  1. Not as a full, purchasable module
  2. Y'all are barking up the wrong tree. Once 2.5.6 hits, DCS will finally have the horsepower to handle this BEAST
  3. And puts the "close" in "close air support"
  4. Don't worry, it'll have a full clicky cockpit
  5. Makes sense, but "use in training" doesn't denote "training aircraft",there is a difference.
  6. If they were reused from training, then only half or so of the aircraft would be usable, not accounting for maintenance attrition, unless the other half of the aircraft hurriedly received stripes as well
  7. In all fairness, he could've been referring to a different set of stripes. Here's another mention of the 68 invasion
  8. U mean these stripes? To identify Soviet aircraft in 1968 Czech invasion is what I found
  9. That really belongs in the deka corner of this forum, they are perhaps the only ones with the answer. Im not confident we will be seeing an update on stable till the end of feb, i imagine. Perhaps then? Ive been asking the same thing and no answers have been given
  10. What update? Previous post is from 2018. Did I miss something?
  11. Not to mention finishing two maps, some under-the-hood stuff, MAC, and finishing the yak-52 (although I have a feeling sales figures set the priority for finishing that)
  12. i almost mentioned HB , but the jester AI seems to get floated for every crew-served acft. it may be polarizing, but i really dont mind the gazelle. its the most fun of the helos, and i dont mind flying by the copilot/gunner seat- i think that could work just fine for the apache- when in transit portion of the mission, fly from the pilot seat, when in combat do so from the gunner position... who knows what ED is brewing up for the hind. maybe theyll have a mechanic better suited for attack helos than jesterAI the only complaint i have of EDs trailers is the use of cover music...)shrug( i can watch in mute
  13. I suppose that could be fun, if MP was your thing. I'd like to see an early -A model, unmodernised. With or without any MP functions
  14. I'd like to see a plain Jane early model rather than any of the specialized variants, but then I could think of plenty of other helos I'd like to see before that
  15. judging by the forums, no market is less coherent than the DCS one
  16. (so no one has to jump threads):in other words, hopefully sometime in the next 47 weeks. probably.
  17. Ill try tonight if i get a chance. I only fired up dcs last night to verify my gazelle keybinds and make a few tweaks to other modules. Didn't bother firing up the vr and fly anything
  18. you could always uninstall & reinstall, see if that clears up something that may be corrupted. is it just fa18, or any other modules as well?
  19. i dont recall patriot being in afghanistan in 2007-2008, and IIRC the last patriot units were out of iraq by late 2004( i was there as a TCA in A/6-52). i know we were in kuwait and a handful of other countries, but never heard of any units rotating in&out of afghanistan. I was in 3-4 adar at the time, there was no air defense mission so the BN had been reconstituted in an MP unit structure, as we had air defenders being used as prison guards. unfortunately i missed that deployment as i got tagged for recruiter duty, and USAREC is at least one echelon above god, sometimes it seemed. returned to kuwait 2010 for a rotation as a PMG with B/4-5. you sure it was patriot? its typically behind a berm, not on top of it. C-Ram or Avenger may have been, i believe JLENS was there, and while staffed with air defenders, cant be confused with any weapon system
  20. looks like the problem is on your end. i just fired up fa18 (and a few other modules) and verified both axis assign and axis tune still work- they do. the only thing i didnt try was verifying from vr, but i anticipate it wouldve worked fine
  21. dont know what to tell you, like i said, my camera is mapped to the hotas. OP asked about drift, and my suggestion stands: map the samera like i did and increase the deadband if necessary. thatll stop the drift
  22. I'm on stable, I can check when I get home from work
  23. All military vehicles are new or come out of rebuild/recap at some point. I remember seeing equipment fresh from the OEM, even pulled plastic off hmmwv seats and got a sniff of that new truck smell, I've seen interiors of truck mounted shelters that looked relatively unused compared to their age. Not everything out there is beat to shit. A lot of it is, but it's not unheard of to see something new.
  24. Are we talking about the same camera ? I'm referring to the following controls (under axis mapping, video command box) Slew left/right Slew up/down They control the screen used by the copilot/Gunner and can absolutely be mapped to an analog stick on the hotas enabling you to control the camera on the fly regardless of hovering or being in motion
