  1. See the round analog control on the right front of hotas? That's where I have camera mapped to as an axis. No 2nd joystick necessary
  2. I'd have to verify, but I never checked any option for 2nd joystick enabled. I went to map controls>set axis assign> there's 2 axes to map for the camera, pan and tilt....may be listed as x& y> I used the analog stick on the front of my hotas, mapping out both of those axes onto it. Axis tune allows u to increase the deadbannd. I have zero clue what you're talking about binding two controls to once, and using cyclic- sounds like you're overcomplicating things. Using the analog control on the front of my hotas, I can fly from the pilots seat, and still control the camera with my index finger. I use that same analog control for schval and tdc controls on other acft
  3. If OP has the camera pan&tilt mapped to an axis (like an analog stick on the hotas) then he can go to axis tuning and set a deadbannd for tilt. That would get rid of the drift
  4. Aim high, shoot quick, hope for the best
  5. Im sure it works fine for you, but i mentioned for us vr pilots- the 3d asset is only usable in two acft for some reason, and popup window doesn't work in vr, which is fine-i really wouldn't want it to
  6. Yea, i meant ah-1, forum posting by phone presents its own challenges, yet the uh1 -starting with b&c models - also work, but without the "attack chopper look"
  7. Yea, the uh-1 was there to put big smoking holes in stuff before the ah64 came around
  8. Kinda reminds me of when I was in the army: what's the seating capacity of any military vehicle? "One more"! Didn't matter if you had people sitting on top of people sitting on people, you can always squeeze in another. Frankly most of the time I'm not concerned when updates hit stable. When they come, they come I just wanna fly my Jeff, and I'm sure by now it's established there's no game-breaking bugs. They gave us a little tease before, and my module manager has been rubbing it in ever since, alerting me all the time that the Jeff is ready for install
  9. I had forgotten about that. After i went to ricardo blue, i kinda forgot all the things that irritated me about the old pit till i tried it again. Look, bs3 overhaul may have better textures that original bs2, but unless a blue cockpit option is included im keeping my current cockpit mod for as long as it still works
  10. Will stable get one last shot of love before rollout of 2.5.6 for OB, or will it be another couple weeks for us?

Don't forget, in addition to using it to spray your dcs crops, it served as an unwieldy bomber/ gunship
  13. Yea, I'd rather see the ah-1, especially Vietnam era variant ,but I know the Apache has a broader audience, especially with oh58 on the way
  14. I'd like to see Vietnam, northern Persian gulf (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq & Iran), and cuba.i know Cuba is the least realistic of the 3, and has an admitidly small audience, I don't care, I just wanna fly Cuban air Force, and short of getting an Angola map, that's my only chance
  15. coulda saw that one coming, BVR
  16. I have heard someone mention elsewhere that they found the players on stable multiplayer stable to but fewer, yet friendlier than those on OB MP, and while I can see things being a bit more cutthroat there , I can't verify myself cuz I don't do MP, but I suppose in a very broad, general sense it could make sense, I can picture distinct personality types gravitating to one or the other...but this is just the secondhand recollection of someone else's subjective experience. Take it with a large grain of NaCl
  17. I prefer stable. I don't do MP, and I have such a backlog of equipment to master that it doesn't make much difference if I get a feature now, or if I have to wait for it a few weeks. I really prefer to get fewer, yet much more substantial updates with everything working as it should. There's also the minor annoyance that whenever dcs updates, I have to find and delete the lifebar files for the uh-1, so fewer updates means I have to do that less often That being said, sometimes- particularly when you're waiting for an EA aircraft- it seems the updates take quite awhile. Took awhile for the f-16 to come to stable, and no clue when the JF-17 will. If no stable update now, then have to wait till after OB gets 2.5.6 , and then some.
  18. I prefer the devrims English cockpit mod, using Ricardo's blue pit. Makes the gauges much easier to see in vr
  19. Gotta wait till october
  20. +1 I'm glad I made the break from steam. Wish I did a long time ago, I missed out on a lot of miles by buying thru steam.
  21. Yes, but it would be nice to see the 3d asset implemented for us vr users who do have the gps
  22. That's a pretty d*cked up attitude, we're all here for our own reasons & ED does a pretty good job of accommodating as many as they can. If, in addition to being a sim, this wasn't fun at all thered be a lot fewer people here- who wants to devote hours of free time to something they don't enjoy
  23. This aircraft is a perfect match for ns430 (specifically, 3d version for vr users)
  24. Early Access denotes level of completion rather than age of the aircraft module, and alongside the f-16, the f18 has been seeing plenty of updates lately to bring it closer to completion
  25. theyve got about as much mission scope as plenty of aircraft in DCS- uh-1, and mi-8 = carry stuff around or act as a slow gunship su-25, a-10 = blow up stuff on the ground and not much else pretty much all the warbirds = also known as neanderthals, only good at gunning each other, except the tf-51 which is only useful for getting shot at yak-52, CE2= good those deviants who wanna fly civil aircraft in a combat simulator for some strange reason FC3 aircraft= good if you absolutely, positively hate flipping switches and pushing buttons Mig15/19/f86 = good for people who can't be trusted with pointy objects, or care whether the terrain below makes their aircraft time travellers (Normandy map) or modern day relics (all the rest of the maps) if youre not concerned with being part of the multiplayer arms race, the smaller trainer/light attack aircraft are useful for COIN/CAS ops for countries that cant afford the high dollar aircraft and dont want decades old clapped out hand me down cold war aircraft. some weirdos like me gravitate to the odd and unusual they can serve as a change of pace from f-14/16/18 et cetera also, consider the learning curve for new pilots- if their first foray into the sim is something like the f-16/f-18/a-10 , it may be a bit daunting - or an enthusiasm killer- especially for someone with limited time/energy to devote to this- they may want to learn an aircraft, but have too many commitments elsewhere to really dedicate themselves to a complex acft, a trainer/light attack acft is a good place to start, and for good reason personally, i think the yak-130, boeings t-7a, alenia m-346, the alpha jet, the k-50 all would be neat aircraft to fly, but I fit into all the groups above
