Can't taxi - Using TM TFRP
Baldrick33 replied to Toni Carrera's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Ah well worth trying. If you fancy persevering the next step you could try is to calibrate each toe brake as just half the axis. I do this with an old CH Flightstick I have to use as an analogue brake for the Spitfire etc. In centre position the brake is off and I pull it back to full on. To do this you need to calibrate each axis (X and Y) in DIView. If you right click in the axis and view raw data, then right click again and click calibrate you can set min, centre and max values. I think it should be setting max to half of the top red figure and centre in between. Below is how mine is set. Once done when you press the pedal the black triangle should travel the entire range and the red just half the range. You may need to fiddle with the figures to get it to work (e.g. min half of max) if it is the wrong way round. It sounds more complicated than it is! -

I am pretty sure the issue is the pedal axis, they are showing as having a centre position like a joystick. -

Do your pedals have a car/flight switch or similar? The X and Y axes need to not be centred. The alternative is to set 50% deadlines or saturation to remove the unused half axis in DCS Or recalibrate in diview so that only half the axis is used which will save you having to do it for every module in DCS -

One option is to try using DIView to see how Windows is seeing the calibration. It is a useful tool and you can tune the calibration directly. http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=page&id=12 scroll down and download diview.zip -
I think You should just need to WAS the gun which gives you control of it and make sure the weapons trigger safety is off

Those need to be mapped as sliders, when the brakes are "off" you have half the axis as input (so half on). Set both wheel brakes as sliders and check the pedals graphic if they need to be inverted. -
You could also edit an instant action mission to make it air start. I have attached the runway start one, in the air. AH-64D_IA_CAUC_Air Start.miz

I have had a number of headsets and currently have Reverb G1 and a family Quest 2. The Quest 2 is a great all rounder if you want to do wireless standing stuff as well as seated sims but if it is primarily for DCS I would also recommend the G2.

I haven’t had an issue but I haven’t been using the trim at all. Probably not the right way to fly it but would explain why I don’t get the issue swapping seats!

When you say you don't need to use George, how do you have it set in Special Options for the AH-64 and George AI Auto Handover? If it is ticked then George will start piloting the aircraft when you change to CPG seat, you just need to tell him what to do using the AI helper if needed. Unless you request to take control. Then when you return to Pilot seat you will take back control. Maybe the switch between AI control and your control is detecting a change in controls positions?

I wasn't that hyped for the Apache, I thought it might be too much of a flying computer for me but I find it far more intuitive than I thought and can actually blow loads of stuff up after just a few minutes! I play exclusively SP and jumping between seats and using the AI from either works very well and it feels great in either seat in VR. So I have switched from being a bit cold towards the hype to thinking this may be a milestone in combat flight sim development.

No, mine works perfectly! I think you just need to create a folder called temp under Saved Games, move all your other folders currently under Saved Games to under temp. Then rename temp to DCS.openbeta

I did the same but I have a folder under Saved Games called DCS.openbeta and all those folders you list above under Saved Games are under that DCS.openbeta folder including another DCS.openbeta folder

My ASWD George keybinds are missing!
Baldrick33 replied to Avenger31's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
By separate I mean the AI has its own control set like the pilot and CPG do. Are you saying the AH-64D George AI Helper control set selected from the drop down top left no longer has these bindings available? -

My Joy2Key mappings for the TM Throttle. I don't use a keyboard for controls so I am free to use all the keystrokes for my throttle. This is a relatively simple approach. I just use the option in Joy2Key to have a keystroke on press and another on release,
-
Some modules have an on otherwise off bind for some functions but typically not. I use Joy2Key to map on and off to separate keys, it can also be done in the TM TARGET software and other third party tools like Joystick Gremlin. I believe that on otherwise off binds can be added by editing the controller lua files but that is getting a bit advanced for me!

Confused as to button assignments for the pilot/CPG
Baldrick33 replied to sobe's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Yes you can. I saved the individual controller profiles in the Pilot controls and loaded them in the CPG controls. -

My guess is the Windows Installer has got stuck believing it is installing something. Possibly a pending windows update. If not and If rebooting doesn’t fix it then manually killing the service and starting it again may bypass any startup process that is reloading its state. Click on start then run and type services.msc to open the services screen, find the windows installer service and stop and start it. Worth a try. I think it is a Windows Installer issue rather than the SSA program installation.
