  1. Shadow KT, you nail it man, thanks! A big update with many new features like the last one must have messed up with my settings. I did some tricks here with my vídeo settings too and now I have 60 FPS almost in every place of the new map. In time, I will let my settings that I using with my current setup. Unfortunately my setup dosen't hold the new SSAA, it makes the textures look amazing but with this feature ON, I only have 30 FPS. Let's hope for some optimzations. My current settings. https://www.imagemhost.com.br/image/wxhJ Thanks man!
  2. I would like to take this topic to ask you guys about what was going to help me in my case. My current setup is a i7 4790k@4.4ghz + 16RAM DDR3 + 1070FE and a SSD dedicated just for DCS World. Running the PG map above Dubai, I olny got 30 FPS, something terrible as I usually play with solid 60FPS above Las Vegas. In my case, what is the rigth choice right now, a 1080 or a 1080TI or a new CPU? I don't seek for VR or 4k, just stable 60FPS. Thanks:thumbup:
  3. Do a P-38L if you guys have access to a good source of manuals and information. Things like B-17, 24, C47 and other kinds of bombers and transports don't attract many people. It feeds only the nececity of some part of the sim consumers. Eagle Dynamics should do things that they really have information about it and above all that really going to sell. A P-38 variant will sell like the Mustang and will definitely bring more attention to the WWII branch of DCS World, but you guys also neeed to solve the DM thing... Yes, I know, it's WIP.
  4. Awesome! Everything well placed, good work
  5. You're not alone, I thought it could be some kind of EA crap. Can you imagine such thing on DCS modules? Someting like laser pods, 30 second shields and beyond.
  6. A nice source of information about CAS with the F-18C. https://www.amazon.com/Hornets-Over-Kuwait-Jay-Stout/dp/1557508356 Worth reading.
  7. Nice! I'm not a VR user, but you light me a lamp. I gonna do something like you did to protect these switches againts rust. Once in a while, I aplly WD40 to create a layer of protection, but it dosen't hold for much time. I live two blocks away from the beach so I have some problems with the effects of sea air.
  8. That's funny, I do not remember nobody whining about the labels on the Cougar stick. Personally, I find it very useful, since it's a stick that we, western virtual pilots, are not familiarized.
  9. WOW! This gonna be a new module. DCS World: Sightseeing. What a beautiful and impressive change. I'll mess around with DCS Combined Arms more often:joystick:
  10. Nope, for the Su-33 this "high gain" must be something related to give some extra steering for the front wheel that allows better agility while maneuvering on the deck of the carrier.:smilewink:
  11. Track Clip Pro NO MORE for me. Receive my unit this week and after some test and help from HAV I just can say that the UTC is way better than the original Track Clip, way more sturdier and works flawless with the TrackIR 5. Thanks one more time man!
  12. The problem is the 1.5.6 "optimization", theres nothing wrong with our rigs. I tried many times to get a better FPS with the 1.5.6 version but no effect at all. As a example, the traning mission for learning how to start the Spitifire runs for me at 15/30 FPS! I have a i7 4790+16gb+1070FE and a SSD just for DCS World 1.5 and 2.0, and just the 2.0 runs with a solid FPS. We just have to pray and wait for the 2.5 with the new techs and optimizations.:noexpression:
  13. I think DCS World deserves this award with all the honors!
  14. Man, you're almost at close range, I think that any kind of radar could lock a stealth aircraft if it's close like in this case. Also, do you remember that the Serbians was able to shot down an F-117 in 27 March of 1999? It's not "invisible" or impossible to be detect by radars, it's only more difficult.;)
  15. My friend have this monitor, but he don't play DCS World, but the quallity of image is very good. He plays I Racing most of the time, so the ultrawide monitor makes the difference for racing games. The only problem is when he turns the fan when it's hot on his room, the wind makes the base of the monitor shakes the entire unit a little bit.
  16. Im still holding my wallet to purchase the GTX 1070 G1, recently I picked one Vengeance Pro 16GB kit and things run lot better on DCS World and with other sims. I also have the GTX 970 G1 edition only with the facotry OC + i7 4970 and one 250gb SSD just for my sims and most of the time I have 60fps on 1.5 and NTTR 60/50 above Vegas, for me is more than enough. As some of the other guys said, you should try 16gb, really makes the difference, for sure.
  17. Sure:smilewink: With the MFG 7,5cm Warthog extension. And my whole setup Yes, I know, I need some cable management and also cleaning the dust of my desk:megalol:
  18. I've received mine yesterday and WOW, what a great piece of work of deutsch ingenieurwesen! It's way more confortable playing using this mount instead the old one that I was using before that doesn't allow me to change the height and also allows me to clamp it and dismount very easily, so nobody at home will complain anymore about bumping the leg on it. I recomend it 101%
  19. +1 and many others inputs. But we must be careful in asking this kind of thing here because it attracts some people that love to wrangle about "real level extreme realism OMG DON'T MAKE TOGGLES" :noexpression:
  20. Hey btd, after two updates, the Vulcan sound still messed up inside the cockpit. Does anybody confirm that too?
  21. Well, dunno if somebody already wrote this over here, but at least IRL, the Brazilian F-5 pilots don't start the right engine using the hot air produced by the left engine, it's prohibited, because of the high level of noise and they only do this procedure once during the training, just to see that it's possible. Not even at scramble.
  22. Limp Bizkit + one of the greatest DCS modules ever made =PERFECT COMBINATION. Great video dude, keep it coming!
  23. Yes, I asked the same question to a friend who's a F-5EM fighter pilot here in Brazil (1º/14º GAv "Pampa Squadron") and he told me that the F-5 is very sensitive with the ailerons. I showed him some videos from Belsimtek F-5 and he was impressed with the FM, even not having the chance of flying the sim one, he told me that the landing seems very similar to the real one. Even modernized, our F-5's still have the same flight characteristics of the non-modernized version, only the avionics (incluinding new radar and HOTAS), also some structural upgrades, apart from that they still F-5 Tigers, even the start up still the same since there's no space for a APU.
  24. And this is SO correct. I was talking with a friend that flys the F-5 Tiger II (modernized version and not the naval one like in the sim) and he told me that the Tiger is very sensible with the ailerons, so sensible that the first time that he made a barrel roll he hit his head on the canopy (he was flying the Super Tucano before ) Also, he said that the takeoff looks very realistic too. I showed him a video from the Youtube and he was impressed with the fidelity. Once again, Belsimtek did a superb job with this module.
  25. Yheaa, free ride  And some "fireworks" The damage model is so funny, please, don't fix it in the next patch, I'll try some other crazy stuff.
