While the P38 does get a lot of attention(there is one in every aviation sim out there) There is nothing really Special about it. Fixed :) sorry that was bugging me.

How about using DCS without steam? I bought A-10 through steam a long time ago before DCS world. So when World came out I just loaded it up to my computer and the A-10 key from steam transfered right over no problem. Sure you lose out on the steam things like chat and screenshots but steam is not needed for DCS.

I do hope ED can work it out so us backers can get the Dora in August.

I backed at 60 level ALPHA Tier 2. Everything at the $40 ORIGINAL level, plus a custom-designed project backer T-shirt, plus ALPHA ACCESS. I too see only beta. I'm sure it will get worked out.

Updates I wanted to post on this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=116272 but its locked. My thought is I'd rather wait a month or more for an update that can show us '44's progress. I don't care about a twice a week "we think we can do this" A once a month or more of "Here is what we have done" would be just fine. I'm sure llya is going eight directions at once right now. Give the team time to get it together, ducks in a row as it were and then I'm sure we will see some progress and some updates. Have faith backers.

If they could get it to the DCS P-51 level but "simulate" the extra hands needed to get it in the air and fly. Like an AI co pilot that could get wounded or killed making it harder to control the aircraft until a real live pilot jumps in the seat to help. Yeah it would be a huge undertaking but oh so cool. Like "Otto" :D

I'll chime in here, as a former CO of a il2 B17 squad when attacked we would close formation as close as we could. The tighter we were in our box formation the harder it was to get through our gunners. The head on 12 o'clock high was still deadly though.

Read that as well MP! I'd be happy with a Dora that can re-grow a tail..mine get shot off so much that could come in handy! :D

How about keep it as it is just remove the roundel behind it?

That's what I have been saying all along..put out the basic map and let the community map guys build the rest of it before game launch. That would save a ton of work for Luthier and company IMO.

In the kickstarter update: How will that affect map makers with the SDK?
