  1. I noticed something when I was once playing some Glitch mob along with the intro/trailer for hitman sniper challenge. Just like a rythm/beat in the music...there is a beat in the video. The video should move at those "spots". If it does...it makes it seamless. If not, there is an innate feeling that something is not right. As mentioned by some others here: 1) You spent over a min showing the guy hittng the ground...got pretty boring. You need to show excitement....a ramp up of some sort..aircraft on taxi/runway..or some action..good flight scenes....good camera angles. 2) 1:29...the eagle pilot ejecting..did not make sense...jet did not seem damaged or anything. 3) 1:33....the chase scene is fine...bbut too far away...u need to use CTRL++ key to zoom in to get a good view of jets in action. 4) 2:00 missed opportunity...good shot of flanker...just camera angle misses the action...can't see the whole plane well at all. 5) black shark part was pretty good...but repeated..too long. you could have 10-15 sec of shark shooting/a-10 shooting/JDAM/su25/Su25T/a-10 gun run..... I remember GA's stuff back from when he started...his productions are at a different class now. Those take a while to make. But it wasn't like that at the beginning. They get better in time...so don't be disappointed and just keep playing with it. Timing + angles make a good movie. These are ones which producers like GA shoot for. for example... one of his good ones...watch the timing of video/music : one by locsta: But there is another form....ones like back in the day..BCRLocsta used to make...Tales of the fallen pt1/2...if anyone remembers..LOMAC movies...those were based on a story line. A different rythm AN example of a more story based movie by ED themselves... : Hope that helps
  2. Both were good.. music better though. The trailer still feels very limited compared to what dcs offers. A lot more flyables with a whole range of mission types..a2a, a2g.
  3. I think EDGE might warrant a version 2.0? with all flyables.. Su27, 33, Mig 29 AFM and 6dof cockpits. ;) More realistically... flanker AFM with 1.2.9 would be fantastic. Although..I think realistically it might be atleast 1.3.0.
  4. That is just awesome. :)
  5. yup! try W to brake and it will work while AXES will not. The brake axes for all DCS aircraft need to be inverted. You can use "CTRL+ENTER" in cockpit view to see the axes raw input values and it will show conical bars which identify the need for axes inversion.
  6. Yup! Install the new 2014 version of driver. Look for TM firmware update in programs and update it.
  7. Remember that munitions and damage modelling of ground units isn't modelled to the level as the aircraft themselves. I think its impressive enough that the collision box of the new generation of DCS aircraft are made of "components". A round can pass through a cockpit killing the pilot while leaving the aircraft in full function. Also...isn't the cockpit a titanium bath tub like the Su-25 and A-10? so any blast should be contained in there. I think modelling an explosion in the cockpit and the dynamics that would damage a "single" console responsible for engine power etc is just overkill. I think we would rather benefit from ED implementing something like havok to upgrade the damage models of objects...better special fx for the EDGE.
  8. Thanks a lot. Makes a lot of sense why picking the right weapon is important. I have many times been frustrated when I don't see an intended effect on armored vehicles upon using munitions for soft targets.
  9. Glad to hear. It would be nice to see a true comparison of pre- and post- update. So if someone has too much tome... lol... maybe a quick before and after would be truly helpful to warthog owners.
  10. Its accurate...the mig 29 has very smokey engines.
  11. If it is you Dima.... chop chop on the flanker AFM. Can't wait. Lol
  12. I upgraded as well.... didn't fly a lot to notice much differences. Might be a placebo... but did feel that the slew control was better and more accurate. But once again may have been a placebo effect as that is my major and perhaps one of only a couple or so complaints about the warthog.
  13. I hope ED corrects the tree and static object sizes. Trees in DCS world seem out of scale compared to RL or even other engine renders like outerra.
  14. I understand...it wasn't complaining...but more so a suggestion. Similarly, the dust kicked up while low level chopper flight/flight is almost like a plane in some angles...not volumetric. Here's hoping edge brings us some new special fx which are more efficient and gpu based.
  15. Looking great...but the water still seems too flat. I know at one point there were some experiments with a new water render which looked amazing but ED removed it due to performance issues it was removed. It would be nice to see some stormy seas, the ships riding the waves etc.
  16. Omg... those trees in uniengine look great. I think dcs needs trees at real scale compared to aircraft.
  17. Did u try using W for wheel brake? Did u invert the axis for wheel brakes? I found that on default, when depressed, the brakes are actually off. "CTRL+ENTER" in cockpit view and viewing the axis inputs is useful as well to get a gauge of the braking. But yeah...I am having issues of running out of runway as well when using pedal brakes. But with "W" I can stop.
  18. Yup... hard to keep the speed constant and I suck at maintaining the right altitude... so at last moment...i feel I am either too high or too low... drastic correction and I basically bounce or bust my landing gear. Lol
  19. Thanks for advice guys...yeah getting the hang of it...but sometimes staring at aoa too long means I overshoot on speed. But a lot of fun nonetheless.
  20. Just to add to this thread, I agree...ED you have outdone yourself with DCS WORLD 1.2.8. Even in beta its fantastic. Great job with the new cockpits, the fantastic new TF-51D...a blast to fly....and most of all the PFM for F-15C. OMG its amazing. All I literally now do is just make a custom landing mission and just land the plane... and try to see how fast/how hard I can approach. I then change the aircraft to the Su25/25T and see how much easier it is. But yeah...can't wait for the Su27 AFM. But if this is a sign of things to come.... just fantastic work. You guys are truly the best at making flight simulators. The attention to everything is top notch. It has taken a long while to get here....back from when I started with flanker 2.0. Been here with every iteration...but I think the flanker AFM will be a fantastic homage to your roots. :)
  21. I agree...probably... among the best looking cockpits handsdown in any game. I think even till now, the Su25 vanilla cockpit is the best looking cockpit in DCS world. This definitely rivals it for the artistic care. Just a bit of extra getting all the details right...very very well done. Looking forward to buying it.
  22. It works fine in most cases, but I guess in complex issues..especially if you have checked...synchronize controls with HOTAS at beginning of mission in options, sometimes it goes all haywire. But I personally have found it is alright. Although...the whole training system.. triggers are also broken. I was flying through the new 25T training missions and missing one "gate" in a particular "approach" for the autopilot modes training & the dumb bombs training broke the lesson. In track playback..I have had issues of the bombs falling short etc.
  23. After almost 10 tries since 1.2.8 released...on various days :p The eagle has landed without gear damage. :D
  24. Also...how delicate is the landing gear of the F-15C? I understand that russian aircraft have a very robust gear....made for the field, but I can land the su25, t toad, A-10C, but whenever I land the F-15C, the gear gets busted...."both opposite gears face inwards"
