It seems to me raz has really made a concerted effort at but squashing lately, and personally I don't mind partially completed mods- I have such a backlog of content & systems let's to get the hang of, that it may take a long time before I notice anything missing, not to mention I'm on stable, so by the time anything makes it my way a good amount of but quashing has already happened. I'm just happy to see another Helo coming to fruition

Everybody : is the tucano in active development or not? Razbam: yes
-
I recommend getting yourself some pedals once your budget allows, you won't be disappointed. Useful for all aircraft, especially so for helos

It's hard to tell, there's no with that octopus (or even ugra) read these forums but it's hard to overestimate how much I wasn't to see a dcs an2

Next HB aircraft module (corrected list)

id love to see the a-6 . really, i would. but unfortunately, it seems perhaps we are skewing a bit to heavily towards naval air. surely there's something unique, yet fiscally attractive (too many planes are too obscure to garner much ROI for the developer) and not naval . i voted for the f-111 it would be nice to see some helo gunships - apache or cobra come to mind i doubt the f-117 will ever be sufficiently declassified enough to do a real sim of it -

yea, but when i read wags' statement " This includes such items as lights, bingo fuel, various cockpit switches, altimeter, etc. In this way, you can have your aircraft setup just that way YOU want it. " i see no reason why user-selected default liveries shouldn't be a part of that, if the intention is to have your aircraft pre-configured to your liking so you dont need to mess with all that every time you fly -
pretty neat, tho the hardware is a bit too pricey for something only usable in mi8 & l39 at the moment (and foreseeable future) for us vr pilots

Speaking of aircraft customization, it would be nice to be able to set a default livery to your aircraft, instead of having the ground crew "repaint" your plane at the start of a flight -
I really can't wait for this one to be released!

That sounds interesting, would be nice to see that come to fruition..that, and would be nice to see 3d ns430 integrated to a few more aircraft, such as yak52 and uh1 -
Do you have something to post, or wanting to see what others are up to?
-
I bought the yak based on this thread , despite not wanting it before, and it is really a not bad experience. A bit fun, a bit different, spending time buzzing cargo ships and sailboats in Persian gulf. Surprisingly enjoyable. Yet at the same time, I'm a little disappointed at the state of this thing, and why it's still EA. Perhaps it didn't sell well enough to be a priority to finish yet,.but considering it's the least complicated aircraft ED has put out it seems it could've been finished quite quickly, without going into EA even-its not like this has many complex systems Still, this could be useful in new types of gameplay..like an inter-island bushplane on the Marianas map, or a spotter plane. I'm confused at the reasoning not to include the armed variant, allowing players to fly it as an aerobatic plane as well as for military applications

There needs to be a choice to vote "already did" now that it's available for pre-order

Thank you. I can't stand Facebook

That being said, the pedals are a worthwhile investment that enhance all the aircraft, once I had them I wouldn't want to do without (kinda like vr :). )
-
I find the pedals are most important on the busy, followed by on the gazelle. You can get by in most situations with out them on the flying school bus .. unless you're trying to land precisely or doing slingload...ka50 gets some use out of them, but they're least needed on the shark compared to the other 3
-
Yea, I agree with all this. The shark is a blast to fly. I can't imagine flying any helo without pedals, but of all of them blackshart would be the easiest to do so Interestingly, it's the only one I've managed to autorotate so far, largely cuz it can keep flying with damage that would send any other copter to the ground in flames...it's kinda funny to watch an autorotation after the whole book has gotten blown off!:megalol:

Would be nice to see a stable update before 2.5.6 comes out. I'd like to try out the JF-17 sometime in the near future
-
DOH! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!?!?!?!? :chair:
-
It is? Where/when was that? Considering all the operators of the z-5/ mi-4/ h-19 , this airframe would be useful on pretty much every map we have or the maps in progress (except the ww2 ones) Awesome news if it's coming
-
Which is what, the h-19? If it's obscure, wouldn't that make it less likely for it to ever see light of day? And if so, couldn't that be "close enough" to be happy with? I'm sure z-5 would have a English pit, so a h-19 could be just a reskin away
-
I prefer the h5 / il-28 because the number of operators who used it match several of our currently or in-progress maps, so it's widely useful. Perhaps the same could be said for the tu-16/ h6, I dunno, because of my lack of interest in flying strategic aircraft , I didn't check who operated it. Oftentimes what constitutes an interesting aircraft in real life doesn't necessarily translate into an interesting sim.

A Chinese helo would be unique, not a fighter, and likely not have a glass cockpit...I doubt that's what they're considering, but fits the criteria they gave
-
You've got a half glass cockpit, in a fighter, in an airframe- that isn't unique considering we already have a mig21. The bison would perhaps be a good mod, the way someone else is working a f-20 tigershark, but it doesn't match the criteria OP gave it. As to how well it would sell could go either way. It may be a hard sell for people who already own the mig21 We've all got our opinions, and I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but just pointing out it's unlikely considering what's been said already
