IDK....I think it only seems exaggerated because it's a computer simulation focused on a screen or in VR glasses. I live in Arizona, in the Southern United States, about 200 miles north of the Mexican border and just driving my car at sunset is awful. The same is true for sunrise, but I'm not a morning person. The glare that I see in game is no worse. I don't see much more glare than that in game. I would hate to be flying a real plane in these conditions.

Airplanes have very small tires in relation to the mass of the plane resulting in a small contact patch. They skid really easy, especially when braking from ~100kn or so. It's not comparable to a car. If you map your brakes to an axis, you can use saturation or curves to apply them slowly.

4 january 2023 DCS 2021/2022 and Beyond Video feature Updates?
rayrayblues replied to Dangerzone's topic in DCS 2.9
A proper pushback feature is more important and necessary for parking above or below decks. -

Mucha's Gracias amigo. V 1.08 did the trick.

Thank you sir. That fixed it. The Bronco and all other mods are working just fine.

null Even though my Bronco was working ok, I noticed that my game was loading slowly. I went ahead and removed the Bronco Mod and holy smoke! It's like I'm on the freeway now. It's a damn shame. I really like the Bronco and now I can't use it.

I have 3. Bf-109, Spitfire and I-16. Mostly for ground handling issues. They fly just fine but are all over the place when taxiing. I know I'm doing something wrong but haven't figured it out yet. Like a musical instrument, practice, practice, practice.

Have you done the usual stuff? Remove all community mods, do a slow repair etc.

Hmmm....my Bronco works perfectly, go figure.

Sounds to me like a A-10-C module problem rather than something system wide. Every post above mentions it. Just sayin'.....

Yeah Dude, I have to concur. Let's start with the obvious s**t first. COOLING!!. The 4090 runs up to 450 watts then it throttles down. Are you air cooled or water cooled? how much case ventilation do you have? Is it positive or negative pressure? The 4090 is the biggest and baddest card out there. I would expect it to run hotter. Check your power settings and fan curves and don't worry, it can handle temps in the low to mid 90's. I wouldn't be concerned until it reaches 100o, at which point the card will throttle back to protect itself. There are various ways that you can adjust power settings and fan curves. MoBo BIOS, MSI Afterburner, etc. How about the card's own BIOS? Even NVCP settings can make a difference. Start with the obvious. Bigger card = more power = higher temps = more cooling/ventilation. Make sure your case is not in a place that will block any airflow. Blow out the dust bunnies. Do whatever you can to reduce temps, but don't be surprised if you can't get things to where they used to be. As long as you are not exceeding 100o constantly, don't worry. It will shut itself down before it burns up. You might have to live with a bit more fan noise than you're used to. It comes with the territory. While you're doing all of that, don't forget to help us help you. Yeah, exactly. Give us as much info as you can. We're here to help, but you need to help us too. There are known issues with the PCI e power adaptors melting as well. Make sure that this is not your problem.

For WWll, you can drop cargo from the C-47, however, they de-spawn when they land. Oops, my bad. I forgot; this is a user mod called DC-3 Cargo. The vanilla DCS Version is called C-47 and does not have this feature nor even any other skins. There are other mods like C-130 and CH-47 Chinook that can drop paratroopers and cargo. Hardly WWll compatible. You are right. DCS does not offer this in any of their vanilla mods.

[DCS v2.8] New terrain lights system
rayrayblues replied to skywalker22's topic in DCS: Persian Gulf
I love it. The airport lights actually illuminate the aircraft. No more silhouettes. I can't wait to see this on other maps as well. -

It's been like that as long as I can remember. I've had this map since it came out. -
Upuart's and nibbylot's Bell-47 Version 3.0
rayrayblues replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Of course, after two weeks of trying to get it sorted, as soon as I sent the above post, I remembered that the UH-60 L mod causes this. I removed the Blackhawk and the sound on the Bell 47 returned. I put the BH back in and there is no more problem with the sound, (until there is) so next time I go silent, I'll know what to do. -
Upuart's and nibbylot's Bell-47 Version 3.0
rayrayblues replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
@nibbylot @Hawkeye60 @Dweeeeb Guess what? I have the same problem that I had back in March, (no sound) except that I don't remember what I did to fix it. Getting old really sucks. This is NOT a 2.8.~ issue. It's been like this for several weeks. Let me know ASAP what else I can do. Bell 47 no Sound.trk -

I was just going to say that. I never even heard of a SAM Assets pack so I couldn't open your mission. Odds are that this is your problem. Remove the SAM mod and try again. -

Yeah, that was me on Nov. 17th 2021 to be exact. Thanks for the bump. -
@BIGNEWY @NineLine @Flappie When landing on a ship, the Huey will not stay put. It always starts sliding forward. The Huey is the only helo bthat does this. I have tried every helo I own, including community mods such as, The Bell-47, the UH-60, the AH-6 and even the ES-350 Eurocopter, which also has skids. I reported this about 6 months ago and it still isn't fixed. Of course, it only happens on a moving ship. Static Huey's are not affected, only player aircraft.

I apologize. It's virtually impossible now a days to find You Tube vids without sensationalized titles and/or thumbnails. It's a never-ending battle for clicks, likes and subs even for legitimate vids. I guess it's just the nature of the beast. Once I got passed that, I did enjoy the content.

rayrayblues replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in General Bugs
I'm confused....why is this even a thing? If you're concerned about immersion well, you broke it when you pressed F2. In a real plane you cannot tell if they are turning or not? The only thing you really know is, are they up with doors closed, or down and locked. IRL you don't have an F2 button. I would even suppose that hanging out in a ~150 knot breeze while on approach may turn them a little. Enlighten me please. Why does this even matter?
