No one is expecting every one of these to be put in the game. People are allowed to want their favorite plane in their favorite game and express that. Anyone on here could nitpick about your favorite airframes capabilities as well. The purpose of these threads is to have a little bit of fun and maybe find some people you share a common interest with.

I only asked cause I was arming my plane and didn't see the option to put harms on in the missiles menu and it seems like a suicide mission having to fly directly overhead to drop a bomb on a site. Also I haven't figured out how to shoot the maverick cause the hornet doesn't have the laser pod yet. Thanks for your replies.

So forgive my newbishness but it's not possible to do SEAD without the HARM and not risk/guarantee losing the aircraft right? At least in the stable version of the F/A-18?

about 20 clicks on the trim hat gets it really close for me every time. i just count them out. Might have to add on or two more to get it perfect.

not sure about the A-10 but in the f/a-18 you can cage the velocity vector and it will hold it in the center but it is then not an accurate visual cue to where you are pointed. It will add a small mark where the velocity vector is still actually pointing to. Maybe something worth looking thru the manual for your plane to see if that is an option.

if I were you I would try to replicate it and get a screenshot or a video. Has it happened since? I've not experienced anything like that.

They are clearly advertised as WIP and by purchasing you consent to the fact that you are ok with it being incomplete. If you aren't willing to endure the development process than it's pretty easy to just wait until it's finished. No one is forcing you to participate in an open beta program or to indulge on the chance to get into a new module ASAP. Trying to impose a rule on a developer to finish a module on your time frame is kinda self centered. I'm all for a developer to take as much time as they need to turn out the best product possible. It's this sort of attitude that consistently turns out broken unplayable disasters in modern AAA gaming. I'm not sure anyone who really cares about the quality/accuracy of this simulator is going to have the same opinion. I'm also not sure you really understand the amount of work that goes into making a game. Particularly one of this caliber. Maybe Bethesda could make a flight sim for you by next Christmas, I guarantee it would be a colossal dumpster fire.

Im trying to have a couple parked shut down hornets on my airfield. I did both of these and it just spawns in with the wings folded cold and dark??? Anyone ever have any luck spawning the f-18 w. pitot and engine covers on, and chocked up? Seeing as I don't understand how to "fight" in an airplane yet I'm having a good time in the editor playing around.

get the AOA locked in first... then use the throttle to"aim" where you want to land. Dont worry about where the e bracket is until the velocity vector is inside the bracket and stable. Then it's a simple throttle modulation to move the bracket vertically where you need to go.

Hi I'm trying to make a little private bombing range where I can learn how to use my weapons in peace. I'd like to make it where I can RTB and re-arm and just head back out. So when I start at the airfield cold and dark the ground crew is available and responds. When I RTB and land the option is no longer in the comms menu. As a matter of fact the instant the plane moves the option disappears. I followed the above instructions but no good. Can someone please help? I included the miz file. Thank you. Those squads are definitely out there though. I for one wouldn't mind flying in one but the only 2 I've found so far has requirements that someone with 2 weeks under their belt don't meet. Would be cool to fly in an environment that mirrored actual military structure and discipline. That being said if ED could provide even a basic dynamic single player experience you'd never see me in an online server ever again. Having clowns trying to land their helicopter on top of my plane "for the fun of it" while I taxi to active runway isn't quite the immersive realistic experience I was hoping for.

Hi thanks for taking a look. Can anyone recommend a dynamic PvE server with pilots serious about learning how to play dcs proficiently who act like professionals. Preferably one that is online as close to 24/7 as possible. I realize they wont always be available. Thought I found one but have had issues for two nights in a row with clowns breaking clearly stated rules and ruining my training/wasting my time. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

I'm new but i have a theory, I've noticed it happens to me too. Regardless of weather or not you get the dud cue the bombs require a certain time frame to arm themselves mid flight. If they impact before the time expires no boom boom. I dont know what the time frame is but it seems to be 4-5 seconds at least. I Notice if I really haul ass so the bombs need to release sooner it doesnt seem to happen. My newbness makes me want to fly my bombing runs slow so I can line it up nice and not miss and I think it's what is making the bombs hit the ground before the arm.

I suppose there is nothing wrong with it assuming you are ok with being a cheater. :music_whistling:

Game looks beautiful in all other aspects, my stupid OCD brain fixates on their imperfections. Its' so distracting for me. Thankfully I dont notice them when people are shooting at me:)

I think he's talking about the brightness controls on the right console for the instrument cluster, of which the HMD is not a part of. There is a toggle switch there to go from day/night/NVG

I used to play that as a kid constantly. I loved that game. It's $1.47 on steam right now. I just thought about it tonight and found it on there. Needless to say at that price i bought it instantly. It looks and sounds really fantastic. One more thing.....i find it disheartening noone has mentioned the Mitsubishi A6M Zero.....

*Solved* AllowGameDVR value set to "0" in regedit. Changing value to "1" has restored function of screenshot button. Not sure how this got changed but after much googling and hair pulling out I figured it out. Maybe this might help someone someday.
