Why do servers forbid Tacview ACMI file recording?!
pappavis replied to Alexrey's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Its possible to record a track in realtime, without the need for replayig a trackfile. 1. Ensure that tacview.lua is in your 'export'-directory. 2. Then append this code to the end of export.lua dofile("./Config/export/tacview.lua") VOILA! No need to replay a 1,5hrs trackfile coz its TacView recording as you fly. No i dont use it for cheating, though that saves me a lotta time. -
How about including South Africa in Black Shark
pappavis replied to Zulu's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Zulu, go check out Lockonfiles, there is a Suid-Afrikaanse Lugmag Su-27 skin uploaded. -
Savegame, like OFP? How can i savegame in ArmA at my convenient moment? In OFP one could hold SHIFT-KeypadMinuskey and type SAVEGAME to save. This SAVEGAME doesnt work in ArmA!

SIMHQ`s DCS: Black Shark Preview Report #2
pappavis replied to EagleEye's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
He said that its possible GLONASS though thats (apparently) in RL not 100% available yet. How is it taken care of in the DCS? How are the line-of-sigh of GPS/GLONASS determined bcs in RL my handheld "Garmin Nuvi" carnavigation can aquire satellites while held on the backseat with little outside view. -
When i switched over from M$ FFB2 to the X52 that was quite an adjustment in missing the shaking and rattling of the stick. When Saitek someday adds Forcefeedback to a future X52-alike product the fun of the real deal would be greatly enhanced in its virtuality.

I rather prefer the real thing no translations. Thans to LOFC which :helpsmilie: very much to improve my russian language abilities.

Getting exact the same error as you. I tried to copy the files to disc. My Russian language "Lockon: Gorjatjie Skaliy" CD #1 gives an error: cyclic redundancy. My next move was to try resintalling which didnt work, coz the installation stops at copying protect.dll, after a while the installer stops and quits. I then start lockon.exe which then produces error window about "lockon.exe abonrmal program termination". I havent removed the disc from the CD-drive in 8 months time. My other games are all digital downloads via Steam so no need for me to change discs. Physically the LOFC disc looks perfect, no scratches or such. After having reinstalled windoze and then double-clicked the lockon.exe, starforce asked me to reboot the machine. Then, lockon.exe clicked again and after a while starforce gives up. I then followed this thread trying to copy the files, no use. I saw LO Gold for €29 and dont wanna pay again coz i already bought LOFC twice before: the download version and the russian CD-version. The english download-version is installed on another machine. all help /advice appreciated.

, these producers notes sure helps us to get up to speed in our Ka-50 qualification. likely now all of the LOFC world are attempting downloading the vids. Cant sum1 mirror host the vids? Mine goes at friggin 5k/sec usually i get about 450k/sec downloadspeed.

DCS: Black Shark - Q&A **READ FIRST!**
pappavis replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Steam for digital distributions? Digital distribution method. Have ED considred using Steam? It should provide some copy protexion whereby we wont have any Starforce hassles. In addition, the exposure to Steam-users could boost populairty and address a new market. -

Huh, is BS gonna feature some super mega russian devouchki? Then its true one can order them by airmail :pilotfly: ? -
The WZ-10 have a weird resemblance to the Rooivalk -- a South African born, bred, developed attack helo. The Rooivalk has been in operational service with the Suid-Afrikaanse Lugmag for a few years (from 2000?).

Many of our squad are into Armed Assault which certainly is a big hit with the Lock On community as well. Bohemia Interactive (developer of ArmA) was kinda cash strapped they apparentley released ArmA while it still had some bugs.. with the sudden sales they manged to fairly quickly release bugfixes to which ArmA is veryt good. I dont know any bugs in it, do you? That doesnt mean that we want LOBS to be released in a unfinished state. The financial situation of ED is none of my business. Even if they do release BS in its current state (with warning: some parts may be incomplete) many ppl certainly would buy it. That way i contribute to a faster release, and can have some serious fun.. WEe all know the whining and screaming when LO1.0 was released. We dont want that to happen. Which is kinda what happened with ArmA as well.

much nicer would be if ED could allow tool developers to use Lo-Mac API to create, import/export missions which would aid in the ability to have some form of dynamic campaigns.

When do you think they will release BS
pappavis replied to destruct's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
By the last 24-jul-2007 update a lot of things will need more testing. A release before Dec-2008 is highly improbable. -
Black Shark Update, 16 September 2007
pappavis replied to Wags's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I was working on a feature to enhance the mission editor but seized coz i got stuck.. However Jabog_Zillion was well on his way with creating decent mission editor (http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=13156&page=4). He stopped working on it, just after some remarks from ED. Makes me wonder what why he stopped dead in his tracks on that mission editor :music_whistling:.
