17 > 30 fps means even Rio Gallegos was improved... just not quite enough. I'm sure it will be a much smoother experience with your GPU. As for me... well, I'm happy the map is useable once again. Not all-around enjoyable, but playable.

Did a very brief test with the new patch (2.9.0.46801). There are solid improvements around most cities, including Rio Grande and Ushuaia. Both at close distances (moderate fps gain) and far away from them (huge fps gain). However, there are still places that massively tank the performance. Namely, Rio Gallegos that barely gives me 30 fps. An improvement from 17 fps before the patch, sure, but still barely playable. And that's over the 100% empty map. So, while I truly appreciate the effort, I wouldn't call this problem completely solved just yet. P.S. Enabling or disabling DLSS showed no meaningful difference. All shader caches were cleared.

Yeah, you're right. Just checked, and these lines are in the common DCS scripts; nothing to do with Heatblur. In the Hornet, I never saw a readback that mentions the approach button, so that got me confused.
-
This probably belongs in Tomcat forum, as this custom readback has nothing to do with the Supercarrier.

This is correct for the 2020 or so Akrotiri we have in DCS: Current charts for comparison (TACAN was moved in place of the NDB):

No, not really: better half of Jordan and like 95% of SA, including Tabuk, are outside of the detailed area. And you don't want a major airbase on the edge of said area, to avoid another Biggin Hill. The more airfields the merrier, of course. But expanding the already defined and budgeted detailed area is a huge step. It would probably be more suitable to a paid expansion a la Normandy 2.0, or to a midlife upgrade a la Cyprus if your map sells really well.

According to one of the devs, it's "DCS thing". They are aware, but no ETA for a fix.

Will there be any updates to Nedava ?

Some quality of life updates (along with fixing the remaining issues) to squeeze a few extra bucks out of it? Like adding the new lighting to the PG map which had been considered finished as well. -

Probably that ED has it canned. Seeing that this map hasn't been touched since 2021, he's not completely wrong. -
