution: Add a option to disable it serverside and everyone is satisfied.
  4. Simple because its kinda cheating. Running the Odyssey+ and have no problem to fly the ball on 1 mile.
  5. It is, yes: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249770 Also you can see the desync on the swept wings of the Tomcat.
  6. NineLine, could you give us an update of the status of the decksliding / rubberbanding / desync issues with the Supercarrier release? Probably also about the issue that not all players in MP can see the same static objects?
  7. So the Supercarrier will be released probably on May 20th, will the decksliding be fixed?
  8. I hope it can be turned off server side...

    SuperCarrier

  10. It was mentioned somewhere else, that this false positives have been caused by a change in the copy protection. When you read how copy protections work, and what big issues they can create, you'll understand that this false positive is not seldom in that regards.
  11. Die Details kannst du sicher selbst rausfinden.
  16. So it will lilely not being fixed for the release, and we'll have to deal with desync, rubberbanding and decksliding for the SC release? Maybe just not as bad as we are used to at the moment? Well, honestly, thats bad news. Especially as Wags mentioned that fixing those issues is a must for release of the SC. Still thank you for clarifying.
  17. Too bad, I would like to have those different frequencies simulated too.
  18. So will there be no official statement from ED regarding those issues?
  19. You are right. Regarding realism, (correct) working systems, fixed bugs, communication between Devs and customers and also immersion other modules also aren't perfect. But while we talk about a "perfectness-rate" around 95-99% on modules like the F-14, the A10, JF-17 or F-18, we are talking around not even 70% on Razbam products. So you are right, its an "works as expected" problem. I really would expect from Razbam a module that has the same quality as most other modules. Because DCS stands for a realistic, hardcore high-fidelity sim.
  20. Any news on that issue?
  21. He never clarified if "a must" is reffered to the Early Access Release, or to the "Finished Module" release. I'm asking because it got silent around those topics. But those topics should be top priority for the supercarrier and the actual state is the same bad and bugged situation like months ago. But the Supercarrier should arrive in a few days. So I guess there is a reason to ask for the situation on those topics, and also how ED thinks to handle those. Why is it so top priority? - Would you like to drop from the deck while the carrier is turning? - We get 14 spawn locations, that means that those are very narrow. Would you like to get 10 player aircraft destroyed just because one guy is spawning? - Would you like to get all aircraft next to yours destroyed while taxi'ing, just because the wings are swept back for your RIO, but swept forward for you? - Would you like to guess if the static objects you are seeing, also can be seen by others? Or vice versa. - Would you like to see another player bouncing up and down, forward and back 10 meter during a trap as soon as he hits the deck with the wheels? - Would you still like to get sick as RIO in the Tomcat, as soon as the engines are started? I would rather see those questions answered in the Supercarrier FAQs then if the elevators will work in EA, or which weapon systems will be available during EA.
  22. Probably depends on the Headset, no idea why so many people have so many different experience. I use an Odyssey+ and can read every single letter in the F-14 and F-18 without any problem. Also the cockpit is smooth without any flickering and just a pleasure to look at. In the Harrier, it is impossible to read the warning lights right from the right knee. Also the whole cockpit is flickering a lot and many letters can only be read with zoom.
  23. I'd guess the physics for the bomb itself (from the point on you dropped it) is part of DCS, while the whole release cue and targeting system is part of the module. For having a realistic release cue with realistic inaccuracies, all parameters which are pulled for calculating the release cue would need to have random deviations. I know thatbzhe ARBS is also very accuratr IRL, but I would be more then surprised if those would be really there.
  24. Then you need to try harder. Its no problem to have a hit accuracy of >90% with FF Mk82 useing ARBS. Dead-spot-on. The ARBS is, as nearly all systems from RB, pure arcadeish.
  25. For sure the real Harrier is a blast. The DCS Harrier, unfortunately, isn't and is also far away from being on a step with outstanding modules like the F-18, F-14 or JF-17. The artwork is quite good and everything looks nice, although the cockpit is not really VR optimized (the F-14 has smaller and aged fonts which can be read much better). You'll have a lot of fun with it if you are new to it or doing not really more then take-off, fly around and land. Otherwise you'll recognize quite fast that the systems are missing many things, many things are bugged and many things just dont work correct. You can barely do anything according the NATOPS or Tac-man without running into problems. The deeper you dive into the Harrier, the more frustrated you get. Especially when you find something that don't work, look for it in the forum, realize that it is bugged since two years and that there has never been any comment from the Devs about it. (e.g. when the TGP laser just stop working without any reason or indication or the bugged since ever TDC slew) Or they just blame ED for everything broken. I know that this is very hard to judge for a buying decision, especially when there are lots of people saying how happy they are with it. So still the best idea is to read through the forum and then build your own opinion.
