  1. Index 2 - instant buy. Hoping now for the DecaGear. Will know at the end of the year + 2 weeks
  2. Try to start a mission with a different plane, exit and jump in the T-45 and it should be working. Just a fix until that module might get supported.
  3. Could I please jump into it? Not started yet but the idea of an F-14 VR Pit is daunting me for a long time now, and I find me collecting more and more informations which might help me to make it true
  4. If the Index just had a slightly better picture I would sell the G2 right away... I put it up there wrong with inferior while I was thinking superior (language problem) but yeah, the picture is worth to keep up with all the G2 shortcomings (small sweet spot as one of the bigger problems for me) ....even through the 3 cable now, but I think HP Support is decent but also second to valve from my experience.
  5. I think there is a huge difference in precision of the vkb base compared to the warthog. I tried to remedies some of it by modding /greasing the gimbal and stuff of the tm stick, but the vkb is just way better constructed and precise out of the box than the WH will ever be. Yes
  6. I got the index and the G2. Just went back to the index to check again, especially after applying the reshade mod. Yes, the index is the superior headset, the tracking is second to none, same with the controller but.... The picture of the G2 is just better with lesser strain on my system. That said, I can't bear with the original G2 fov, but with a custom face mask, I come back to the G2 for dcs every time, for the rest.... Index all the way.
  7. Without knowing the Virpil....The only argument that would speak for said one is, that you can select the Sidewinder Station, which doesn't work for the VKB. Ever since I installed the VKB Stick, I never looked back at the TM. It's sitting in the corner now and collects Dust....such a night and day difference in performance....
  8. Thank you, that works like a charme. Gives me the feeling back again. If there is no haptic feedback while I'm under the HMD it feels just dead. Simshaker for aviator and the seat pad are just the next best thing after VR
  9. It's STT all the way since it is more of a fox 1 in that mode iirr
  10. That's sounds like the T-45 procedure With the TF-30 I would do it like that (not a confirmed real life procedure) : Engine in question in idle cutoff Select airstart on Crank engine select the appropriate engine Wait for RPM indication above 20% Engine cutoff to idle As soon as normal indication are obtained fly happily ever after
  11. On Stenis, if you are already hooked up, you need to run the engine up and give the Salut command, which will be somewhere in the keybinds.
  12. I found that the option has to be ticked / unticked every time after exiting dcs. Seems setting doesn't stick.
  13. Works for me at least in VR that is
  14. I wouldn't know....for the A most probably, for the B I doubt it, since takeoff is done in full MIL only. In that case it doesn't matter because, if everything is set up correctly, as soon as you hit the AB detent (aka full mil) Speedbrakes and DLC should retract right away.
  15. Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying.... English is not my first language DLC .... .wings auto 20 Deg, Flaps full down, DLC selected. After the Trap, DLC is supposed to be off, since you (hopefully) hit mil which would disengage DLC and Airbrakes. If your Flaps won't raise, you most probably have them jammed due to deploying them whilst still to fast.... below 225 Knots will be fine
  16. Ahm....the wings are folded back and thous the Flaps are raised, how are the DLC Spoiler are supposed to be up?
  17. Did you use active pause? I usually don't do, but been fiddling with Lantirn a little and need some time. After I came off the active pause...the cat stalled right away with no real way to recover. Since I, like said, usually don't use active pause, I didn't investigate any further. Might be a thing with you.
  18. I had this problem once. Somehow legacy motion smoothing (or something like that) in streamvr got turned on, which resulted in something like in the picture above.
  19. G2 is back in business. It was the cable, as expected. This time I fixed the cable with a little more wiggle room. Hoping for the best...
  20. AH-64
  21. There are two options commands "options" brings on the "radio" menu "jester options" brings the "jester wheel" Check if vaicom recognizes your "jester options" command.
  22. Get yourself a Warbird and try to master it You mentioned it yourself, coming from warbirds helps a lot, since your feet dance on the Rudders kinda subconsciousness. Other than that, it's said....rudder rudder rudder. You got the yardstring in front of you, which indicates if you are slipping and you got the "ball". Rule of thumb is: Kick the ball - means....lets say the indicator is to the left, you press the left rudder to keep him centered. As we are no real life pilots, it takes us forever to get this into the "memory" but it is worth working on it....
  23. That's exactly what I did, and it is the reason why it broke. I did the same to my index, even with the clip intact. I checked right away and see "bending marks" develop, thus I removed the zip ties right away and leave it as index decided it should be. I will never ever do it again on the G2, specially since the cable looks more flimsy to me than the one of the Index. Just saying...obviously you could do whatever you want, but I'm waiting for weeks now to get a replacement from HP and wasn't it for the Index I would be totally out of DCS and my Squad life for the time being.
